It is with great pleasure and ease to highly recommend Floridian Pools Design. Ricky was on point for the entire project from start to finish. We received excellent workmanship for great pricing. The top issue for homeowners is trusting a company to deliver what they pay they pay. The added bonus was he genuinely cares and takes great pride in your project which was very refreshing!!!

I recently had my pool totally resurfaced by Floridian Pools Design and they are excellent! The owner, *** D, provided the best price and the quality of service was wonderful. The workers cleaned up every day and left the patio spotless. The pool looks beautiful with the new tile, coping and diamond brite. The owner, Ricky, is very good about returning phone calls and communication is great. I am a very happy customer and I highly recommend Floridian Pools Design. You will not be disappointed!

Didn't finish punchlist. Didn't show liability insurance and workmans compensation policies. Pool left unfinished. Pressure release hole was drilled at the evening after questioned of safety. 30 years in business? Rookie mistakes ruined my pool.

Stop creating stories.Never asked for thicker finish coat. I asked for a decent, straight joint of the wall and coping on the same day it was applied. Attempted to correct it 2 days later without providing the business documents (liability insurance and workman's) compensation policies.
Preparation was done very poorly , that's why the guys could not make it straight.
Never answered any email, never provided any support document about the project, any warranty documents, not a single invoice. On the website they offer a deal and sales person doesn't even mention it. Revdex.com should require to answer for the complaint or proof that it's not true not letting them turn a complaint back on a customer. My pool is ruined because they hide behind an exemption sending some other people do the actual work absolutely unsupervised. He didn't even want to come and look at the problem at all. When finally he came, he made it worse.

I did not decline anything that would have made the pool look better. You sent Incompetent people to my property, they made a bad job, you wanted to correct it and at that point you didn't provide all your credentials. License and insurance. That is the reason you were asked to leave. Ever since, you had no attempt what so ever to make it better.

Can't tell you how pleased we were with the professionalism and quality of work in the remodeling of our pool (resurfacing, new LED pool lights, and tile replacement). The team worked seamlessly and did not make a mess. Equally important, they were there every day and completed the work in a week as proposed.

We highly recommend.

This is an unsolicited recommendation for Floridian Pools, owned by Ricky D. who has twice taken care of our pool, which is 20,000 square feet and 9 feet deep in Lighthouse Point. Ricky along with his daughter and son make suggestions with the ability to explain recommendations and they can repair problems so a separate crew or repairperson is not needed for every little item that might be wrong around the pool or coping. I tend to be perfectionistic and detailed and Ricky has the adaptability to deal with me and my wife along with my hours of work. In the past, I trusted no one to repair our pool so I did all the work. I trust Ricky and his careful crew to marcite, place tile, take care of the coping and cool deck. Ricky is always available, shows up frequently, and is always involved directly or indirectly with repairs. It is a pleasure to deal with an English-speaking American who is obviously never intoxicated or high on drugs. As a resident of Florida since 1970, a Ph.D. (70-year-old) psychologist who has been in practice 40 years and a professor in a doctoral program, I am an excellent judge of character, reliability, and workmanship. I want to encourage homeowners to contact Mr. Ricky D. of Floridian Pools for an estimate since you can always see his thorough workmanship throughout the tri-county.

I have called many people to get services since I am selling my house. So far the only people who get a 10 for outstanding services it is that company.

I am a local realtor with over 20 years experience in Palm Beach County .. in my business my clients always ask for referrals to reputable servicemen. My relationship and my reputation with my clients mean the world to me, so when I refer a serviceman to my clients They are an extension of the quality of service I provide. My buyers/sellers count on me to refer them to someone honest, reputable & affordable.. I have referred many clients to Floridian Pools over the last 20 years and I have always gotten excellent reviews back..
The owner (Ricky) is very pleasant & listens to the needs of clients. Floridian pools prices are Amazing.. hands down great customer service & the best price in Palm Beach County.
They don't inflate their prices like some companies I've dealt with in the past. My experience with this company for many years has been a five-star experience

Issues with major staining on new pool plaster less than a year after the job was completed.
On April 11th 2015 Floridian Pools did a complete pool resurfacing on my pool. Less than a year after getting my pool resurfaced I started noticing stains in the pools surface. I contacted *** the owner of the company to ask him if I should be concerned with what was going on. He stated that I should not be concerned and this was normal but as the weeks went by I noticed it more and more so I contacted him again. *** said he was going to send a rep from Diamond Brite *** to diagnose the issue. Supposedly the rep came by my house on a day that I was not there and told him that the pool's chemicals were off and that is what was causing the staining. I have had my pool serviced by a professional company that checks the pool on a weekly basis and so I knew that that was incorrect. Then *** suggested I pour 8-9 gallons of acid in my pool to take the staining off or to have someone acid wash my pool. I read that putting all that acid can ruin other parts of my pool and so I did not want to do that but I did have my pool company drain the pool and acid wash it. The stains were still there, nothing had changed. I contacted *** and told him to please help me come up with a solution to make this right and his response was that he does not warranty the material and he would not do anything for me. After doing some research online it seems as though calcium chloride dehydrate may have been added to the colored plaster in order to cut down on the time it takes for the plaster to set. From what I have read this is something companies do this to get the job done quicker. Calcium chloride dehydrate is not supposed to be added in a color plaster because it causes white stains to manifest months later. It seems as though the product was not applied correctly and that is exactly what was causing the staining. I recently contacted *** myself and spoke to *** whom deals with these types of issues and he did not have any record of their product being used at my address nor anyone from *** going to my house to check on my issue. I warn anyone from doing business with this company they do not stand behind their work and they are not an honest company. *** has been avoiding me since the problem occurred and has deferred all responsibility for my pool discoloration. This company has jobbers that do not have experience applying the product and so you will start seeing issues months after the job is done. *** himself instructed me to have the pool acid washed to help with the staining and now says that by me having someone acid wash the pool voided my warranty. Its been one lie after another with Floridian Pool Resurfacing. This company's warranty is not worth the paper that it is written on. I know there are many people out there who have had the same issues with Floridian Pool Resurfacing and new pool plaster staining. Getting the pool resurfaced is something that I had to save up for over a long period of time. It is terrible that after paying and trusting a company to do the job right, I will have to pay someone else to redo the job right. I have pictures, texts, and videos to backup my claims.

Desired Outcome

I know there are many people out there who have had the same issues with Floridian Pool Resurfacing and new pool plaster staining from all the negative reviews online. At this point I just want to get to the bottom of this and see if he has been lying about *** coming out misdiagnosing my pool & if he even used Diamond Brite on my pool or some other substandard product. I reall just want to know once and for all why my pool has white stains all over it & why my pool is not the color it was intended to be, I would not have *** or this company touch my pool again but I would like to figure this all out and make sure they do not do this to anyone else.

Mr *** had his pool done by my company about 4 years ago, and I have been in contact with Mr *** up until this pass Saturday, May 19, 2018. Mr *** had me come out to his pool back in 2015 as he stated that he waterfalls wasn't working properly, I then informed him that he needed to clean his filter and once I cleaned it out it worked as it was intended. After that Mr *** then called again about stains and I had *** the makers of the product Diamond Brite to go out and they told Mr *** that his pool was chemically stain from his chemicals. At that point Mr *** called out some other company to acid wash his pool and still no change as Mr *** had damaged his pool himself. I have told Mr *** he needed to call *** again which he did and they told him that they would come out again however Mr *** does not want to accept that he damage his pool. I have informed him that I would be willing to do his pool over however he would have to but the material and pay for the labor and he does not believe he should be responsible for anything. His warranty was voided when he had another company come out to work on his pool.

Thank you for getting back with me on this. What *** is saying is completely false. He keeps on mentioning my filter not being cleaned. After they did the job they never reinstalled my main drain cover because with the added thickness of the new surface the original screws were not long enough and that fist week things were getting stuck and it affected the fountains ability to work. He never came out to install the Main Drain cover but he did tell me to try replacing my filter so I secured the cover and replaced my filter and little by little the fountain started working again. All that said it has nothing to do with the staining issue which is what we are talking about. As for the staining issue he never contacted SGM nor did anyone come out from SGM to look at my pool because I recently contacted them and they have no record of any of that. My guess is that Floridian Pools used a different material on my pool and when the problem arose about the staining he lied about someone from *** coming out and ultimately blaming my pool chemicals for the staining. If he really did use Diamond Brite and someone from *** was contacted about a problem with my pool, then they would have record of the issue and record of *** buying their product. Read the email thread below between me and a rep from *** and you will see what I am saying.

In response to Mr *** complaint, On 6/14/2018 I spoke with *** from *** the current representative who went out to Mr *** home a few days prior and informed him that the diamond brite on his pool was good however his pool needs a acid wash to clear up some of the issues. I spoke with Mr *** and we came to a mutual agreement that my company would acid wash his pool and go from there.
