Review: I purchased some yams from foodway amongst a couple of other grocery items on Thursday the 26th of June 2014. I cut the yams only 3days after and discovered that they were all rotten. These yams are extremely expensive and cost me 21usds.When I called the store and asked to speak with the manager , the individual who answered the phone said he was the manager , refused to give me his name and rudely told me that since it was over 24hours since I purchased the yams, whatever state they were in was my problem.I tried to explain to him that these are tuber products that are supposed to last weeks and that it did not make sense to go home and cut up all the tubers of yam on same day of purchase when they were about 3 separate yams, use them all up on that day or drive all the way from my home over 8miles away just to return the yams if they were rotten; he would not give the chance to speak and kept interrupting me. He ended up dropping the call abruptly when I asked his name.Desired Settlement: There should be some accountability on the store management's part to ensure that foodstuff sold in terrible conditions not visible outwardly be removed from the store and otherwise , refunds made to customers. There should be some sort of recourse to the customers .The manager should be suspended for his inappropriate delivery of customer service.
