Review: June 2013 purchased two TQ027 205/SR75 tires for front end. 19 August passenger side tire blew out while driving surface street. 21 August took same tire back to place of purchase, owner Sonny Sowers examined tire and said I had been running it with low air pressure and it must have been punctured. Tire had no puncture on tread, tires were set to pressure by him when I bought them. Showed me a groove around the tire where it was run flat, tried to explain to him that was from driving to get out of traffic after the tire exploded. He didnt want to hear it, could not or would not explain how both sidewalls of the tire had tears in them. He did offer to send the tire back to the company,said they would take sample of rubber and have it analyzed in lab to see if it was defective and I might not get anything back at all. For this 3 month old tire $65.00 dllar tire he offered me $25.00 if I bought a new tire today. No mention of the warrenty that might still be remaining on this one. Tried to explain I did not want a new tire, Mr Sowers got angry, told me to take my rim and tire and do whatever I wanted with them. Threw them on the asphalt beside my car. I went inside to get business address and when I came back he had put them in the trunk. I left.Desired Settlement: I dont expect to get full price for the tire, I know it is used, but what Mr Sowers didnt let me explain is that I wanted to know if I could put the $25.00 toward a used tire to have as my spare, I did not want and could not afford a new tire at that time. But I was told to leave so I did. Since he will probable not agree to that now I want whatever is considered fair for a 3 month old $65.00 tire, which must still be under warrenty.

In response to a complaint that was make against my business on 8/21/13, concerning a auto tire issue. The lady had purchased 2 tires from me 3 or 4 months ago - she said. I did not have immediate access to my records an she did not have a receipt. She told me that she was going down Bent Mtn. and the tire went flat. She had to continue driving on the tire, because she said she could not stop. There were wheel marks on the sidewalls and the inner liner had been destroyed which indicates the tire had been run flat. I do not sell road hazard warranties on tires but I try to help customers out in situations such as this. I offered to replace the destroyed tire with a new tire for $25.00 total. This included labor and taxes. She continued arguing and said that she was going to take her business somewhere else and that she wanted half her money back. I then told her that I was not going to help her at all and had my employee put the old tire and wheel back into the truck of her car.OwnerSonny Sowers, Jr.
