I absolutely refused the car that they wanted to give me backIt was dangerous, not only for the brake line but for the transmissionThe thought that they would put me BACK into that car after I nearly killed my children is ludicrous No one in their right mind would've taken that car back

[redacted] contacted us at the shop stating that she a a small oil leak and a wind noise around her windsheild I told her to drop it off asap and we would look at it She stated that she would need a loaner car to drive, I told her that I could supply her with a vehicle but they were all out at the moment She told told me to contact her when I got one back, so as soon as I got one back I called her and she brought her vehicle in While she was here I went out and looked at her vehicle with her, I found a small crack in the valve cover We did not install a valve cover on the initial repairs We installed a camshaft phaser actuator at the front of the valve cover I did not say it should have never happened, I actually said that with how small the crack was that it would have been easy to miss She told me that she wanted the alternator replaced and I told her that I would replace the alternator and serpentine belt So I gave her our Dodge Caravan to drive while we had her car free of charge A brake line did fail while she had it and we towed it back to our shop and replaced the brake line the very next day, I apologized for the inconvenience and offered to let her continue to use it so she wouldn't continue to have to pay for a rental She refused to use it I had contacted her insurance the day after she dropped off and it took the just over a week to come in and inspect her car As soon as they gave me the ok to do the additional repairs we completed them and contacted [redacted] to let her know that she could come pick it up.Sincerely Travis B [redacted]

*** ***Tammy states that we would give them 5,and keep 2,for painting and CASHING CHECKAbsolutely true.Painting was to be for damaged parts which was hood and fender not entire truck.Per estimate there was hours painting at cost of 1056.30.Realistic estimate to paint a semi dump
truck cab and hood starts at 5,dollars.Sincerely, *** * ***

I was truly sorry that [redacted] experienced a broken brake line. Todays vehicles are built with dual master cylinders so that you still have half the brake system to stop you.The vehicle is repaired and being driven. All things being considered we would be willing to offer three days rental 45.00.Sincerely, Louis P B[redacted]

I absolutely refused the car that they wanted to give me back. It was dangerous, not only for the brake line but for the transmission. The thought that they would put me BACK into that car after I nearly killed my children is ludicrous.  No one in their right mind would've taken that car back.

I am rejecting this response because: Blubaugh's Body & Frame NEVER did the work. They are keeping the money even though it was NEVER done which I think is very unfair and unlawful to keep something that they NEVER earned. I truly believe they should have to pay back the money that they are keeping and never earned. They are saying that it is "overhead" money. For what? They NEVER did anything. We WAS able to get the full truck painted by a reputable company for the $2500. They also used the type of paint that we wanted. I would like this matter to be taken care of ASAP. I will also never deal with or recommend them to ANYBODY. I have attached the receipt from Blubaugh's and from Richard Wolfe Trucking.

[redacted] contacted us at the shop stating that she a a small oil leak and a wind noise around her windsheild.  I told her to drop it off asap and we would look at it.  She stated that she would need a loaner car to drive, I told her that I could supply her with a vehicle but they were...

all out at the moment.  She told told me to contact her when I got one back, so as soon as I got one back I called her and she brought her vehicle in.  While she was here I went out and looked at her vehicle with her, I found a small crack in the valve cover.  We did not install a valve cover on the initial repairs.  We installed a camshaft phaser actuator at the front of the valve cover.  I did not say it should have never happened, I actually said that with how small the crack was that it would have been easy to miss.  She told me that she wanted the alternator replaced and I told her that I would replace the alternator and serpentine belt.  So I gave her our 2005 Dodge Caravan to drive while we had her car free of charge.  A brake line did fail while she had it and we towed it back to our shop and replaced the brake line the very next day, I apologized for the inconvenience and offered to let her continue to use it so she wouldn't continue to have to pay for a rental.  She refused to use it.  I had contacted her insurance the day after she dropped off and it took the just over a week to come in and inspect her car.  As soon as they gave me the ok to do the additional repairs we completed them and contacted [redacted] to let her know that she could come pick it up.Sincerely Travis B[redacted]

Revdex.com called business to follow up on this complaint and spoke to [redacted] who responded verbally. He said he and the consumers had a clear understanding that he would withhold the amount in question for overhead, and they agreed to it at the time. He said this included his writing up the estimate, locating the parts and handling the project up to the point they changed their minds. He also faxed documentation to support his position. He also gave them a shop credit for $800.
