Deck was damaged and they are fighting me about repairing the damage
Flynn's came out to trim and remove trees on my property. During the job, something was dropped on my wooden deck, cracking and breaking a board as well as scratching others. I also think the frame was further warped from the pressure of a limb being dropped from "40 feet in the air" as explained by the employee who dropped the limb. After a month of complaints and threatening to call a lawyer, someone was sent to assess the damage. They were rude and argumentative during the exchange, stating that I was blowing it out of proportion and they were trying to "help" me when they caused this damage. The owner, Scott, then called and was also quite rude, using foul language and yelling during the exchange. Again, my correspondence is going unanswered and my deck is not repaired. I do agree that the frame was bending prior to the damage, but they still broke boards, scratched boards, and on close examining it does appear that the frame is now dipping further from the hard hit it took. I would expect a company to go out of their way to repair damage they caused and I have had nothing but rejection from them over the matter. I'm a single mother, I just bought this house in April, and now I have to deal with property damage when all I wanted was to make a safe environment prior to storm season.
I want my deck repaired. Simply put, I want them to put my deck back to the condition in which it was found prior to them entering my property.
When we first had spoken with Mrs. we had agreed to fix the one panel of wood that had gotten cracked by a small limb. I had continuously tried to send someone out but she seemed to always be busy the days that we had someone available to come out and fix the damaged piece of wood. On June 23rd We sent out one of our guys to replace the wood but when he got there Mrs. wasn't happy with that, she wanted the whole deck replaced because the deck was bowed. We tried to explain that there was no way that the deck bowed from the one small limb. She started to yell at our employee and was very rude to him. I advised him to leave until I could speak with her personally on how we couldn't replace a whole deck for it being bowed because it wasn't something we had caused. When I asked for her to send us before pictures she said that she didn't have any so I went on *** and pulled up some photos that where taken a couple months before we did her tree work. When I had sent her the photos from *** and compared the picture with the picture of the crack on the wood we had caused, it proved that the bow in the deck had already been there. After that I told her I would send out our engineer to inspect it and further explain to her how it wasnt possible that we had done that to her deck. she refused telling us that it wasn't necessary to send him out. We had attempted to do our part to fix the damages we caused but it wasn't enough because she wanted the whole deck replaced. We have gotten in contact with her and she is allowing us to just replace the one piece of wood instead of the whole deck Sunday July 15th which is the soonest she is available. We hope to make her happy because we do value our work and we do not want our customers to be unhappy with it. We have attached the before photos below along with the photo of the crack in the deck that we will be fixing as poof that we didn't cause the bow in the deck, only the crack in the one piece of wood.

Flynn's yet again did not show up as promised on Sunday, 7/15. I waited at home all day for someone to show up. I have ALWAYS made myself and/or my property available to them for access whenever they claim to be coming. The problem is that they never show up to said appointments. My screenshots of the text messages sent certainly back this up and unfortunately they are being very dishonest in their Revdex.com response. I have followed up numerous times after nobody shows up and have been ignored for weeks at a time. I finally threatened to take legal action and suddenly they were more than willing to come look at the damage. The person who finally came out after a month of trying to get them to take any sort of action was very defensive the entire time we spoke. I asked that they pull up the damaged board and if the foundation had been damaged by the impact, I wanted it to be fixed. At no time during any of this did I request or demand that my entire deck be replaced. I only became defensive myself when the man raised his voice. I was calm throughout the conversation since my 4 year old was present. I wanted to see evidence that the foundation was not damaged and they were very argumentative over this concept. I do not trust this company to do what they say based on my overall experience.
