Floyds Knobs Body Repair Reviews (1)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowRegards, [redacted] Attached is a picture of Floyds Knobs Body Shops parking lot, an invoice from the mechanic at which the car was repaired and an audio recording of the conversation that took place between myself, [redacted] and my fatherAfter reading ***'s response to my complaint I noticed some things did not make any sense and also that he lied about the distance the car was moved on his lot (0:seconds into the audio file.) My partner went the morning of 12/12/to speak with [redacted] about these discrepancies in his story [redacted] states in his initial response to the Revdex.com that "When the car was moved here at the body shop we moved it to the paint shop which is also onsiteWhen we went to start the car to move it around in the paint shop it would not start." On the attached picture the star symbol indicates their lower parking lot where her car was dropped off by myself initiallyThe lightning bolt represents their body shopThe triangle represents their paint shopSo by ***'s own account, the odometer had miles on it (verified with their own photo.) The car moved from the parking lot, to the body shop and then down to the paint shop where they then tried to start it to move and it would not run or drive under it's own power [redacted] said the car was then taken back to the body shop by a truck, not known if it was a roll back or it was pulled up with the wheels on the groundBeing very generous to ***, the car moved AT MOST 600ft under it's own power and then stopped runningAgain by his own account the odometer read 82,when the car was running and they started to move itTheir own picture of the odometer also clearly indicates no check engine lights presentThe car had 82,miles on it arriving at the body shopThe car at a BARE MINIMUM moved miles, because of the odometer not reading tenths, while on their lot most of the time having to be pushed or put on a roll back to be movedSo there is at a minimum 5200ft which is just under a mile, the car would have had to be pushed around the lot When my partner asked [redacted] why he changed his story from when we had our conversation at his office about the distance the car moved he said he didn't and never said that it only moved 50ft My partner then played the recording of [redacted] saying this verbatimHis only explanation was that it was a "microscopic difference." [redacted] kept asking how it could be his fault in any way the car jumped timing while in his possession, on his lot, with his employee(s) behind the wheel of it So he called [redacted] (the owner of [redacted] auto) and asked herShe told him that indeed just starting the car up and moving it around could jump the timing in it, not even including the unaccountable mileage that was put on the car [redacted] proceeded to ask my partner over and over how it could have been their fault when [redacted] clearly told him moments beforeThe only explanation [redacted] has for the extra mileage is that the car may have been moved around the body shop while it was not being worked on In the attached picture you can plainly see the size of his top lot Being generous again, we'll say the very back of his body shop to the edge of the upper parking lot is 200ft The car would have had to have been moved from the back of the shop to the parking space ***times [redacted] in the business days the car was there! The explanation is insulting to me and in my opinion a bad lie to cover a mistake made on their partAlso in the their initial Revdex.com response they claim the dipstick had no oil it and was 1.5qts low on oil, which they added [redacted] *** told my partner on the day they advised me my car was not running it was one quart low so they put oil in it and it still did not startNo mention of no oil on the dipstick and the extra half quart There is absolutely no proof of this not even a charge for oil on their invoiceWhy they did not call me as soon as the car stopped running, instead of playing mechanic, is beyond me and still do not have an explanation To this day they can't tell me for certain what day the car stopped running My partner also asked for the time and date stamps on their original digital photo that was uploaded to the insurance company 7:00AM 11/18021014, hours after the car was dropped off They could not provide that Taking into account their changing stories and overall terrible handling of the entire situation, it is of my belief that they are lying to cover up wrong doing on their part and the next course of action will be hiring a civil attorney and taking the matter to court %
