Flyers Energy Reviews (1)

Review: I have been receiving heating oil home delivery service since 1992. Flyers Energy took over the company in 2014 and since this time it has been nothing but trouble. Starting in the winter of 2013 I received a delivery from [redacted] and was charged for 40 to 50 gallons of oil. The next delivery was by Flyers Energy. Their oil supply truck hose was not long enough to reach the inlet as they were using a commercial delivery truck versus a residential truck so I was asked to move my RV from the other side of the house. I stayed out and talked to the deliverer while he filled the tank, he measured the fill with a long white measuring stick and showed me the tank was filled with the usual 40 to 50 gallons. The following month with a residential truck deliverer I was billed for 189.20 gallons. This was impossible as I was gone almost two weeks during this period and the house thermostat was set at 50 degrees. I called Flyers and told them there was a mistake or else I have a leak in my tank. They told me to wait on payment until the next delivery which was for 44 gallons. I believed they billed the wrong address and they told me I didn't know what I was talking about. They finally agreed to pump out the 189.20 gallons. The next day they called and told me their truck for pumping out oil did not have a long enough hose and that I need to pay for the 189.20 gallons or there may be consequences. I was intimidated and agreed to pay in $100/monthly increments until the $762.48 bill was paid. This was completed over a five month period. On 01/04/2015 I realized I had not received an oil fill. I was told my account was closed and that a new credit app needed to be filled out. I did so immediately and it was turned down...even though my credit is near perfect. I feel ashamed that I paid for that 189.20 gallons which I knew was an error. The account manager listened with deaf ears and was very rude.Desired Settlement: I am willing to let them keep payment for 50 gallons of oil for that January-February 2014 period which I believe is generous as I was out of town for almost two weeks during that period and the house thermostat was set at 50 degrees. I would like to be reimbursed the other 139.20 gallons at $4.03 or $560.98.
