On 8-1-16 [redacted] visited our service department with a concern that the vehicle was leaking coolant RO # [redacted] mileage 142562  the tech. inspected the vehicle and found the radiator leaking. [redacted] contacted the customer at 12:25 8-1-16  the customer authorized the replacement of...

the radiator and had declined to repair the leaking timing cover gasket and spark plug replacement.On 8-2-16 [redacted] returned to the service department stating that the vehicle is still leaking coolant RO# [redacted] mileage 142590 the tech. inspected the vehicle for the coolant leak and reported the water pump is now leaking from the weep hole. [redacted] was upset that her vehicle had developed another leak, we explained to her that the vehicles cooling system works under pressure and that a leaking radiator will not allow the pressure to build until it is repaired and once it is repaired it is very possible to develop a leak at another component in the cooling system. I also pointed out to [redacted] that the timing cover that the tech. had noted was leaking on the last visit is located next to the water pump and if the water pump was leaking at that time the tech. would have noted it also. We did offer [redacted] a discount on the repairs to the water pump at the time of the last visit that she declined stating that she had no more money to spend at all.
