response because: My initial offer was $5,below the list priceThe listing agent informed my agent that the bank was only looking at full price offersAs soon as I was told that by my agent I agreed to do a full price offer which was immediately submittedThe listing agent told my agent that the bank loved my offer and to get estimates to replace the carpetMy agent immediately set up estimates for the carpet to be replacedBoth estimates came back at $3,and both estimates were submitted to the listing agentWe then sat and waited for SEVEN weeks for a responseEvery time my agent would email the listing agent she was told that I needed to be patient and if I didn't want to wait that I should just go find a different house to buyThere was never ANY mention regarding the VA loanFinally my agent tried to speak with the listing agents broker only to find out the listing agent is the broker so she then started trying to contact the bank that owns the propertyShe called, left voice mail messages and email messages multiple timesNo communication was made with my agent from the bankI also started contacting FNMA regarding the propertyFinally my agent was told by the listing agent that the property was a cash only deal which was not listed on the MLS listingThere had been no previous mention of the property being cash onlyI even submitted a third offer stating that I would be willing to make the repairs at my own expense prior to closingFNMA finally responded directly to me to say that they would be willing to do the VA loan and that repair work would be negotiated but that they would only be willing to negotiate up to $1,towards repairsThe carpet alone would cost an additional $2,to replace! This is why I decided to look for a different propertyAfter being jerked around by the listing agent and FNMA I walked away from a perfect property for me and my family after months of attempting to purchase this propertyIf the listing agent had been up front and honest from the beginning I would not have wasted months trying to purchase a cash only propertyBut at this point I see the property still listed on the MLS without a "cash only" designationThis leads me to believe that the listing agent is untrustworthy and is manipulativeHe is also irresponsible, unethical and downright hostile to other agents

Review: I am trying to buy a house that is owned by a division of FNMA using my VA loan. The house came on the market on 4/22/15. My Realtor set up an appt for us to view it on 4/23/15 and I put in an offer for $170,000. There was no response and finally after days of trying my Realtor was able to reach the FNMA Realtor and was told FNMA would only accept a full price offer. I immediately put in a full price offer of $175,000 for the house. My offer was submitted through my Realtor to the Realtor representing FNMA on 4/28/15. We were told initially that they accepted my offer (verbally) but wanted to make sure that it would qualify for VA. They then had my Realtor get 2 estimates to replace the carpeting since it would have to be done for the VA loan. Those estimates were submitted to FNMA's Realtor on 5/5/15. There has been no activity since that point. It has been 5 full weeks since the carpet estimates were sent to their Realtor and we have not heard a word since then. My Realtor contacted the other Realtors broker on 5/20/15 and the broker said there was nothing they could do. My Realtor then started trying to contact FNMA directly through email and phone calls on 5/26/15. She has had no response via phone or email. She has continued trying daily to get any response. The Realtor representing FNMA has been hostile when he responds to my Realtor if he responds at all. It has now been 37 days since my full price offer. We are still not in escrow and there is absolutely no response from FNMA. We have been told that there are no other offers on the property and that only 1 other person has viewed it. I don't know what the hold up is. There is no communication from FNMA. We are no closer to closing on this property that we were on April 23 when we initially viewed it! Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! The property I am trying to purchase is [redacted]Desired Settlement: Desired resolution would be that I am able to purchase the home and there be a full explanation as to the listing realtors actions. I would also desire to not work with this man at all throughout the rest of the process and that the listing agent be changed to someone who is not hostile towards me via my realtor.
