Florida's Professional Screening, LLC

I'm not one to really leave reviews or complain for that matter, but I thought I'd pass along my experience with FL Professional Screening, including the good and the bad. The job at hand was to rescreen my pool enclosure. Oliver, the owner of FL professional screening, lives in my neighborhood and was very quick to respond with an estimate for the repairs. He was also one of the least expensive at the time. During some discussions with Oliver, I had come to find out that they were planning to sheet roll the roof sections. Consumers, do your research on this. Most reputable companies rescreen individual panels and are also upfront about this. I asked Oliver if they would be willing to rescreen the individual panels on the roof and he accepted my request; however there was a slight cost increase, which I agreed to. This essentially made the total cost equivalent to other rescreening estimates that were already planning on doing this.

Now, for the quality of work. The screen job itself was decent. There were a couple of puckers, but nothing to really be concerned about. One of our main problems though, was with how very little care was taken around our property. There were multiple plants around our pool patio that were stepped on/broken including one that was trampled beyond repair. The bracket that held our pool brush was also broken off of the pool structure. I don't know if the workers were aware of the damage, but it would've been nice to have been acknowledged instead of letting us find out on our own. Maybe this is why they left without letting us know they were finished? In my books this is not professional at all.

Included in the job was also replacement of screen door hardware. I asked that these not be replaced since I had recently replaced both screen door closers with new components. I made arrangements with Oliver to leave the screen door hardware as-is and provide the replacement parts as spares. My requests were either ignored or not communicated, because one screen door was fitted with new hardware and the other door was left as is. I also did not receive the additional parts for spares.

The outer support brackets that hold the tension cables were reinstalled without care. Some were reinstalled crooked, and some not even flush with the enclosure structure. It looked as if the brackets were reinstalled without first relieving tension on the cables. This caused the screws to go in at an odd angle and gave the appearance of the corner bracket pulling out of the structure. It just looked bad. It was definitely not done correctly. Oliver did come back out to assess my complaints. He was apologetic, but did not seem genuinely concerned about fixing the issues I had. He did offer $20 off the total price, which did not seem sufficient to cover the damages. We eventually settled on $50 off to account for the damages. I do not seek any further resolution. At this point, I am glad just to be done. Based on my experience with FL Professional Screening, I will not do business with them again, nor will I refer them to anyone. I sincerely hope that my experience was a fluke, but in the case that it wasn't, I offer my review to potential customers. I hope that it helps with your decision.
