Review: Myself and several members of my family ordered flowers from this business for my aunt's funeral on December 19, 2013. I spent one hundred dollars and asked for a nice Christmas spray. The flowers were very poorly done and nothing like I had asked for. Also, the other flowers that were sent were of poor quality and not what was expected for the amount of money that was spent. I have NEVER been so disappointed. I called the florist afterward to express my dismay and was not offered any compensation or anything. Its too late for a do-over, but it was very embarrassing. My aunt deserved better and they basically just ripped us all off. I would never recommend them to anyone, ever. I have spent lots of money for flowers in my lifetime and this is the worst experience I have ever had. If they could not accommodate us, they should have told us and they should not be listed on the internet.Desired Settlement: I would like for the charge to be removed from my credit card.

This is concerning the complaint made on our business which has been assigned the ID number above. The customer, [redacted], called December 18lh and placed her order with my employee [redacted]. She wrote down exactly what the customer wanted and how much she was willing to pay. The spray was made the next morning. The spray was approxlmately 50" long on a 48" easel. It had winter gree nery, pine, balsum, flat cedar, holly and berries. It consisted of 10 peppermint carnations, 10 red roses, 3 white hydrangea,S gold pinecones, gold ting ting and gold accents. But, we waived the cost. During Christmas time flowers do go up. This lady asked for Christmas Greenery, Red and White with touches of gold and this is what she got. The flowers were fresh. We get flowers in almost daily. I don't understand this ladys problem. I called a Florist in Danville, VA and told them what I had in the spray and they said that they would charge 150.00 for all this. She got her moneys worth. The lady called December 23rd'" and complained about the flowers to my employee [redacted] who is a long time experienced designer also. [redacted] asked her what did she want done and she got smart with her and said, "Well, I guess it's too late now to do anything". [redacted] called the deceased daughter and she said everything was beautiful. We had several orders on this service and no one complained except Ms [redacted]. The daughter of the deceased said to get in touch with her if needed. We have been in business as Flowers by Dreama Dawn almost 5 years. We have never had a complaint like this. I, Dreama Crawford (Owner) have 40 years of designing experience, my husband also has 40 years of designing experience, as well as [redacted] with 20 years experience. I, Dreama Crawford, have been in the business world from 1981 to 1998 when I use to own Dawn's Florist here in Pulaski, VA. I sold the business in 1998 to Jamie Wyatt. When Pulaski was left with no florist, I decided to open a Flower shop with the help of my husband and [redacted]. We are professional designers and have been well recognized by [redacted] (wire service). If we are thieves (been ripped off) which I consider slander against me, why would I be highly recognized by [redacted] and also the [redacted]. I don't understand why this lady is saying all these accusations. I am always fair to my customers. They are #1 to my business. Danville, VA may make their sprays a little different, I don't really know but Ms [redacted] got her moneys worth and had fresh flowers in it. All of our customers are well satisfied. This is very upsetting to me. I do not want my reputation ruined over a 100.00 spray. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to resolve this matter. I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.My response is...I was in no way rude when I called and did not state " I guess its too late". I called to see what response I would get as in an apology, but they did not seem to be concerned about my disappointment. Anyway, I don't have ANY physical proof of what they looked like. I wish I had thought to get a photo. But, I assure you no one who saw them was pleased i.e. my sisters, ( three of them) and several other family members that I consulted. I was just the one to speak up. It seems that I am being called a liar and I don't like that...I HAVE spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on flowers over my lifetime and as I said, this was the worst experience I have ever had. You could tell the flowers that came from this shop because they all looked bad.| Its not worth the hassell. I know what I saw and I know what I said. By the way, even the funeral home recommended another florist in Dublin, but I found out too late. The other flowers that were nice came from Dublin Florists who made a delivery to Pulaski and costs less than what I paid. It is not about the money as much as it is about reliable customer service.
