I paid 425.00 for custom made orthotics that do not work for me, I had them adjusted 3 times and they do not work, they give me pain. I asked store manager for a refund and they told me I could only get 50 percent store credit and return the orthodics. This does not seem fair. I contacted foot solutions marketing department in *** for them not to get back to me, I had to call them back 2 weeks latr for the same answer.

I’m responding to the complaint from *** (complaint ID). I’m attaching copies of her receipt with the store polices, the displayed store policy, along with all correspondence in reference to her. Our store policy is anything that is custom made cannot be refunded because it cannot be resold. This is explained to anyone who purchases custom made products as well as fully displayed in the store front and listed on all receipts. We keep detailed records on all custom orthotic modifications but have no record that her custom orthotics were ever adjusted. I offered free modifications, recasting, and when she didn’t want either of those options I offered her 50% store credit to use towards any product of her choice. The 50% credit already goes above and beyond what is normally offered for custom made products. I retracted all of her personal information as per your letter but can offer you this if requested. I disagree with this response I went to Foot Solutions 3 seperate times after I had purchsed the orthodics. When purchasing them the girl waiting on me did NOT say you cannot return these it was on in small writing on the receipt. The first time I went back to foot solutions they gave me a 1/2 size smaller in my sneakers that so I could see if the orthodcis fit any better, I had to pay 20.00 more for the sneaker because the style was a newer style. Which attached is the receipt but does not reflect the 20.00 I paid in cash. I am sure the drawwer from the day of 10/17/19 The dash drawer should be 20.00 higher. Not sure why the reciept does not show it. Second time I went back the girl adjusted the orthodics, when she brought them out to me, I said "wow these are warm in my sneakers" she said that because we melt them in the back to adjust to your foot. The third time I went back I was with my mother in law to her medicare shoes, that is when store manager told me about the 50 percent back towards another item and would take the orthocis back from me. I do not have exact dates from the 3 times I was in store but I am sure they can look at their security cameras and see I was there if I give approxomate dates. So please dont say I didnt try to work with Foot Solutions on this matter. Why wouldnt this be documented? I know exactly who sold and waited on me these 3 sperate times, I could idenifty them from pictures. I will not metion names in this response unless you need me to. I know the customer should be satisifed in this situation. It isn't like I didn't try to work with them, I just do not want the orthodics fter tying them and would like a refund. I am sure a exception can be made to keep a custome happy.

This is explained to anyone who purchases custom made products as well as fully displayed in the store front and listed on all receipts. I can offer free modifications and recasting (as I previously stated) but if she doesn’t want either of those options I’m offering her 50% store credit to use towards any product of her choice. The 50% credit already goes above and beyond what is normally offered for custom made products. I’m also attaching the receipt of 10-17-19. Whenever someone exchanges the size of the same product we even exchange the purchase and never require anyone to pay a difference so I can ensure you that we did not charge her anything more for a size change. To be sure I did go back to 10-17-19 register log and summary and it DID NOT show any discrepancy. My staff has been with me for several years and has never given me reason to not trust them so I truly believe she is mistaken. I attached the receipt showing an even exchange for your reference. The only thing I’m able to offer her is 50% store credit for the custom orthotics if she wants to return them. Please let me know if any further actions are needed or deemed necessary.
