I am indifferent about how the Revdex.com resolves this issue from this point onWe have practiced veterinary medicine for years and see approximately 28000-office visits a yearObviously, we are a high volume clinic and we do a lot of things rightThis lady has not provided adequate care for her petIt was non vaccinated and had not been groomed for more than two yearsYou can only imagine how matted this pet was at the time of the examAs far as not wanting to groom pets - we only do this as a courtesy where medical attention is warranted for the pets condition of negligenceT his is done out of care and compassion for the animal in need, not for the clientI can only imagine how many complaints the Revdex.com has against pet groomersAs far as the picture reveals it was clipper burn and is very difficult to avoid considering where the mats were located and how closely there were adhered to the skinHad the owner brought the cat back yearly instead of two years we might have been able to pull out the matsPer my licensed veterinary technicians opinion, she was not able to remove the mats this wayIn my opinion, this complaint was completely over exaggerated and unnecessary

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As DrKarsteter’s attached documents clearly show, I have been taking my cat to his office for several years for grooming services. If he no longer wishes to provide grooming services, I should have been advised that grooming services were no longer available at his facility. On July 9, I was escorted to one of his rooms for the express purpose of removing matts from my cat. It was my understanding that payment would be due for such services as they always have been in the pastI was in fact charged $for the services. This was not a courtesy
In regards to the injuries my cat received, the attached picture clearly shows three open wounds on his leg resulting from the services provided by his facility. As you can see this is NOT razor burn. I believe his tech knew that she injured my cat when it happened and simply ended the grooming without mentioning that he had been cut, because when my cat calmed down at home and I could examine him, I not only noticed the wounds but he still had matts on his other leg
I am requesting a refund in the amount of $65. In his response, DrKarsteter ignored my request for a refund. Therefore, it is my opinion that this complaint is not settled

8/5/15 Spoke with Dr. Vince Karsteter. He said he wanted to know what to do with this complaint. I told him he needed to respond to the issues of the complaint. Points he made during conversation:He never once raised his voice or yelled at the consumer.He had previously explained to her that they...

are not a groomer, they are a veterinary clinic. They only remove mats in fur when they are serious and in the course of treatment of the animal. They have been doing this for her cat only as a courtesy up til now.The consumer only brings her cat in when she wants the cat groomed. She will not allow them to vaccinate or treat the cat. She only wants the mats cut out.The last time she brought the cat in, the mats were so thick and close to the skin that the tool used to remove the mats left clipper burn. Although they try to avoid this, it can happen in a situation like this.Dr. Karsteter is going to email chart notes as part of his response.SEE ATTACHED CHART NOTES

Obviously, we are a high volume clinic and we do a lot of things right. This lady has not provided adequate care for her pet. It was non vaccinated and had not been groomed for more than two years. You can only imagine how matted this pet was at the time of the exam. As far as not wanting to groom pets - we only do this as a courtesy where medical attention is warranted for the pets condition of negligence.
