Mrs [redacted] came in today at 10am to meet with the our Service Manager, [redacted] and I We discussed the leaks in her Civic with her and tried to find out who did the prior repairs We were hoping maybe that shop would take the dash out and reseal everything which is what will have to happen She said she put all of the silicone on the top of the dash but she doesn’t remember who did the bottom of it We reminded her that as we discussed when we repaired the one leak that to have her Civic not have any leaks anymore that the dash would have to be completely removed and all of the leaks found and sealed That would be a very costly repair She said she would just deal with it leaking water and put a tarp on it when it’s supposed to rain She said her car has never been in an accident but the Autofax showed it has been in one with front damage We do not know if this was the cause of her water leaks or something else caused them She also couldn’t remember how long ago it started leaking She also stated she couldn’t afford to get a new car or anything and she would just like to have her money back and she just wouldn’t worry about it leaking She stated that she understands that we did repair a leak but she has many water leaks and she can’t have them all fixed right now We advised her that as soon as it is possible for her to have it fully repaired she really needs to before the water starts causing other damage to her Civic because that could lead to more costly repairs She stated she understood and wasn’t going to worry about it and she would buy a metal garage to park it under We refunded the $on her debit card and explained one more time that putting off getting the water leaks repaired could damage equipment on her Civic She thanked us and left _______________________ [redacted] Flowers Automotive Group East Jackson Street Thomasville, Ga

Ms*** is coming in today at 10am so we can discuss the issues with her vehicle againWe explained to her that we would only be able to repair one leakHer year old Civic has many leaks and was repaired somewhere beforeOur records go back to on her Civic and there are no water
leaks mentioned until 1/2/We know many leaks were repaired many years ago because there is silicone all over her dash, under her dash, and other areas around the front of the vehicleThe old silicone is cracking and this is causing all of the other leaksShe was advised before she needs to take her car to a body shop for this extensive of a repair and that it will more than likely cost her several thousand dollars to have them all fully fixedWe will also advise her today that she should check with her insurance company to see if her car insurance will cover the repairsOur Service Manager talked with American Honda as she did and American Honda advised they will not goodwill a repair for the leaks and would not authorize our dealership to sublet to a body shop and goodwill a repair either
I will send another update after we see her today and inform of what was offered to the customer

Ms. [redacted] purcahsed a 2000 Volks Wagon Jetta with 160,074 miles on it Monday, April 27,2015 for $1,621.00 plus taxes and fees.  The sales consultant thoroughly explained to her this was a budget car with no warranty and would be purchasing "as is" and encouraged customer to...

take to her mechanic to have it "checked out" before purchasing.  Customer wanted to purchase that evening.  The finance manager also explained the car was "as is" with no warranty to the customer when she signed the paperwork.  On Thursday evening April 30, 2015, Ms. [redacted] called the sales manager and stated that she had "hit a railroad track wrong" and the car started overheating so she pulled over.  The sales manager had it towed in Thursday evening as a courtesy to the customer.  Friday morning, May 1, 2015 Ms. [redacted] came to the dealership and asked the sales manager if there was anything we could do.  The sales manager explained to her again that she bought an "as is" car with no warranty and she was responsible for any repairs.  She said thank you, got her key and left.  That afternoon a man came, worked on her car in the parking lot outside of the service department while Ms. [redacted] was standing with him and the car was driven off of the parking lot after he repaired her car.Saturday morning, May 2, 2015 Ms. [redacted] called and said we had no permission to let anyone repair her car and she was calling the police on us for it.  A deputy sheriff called and we explained what happened and that we did not give permission, we did not have the man come up here and repair her car, we do not even have a key for her car and that she was with the man part of the time he repaired it.  The deputy said thank you and we have not heard from them again.Ms. [redacted] gave the key to the man that repaired her car, was publicly affectionate towards him while he repaired her car and made no indication to any staff that she needed help getting her key from this man or to getting him to stop repairs on her car.  Our used car director was looking for a suitable vehicle to possibly exchange with Ms. [redacted] Friday evening and Saturday morning until the sheriff department was called.  We are not refunding Ms. [redacted] for the Jetta she purchased.

Mrs. [redacted] came in today at 10am to meet with the our Service Manager, [redacted] and I.  We discussed the leaks in her Civic with her and tried to find out who did the prior repairs.  We were hoping maybe that shop would take the dash out and reseal everything which is what will have to happen.  She said she put all of the silicone on the top of the dash but she doesn’t remember who did the bottom of it.  We reminded her that as we discussed when we repaired the one leak that to have her Civic not have any leaks anymore that the dash would have to be completely removed and all of the leaks found and sealed.  That would be a very costly repair.  She said she would just deal with it leaking water and put a tarp on it when it’s supposed to rain.  She said her car has never been in an accident but the Autofax showed it has been in one with front damage.  We do not know if this was the cause of her water leaks or something else caused them.  She also couldn’t remember how long ago it started leaking.  She also stated she couldn’t afford to get a new car or anything and she would just like to have her money back and she just wouldn’t worry about it leaking.  She stated that she understands that we did repair a leak but she has many water leaks and she can’t have them all fixed right now.  We advised her that as soon as it is possible for her to have it fully repaired she really needs to before the water starts causing other damage to her Civic because that could lead to more costly repairs.  She stated she understood and wasn’t going to worry about it and she would buy a metal garage to park it under.  We refunded the $277.12 on her debit card and explained one more time that putting off getting the water leaks repaired could damage equipment on her Civic.  She thanked us and left.
