[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They are being less than truthful, they say I was late several times on renewing the rental, simply not true, several times I was told the credit card machine was down, then when I called the business no one answered and there was no way to leave a message, the machine asked for some code not allowing me to leave a messageI had a conversation with Maurice which I put on speaker phone so Mr.L [redacted] another employee overheard Maurice tell me there were misunderstandings and everything was goodWe can subpoena MrL [redacted] and get his statements as well, I also have several text messages that went unanswered by Maurice on several occasionsThese people are ripping people off and getting away with itI want my refund for the fraudulent credit card charges, they cannot be allowed to get away with breaking the law anymoreRegards, [redacted]

The Customer involved *** *** rented a *** *** from our companyshe rented for a while and suddenly on a Sunday afternoon the car stopped while she was drivingplease also note that we don't open on Sundays as well, so she had the car towed back to our company lot
by her insurance company due to the fact the she was using her own insurance on the caron resumption of work on Monday, we spoke to her to give us time to access what the problem was with the car if the fault came from our end or from her end because the car was actually a new car we just added to our fleet, so that made the company bothered about the situationshe became impatient and even called the police on us, but the police also responded that she should give us time to access the problemfinally we got hold of our mechanic and he accessed the vehicle and found out that it was the starter that had a problem, when we discovered this, we put a call through to *** *** to cone pick up her security deposit which she did, after this she still went ahead to make some negative comments about the company after renting out the vehicle to her at a very affordable discounted rate

09/19/16Dear *** ***,This message is a response regarding to a complaint by *** *** ID *** addressing his additional concernsAfter thorough review we found out that *** *** was only late two times, our credit card machine was only down for a few hoursHe also stated that he called and there was no answer nor was there any space to leave a message, the earn company business hours were clearly stated to *** *** (werbal, writter and ever, reminders) calling the company after the close of business with intention of leaving a message isn't the best way to address any concerns he has.The employee Maurice he spoke to on speakerphone with Mrl**, was telling him the balance he owed and if he paid that ther everything is goodAccording to the rental contract *** *** signed, which states; if buyer changes mind after the (2) Week period and chooses not to move forward, then payment will be converted to a daily rental rate owedA copy of the contract and all terms, policies and guidelines are attached, as well as the copies of his credit card receipts, rental extension form and a credit card authorization form he signed.in conclusion, we find that we did not make any fraudulent charges, overcharge, charge without consent, Or didn't render services justly to *** ***We here at Focus Auto Rentals take all customers concerns very important, just as we do our name and reputationUnfortunatley there is no merit to obtain a refund for *** ***'s claimWe value all past, present, and future customers here at Focus Auto Rentals

Focus Auto Rental rented a car to one *** *** for two days, (03-12/to 03/14/2016), the vehicle was physically inspected before she took away the vehicle from our office.She call the office about an hour latter that the vehicle could not start and told him to bring the vehicle back to our
office, so that I could refund back her moneyWhen she brought the vehicle back I collect the key from her and start the vehicle in her present without any problem, at this point I offer to refund her money back, and she refuse the money said she need the vehicleEven for her to be sure that the vehicle was in good condition a representative test drove the vehicle with her.She returned the vehicle on Monday 14th, with complaint that the vehicle was pulled over by the police then we demand from her the police complain about the vehicle and she tendered a repair order that states that a headlight bulb was out and needs to be replacedShe claimed further that the police claimed the tag was suspended of which we called MVA in her presence to confirm that the tag is goodFurthermore, her brother requested for her money refund and we advised that the mileage used on the vehicle at the period of rental does not justify for no use and as a result could not give full refund but offered to give a car to her free for a day to bring back the next day as it was just a defect that happened while she was driving and not given to her in that conditionShe refuses the offer(Mileage out and, mileage in 116381).In conclusion we do not think her reason of getting full refund is justified as explained but can offer to give her half day back in the amount of $just to give peace a chance.Please find attached detail of the police paper and the renter policy signed by her for your further decision on this matter.Thanks for your value understanding

We are glad for the opportunity to state our account of the issue brought to your attention by one of our customers – [redacted] - about her business transaction with our noble organization.[redacted] is one of our numerous customers under the Auto Rent-To-Own programme – a Bi-Weekly Payment...

Plan Car Purchase Agreement. [redacted] signified her interest in the programme and the process was thoroughly explained to her. After showing her the cars we have for the RTO programme, she signified interest in one of the cars – a 2006 [redacted] which unfortunately was not readily available as at that time. This was made clear to her and she agreed to ride in one of our other available cars pending the availability of her preferred vehicle.The Preferred vehicle was made available to [redacted] but developed a fault afterwards and was towed back to our lot. [redacted] was given another car to drive that same day so as to check what the issue with her RTO car. After a check, the problem was discovered to be an electrical issue that could not have been envisaged. In a bid to meet [redacted]’ desire of an urgent need to be in a car and to offer immediate resolution, we introduced the option of another vehicle – a 2008 Volkwagen Jetta (the cheapest on the lot for the RTO programme as at that time). This newly proposed car was slightly expensive due to its Year, Make and Model which [redacted] agreed to without any complain. On her insistence of getting her refund for the tow, [redacted] was informed that her refund will be deducted from her payment towards the end of her contract payment with us which we thought she agreed to. Also it was explained to her that the Registration Fee is part of the payment highlighted to her the first time she made enquiries about the RTO programme.However, On Saturday November 25th 2017, we reached an agreement with [redacted] on a way to resolve this issue without any further escalation where we agreed that the Tow refund be taken of her next payment which she agreed to, as a resolution to this matter. While there will be no refund on the Registration Fee which is part of the pre-requisite for every of our Rent-To-Own agreement.Should you have any question(s), please do not hesitate to reach us on [redacted].

Focus Auto Rentals rented [redacted] a vehicle from O6/25/16- o8/o5/16, [redacted] was given a discount because he was renting a vehicle under the Rent-To-Own Program, he was informed that he would be charged the regular rate after the program trial period ended. After the trial period, [redacted]...

[redacted] explained how he had liked the vehicle, but was not able to satisfy the down payment amount needed to move forward. The $200 deposit would've applied to the tags, not the down payment. He was informed that the regular rate would apply since he was not moving forward, after discounting the vehicle to establish customer loyalty and satisfaction and even agreeing to fix the small repairs as long as he perform the inspection, he did not have enough funds to cover rental. [redacted] was late several times in returning the vehicle or making an extension which resulted in late fees, we even offered him a vehicle at a lower rate to accomadate him. We actually even waived over $100 dollars in late fees throughout his rental tenure. [redacted] was not overcharged at all, he was renedered services and his payment was received in return.In conclusion we do not find his reason of getting a full refund is justified as explained, please find copy of rental agreement forms attached.Thanks for your understanding.Manager us Auto Rentals
