Folsom Chevrolet Reviews (4)

I am rejecting this response because: It is weak and does not hold Folsom Chevrolet/Geo accountable for their actions. I have included a copy of the email that was sent to me telling me my credit application would not be submitted without my approval. There is no guarantee that Folsom Chevy will not continue this practice nor does it do anything to resolve the THREE (3) hard inquiries that they added to my credit report.

Response:Attached is the disclaimer that is included with all our online applications for credit, in which the customer authorizes Folsom Chevrolet to run and send credit to outside financial institutions. It states, “You [the customer] (1) make the above representations, which are certified correct, for the purpose of securing credit; (2) authorize us[Folsom Chevrolet], affiliated entities, and financial institutions to whom we submit your application (hereinafter "Financial Institutions") to obtain consumer credit reports and to gather employment history as necessary and appropriate to determine your creditworthiness.” Reviewing the emails that were sent, including where [redacted] said he would not submit your credit, and also the phone conversations that took place between the customer and [redacted], the credit was sent to other financial institutions only after [redacted] was told by the customer that they wanted a real quote. Due to the customer’s credit history Folsom Chevy could not make a decision without sending the information over to the banks for approval. The conversation with [redacted] came after the banks would not accept a lease on a 2015 Camaro based on the customer’s credit. [redacted] was seeing if the customer wished to see what a purchase on a 2016 Camaro would be knowing that there are incentivized leases available on the 2016.

Review: On January 13, 2016, I submitted an online request to Folsom Chevrolet for LEASE pricing on a 2015 Camaro. Through emails, the [redacted], said he would not provide me any information until I filled out a credit application (even though I already knew my credit score and gave it to him), but he promised me it was ONLY for informational purposes and HE WOULD NOT SUBMIT THE APPLICATION TO ANY BANKS WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. After several more emails, I began receiving phone calls from his [redacted], trying to SELL me a 2016 Camaro. I told him I was not interested in a purchase and decided not to continue business with Folsom Chevrolet Over the next 10-14 days, I received notices from three (3) different banks stating that my "request for a vehicle loan with Folsom Chevrolet" had been denied. I am able to track my credit score/rating online and, when I did, I discovered Folsom Chevrolet had submitted three applications WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. These submissions gave me a D rating in Credit Requests.Desired Settlement: Stop checking individuals' credit scores without their approval.

I am rejecting this response because: You have not provided any new information or a reasonable answer for your unprofessionalism.

Review: I brought my car in for service for an oil change, tire rotation, air filter, and transmission service (flush and fill). Upon completion the technician told me I had to replace my transmission due to a leak. The service advisor took my car and had another mechanic look at it and informed me it was not leaking and that the other technician did a sloppy job and did not properly clean the under-carriage. A couple of days later I checked my PSI on my dashboard only to find the same settings (38 PSI in the fronts, 37 PSI on the left rear, and 32 PSI on the right rear). The workorder called out for tires to be rotated and all tires reset to 32 PSI. My rear treads measured at 5/32 and my front treads measured at 4/32. They still measure the same which tells me tires were not rotated and/or PSI was not set on each tire. It is impossible without the technician knowing that I have a plug on my right rear which is set to 32 PSI prior to coming in to have actually rotated my tires and then inflate and deflate each tire precisely to where they were before once rotated and set into position (two [2] factors to validate this paid service was not done). When I called in to talk about this with the Service Manager he was nice to the point where I said I was thinking about filing a complaint at which point he called me a little puke and told me to bring my car in to pull the right rear tire off to see if there was a plug on it. When I told him I would be there later today he told me he does not want me to return to Folsom Lake Chevy and that Folsom Lake Chevy does not want my business and that he is refunding me my entire amount for the services I paid for. I have to say that I am flabbergasted at the unprofessionalism that Folsom Lake Chevy treats and speaks to their customer(s) and consider this to be fraud as I paid for a service that was not performed and now I am being told not to return.Desired Settlement: Folsom Lake Chevrolet promised to refund me in the amount of $253.09. The business should not be allowed to charge its customers for services they do not perform and then tell them not to return ever again as the customer(s) business is not welcomed anymore. This is fraud and the dealership should be held accountable for this so that other customers do not have to experience this.

Response:

Per the customer's desired settlement, we refunded him $253.09 (check# [redacted]) on 4/6/2016. According to our bank statements the $253.09 was debited from our account 4/11/2016. Please let me know if you have any other questions in regards to this case.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

My question is what course of corrective is being made agains Folsom Chevy to ensure other customers are not paying for services that are not being completed by the dealership as that constitutes fraud?
