At this time, I have been contacted directly by Foodtown regarding complaint ID [redacted] , however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Corporate offices replied and said the matter will be forwarded to the storeThey informed me that the store would directly contact me however they have yet to do so In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

On December *, 2015 at approximately 1948 hours, I approached the cash register in Foodtown attempting to pay for my groceries. My total was $25.24 I gave the cashier Shumaila a $100 dollar bill. She looked at my bill, and took it to the manager to verify if it was real. The managers checked the bill looked at the register I was standing by, and came over and said they can not accept my money because it looked fake. They checked the bill with a marker and the color showed that the bill was not counterfeit. I said if you marked the bill and its not counterfeit why can't you take my money. The manager Efrain said because it looks fake and asked me to pay with another bill. I didn't have another bill, so the cashier Shumalia unpacked all my grocery and stated " I know how you people do" what you mean you people. Just because I'm young and [redacted] I'm trying to run a scam? The manager asked me again if I had another bill, I emptied my pockets to show the manager I had no other bill, and when I took my pockets out, my NYPD shield fell out showing that I'm an officer of the law. The manager still denied my money. The customer behind me on line said you marked the bill, and its real, whats the problem. The customer then pulled out a $50 dollar bill to get marked, and his bill displayed the same marking. The manager still refused to take money, because he said it looks fake. The customer behind me went to his car, and got a money scanner to prove that my money was real. My money scanned as a real bill. The manger then took my $100 dollar bill to the back as he matched it up against other bills he had. After all that was done, they allowed me to purchase my groceries. While as this is gong on, I'm standing to the side while she rings up other customers. This is by far the worst experience I ever had in any store. They assumed because I was young and black that my money was counterfeit.

We have honored this women's coupons numerous timesThey are not valid coupons since they have bar codes which continuously do not scanWhen we enter them manually in our system they register as invalidWe have accepted these non valid coupons often in the past simply to satisfy the customer, however we cannot continue to redeem coupons which are not reimbursable from our vendorsThe customer becomes very rude and aggressive when we explain that she cannot continue to redeem invalid coupons even though we have given her multiple bags of free cat litterAt this point we feel that the customer is simply taking advantage of our stores generosityWith respect to the Revdex.com we would extend one more free bag of Fresh Step as a good will gesture

Review: This store refuses to accept coupons on any sale items. Other stores in the neighborhood will accept them. I spoke with the cashier and a man who identified himself as the [redacted] and was told that "they don't even have to accept coupons if they don't want to." According to you website under store coupons, "they are usually the hottest bargains in the store." Yet this store will not allow me to purchase a sale item with a coupon! I would like to know why this store is allowed not to accept coupons on sale items where other store will?Desired Settlement: I would like to be allowed to use manufacturer coupons on sale items at this store. Why does this store get to decide when they will or will not accept manufacture coupons?

Review: I had received a Rain Check back in May 2014 for Lobster Tails. The store did not have any at that time. For several months I would stop by the store but they would always be out of stock. I spoke with the [redacted] and they assure me they would have it in on August **. August **, Wednesday at about 7:00pm I preceded to get 4 Lobster Tails and went to pay for them when the [redacted] told me I can only purchase 2 Lobster Tails, I asked why, he said its on the Rain Check, I asked him to show me and he proceeded to Tear the Rain Check up and continue to tell me I can only purchase two. There was no limit when they were on sale in the Circular and they were not on sale that day I purchase them. I was only buying Four, I was Lied to and treated like I was trying to get something for free when I was clearing paying for them! The [redacted] did not want to compromise or come to a better solution for this situation, it was his way or no way! There was never any Limited to buying Lobster Tails before, he made it up why I have no Idea!Desired Settlement: Being able to go back to the store and Buy the other two Lobster Tails for the $9.99 and having that [redacted] apologize. That would settle everything.
