Review: I have just begin purchasing a few items from Food Source here and there. While it does not have the best quality on certain items, the convenience and price can come in handy. On Saturday November 1, 2014 I made a purchase at the Food Source location on Watt Ave in North Highlands, CA. Amongst the food items I purchased were two bell peppers. I frequently cook dishes with these vegetables. Today on November 4, 2014, three days subsequent to my purchase I began to cook with both of them. Upon biting into one I noticed a large sum of mold inside of the bell pepper. I then cut it in half and was very disgusted. Mind you the purchase was not too long prior to this instant and I am appalled at the lack of food safety and procedures that have been followed by this company. If I become ill and have to take time off of work I will take further legal action. I have several photos both with the time and date of this incident.Desired Settlement: Food Source will refund me for my purchase which totaled exactly $74.39. I have a credit card statement which shows the amount and date of my purchase. Not only will I not return to this company for any food for the safety of myself and my family, I am requesting an additional $1000 to compensate me for my time, gas, pain and suffering, and negligence. However, if I need additional medical care and time away from work I will have my lawyer contact your headquarters to pursue this case further.
