Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/10/05) */
Dear [redacted],
Mr. [redacted] has purchased a Ford Mustang from ALC sometime in 2004, and on 9/16/16 he voluntary came into ALC to purchase another vehicle. Mr. [redacted] told me how much he loves his Mustang and showed me a picture of it. He...

test drove a few different vehicles in my absent and decided to purchase the 06 Hyundai and ALC sold it to him "As-IS" and financed as well. When I returned to ALC, we were discussing the warranty and he refused, he said "You know I work on my own cars, I don't need a warranty". I advised him since I am paying for the 90 days drive train warranty, there was no charge to him and I would like for him to match my 90 days free warranty. Therefore, he will have 6 months or 6,000 miles contract service agreement. He agreed to do so and sign all of the proper documents and took possession of the vehicle on 9/16/16. On the same evening, he called and told me that something happened to the engine and what should he do? I recommended him to call 1-800 # (ASC warranty)to have the flat bed take the car to Norm's Service Center in New Haven, after he did so. He called back again and was concerned. I advised him there is nothing else that I can do until they have a chance to diagnosis the vehicle. I assured him that auto service center will honor, and will pay for repairs, as soon as the vehicle leaves ALC premises, and does not matter how soon the vehicle broke down. Furthermore, I advised him that they understood when the mechanical failure occurred, not one could see through the crystal ball. Additionally, when I've had difficulty with my personal automobile, I cannot contact the bank and demand for the bank to repair my vehicle. Nor, I do not have the option to return the broken vehicle to the bank, and let them know I do not wish to have this vehicle any longer! This car was sold "AS-IS". Mr. [redacted] was well aware of that. What have transpired on the morning 9/17/16, I am enclosing an affidavit of [redacted] for your review. It is my understanding, Mr. [redacted] is mechanically inclined and had very good idea what has happened to the engine because Norm's has diagnosis this vehicle's engine to be replaced with a used engine. Please notice Mr. [redacted] initialed on ASC Service Contract Agreement maximum coverage we had is a 6,000 mile and only [redacted] The documents indicating 'AS-IS" are also enclosed. That is why he panicked and did not want to wait for a diagnostic until following Monday. In summary, ASC will pay [redacted] and ALC will pay [redacted] and I am willing to split the cost of purchasing and replacing the used engine with Mr. [redacted] in a good faith. ALC will only pay for a "used" engine to go into Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle. I am enclosing all of the proper documents which Mr. [redacted] signed on 9/16/16 for your review.
Respectfully,
[redacted]
