We have attempted to contact the patient via phone to resolve the issue and refund her $copay but have not heard back as of 4/24/We have reviewed her complaints and discussed these issues with the persons involvedWe feel confident that the problems the patient
experienced will not be duplicated. Our company successfully treats and rehabilitates hundreds of patients a day and truly strive to meet and exceed their expectations; we were disappointed this did not occur in this caseWe take this feedback seriously and have taken corrective action as a result

The patient was first seen on 4/16, at which time the claim was sent to insurance. After receiving her initial complaint on 4/20, we refunded the copay and contacted her insurance company to rescind the payment. Our billing department is following up to make sure her insurance...

experienced will not be duplicated.  Our company successfully treats and rehabilitates hundreds of patients a day and truly strive to  meet and exceed their expectations; we were disappointed this did not occur in this case. I had been going to the Dysart location for a few months. 1 of the part owners & a physical therapist ~ offered to bill my insurance & Medicare, let me off the hook for the balance once Medicare was maxed out for the year. Sounded great.

Sometime later, she made a comment "don't tell me you can't afford the co~pay if you can afford to smoke". Interesting as I wasn't aware there were conditions placed on her offer.

I use to be pretty athletic ~ actively playing softball & volleyball. Even water volleyball when I could. Pretty darn good too.

Then life handed me a different plan ~ at 25 I had major abdominal surgery. Received zero therapy to recover. Worked my butt off to be able to get back in shape to play again. Played regularly until my late 30s. Then I had a hysterectomy ~ post op staph & became septic. Spent a week at Desert Sam hospital. Fought my way back again.

Had a great career & saved lots of money. Then life gave me another long lasting blow ~ numerous auto immune diseases, debilitating spinal issues, muscular disease & as a kicker rheumatoid arthritis.

Tried to continue working, but I wasn't able to. Spent 3 yrs with no able to work. Spent our savings & then some. I had to break down & ask my parents for money to pay our mortgage. Attempted suicide more than once due to me being a burden on my husband & family.

I don't drink as I don't like alcohol. I started smoking out of frustration & anger of not working. Once I became addicted, I couldn't stop. I've put on over 40lbs from medical steroids so they could control my SED rate. Its devastating to be handed the cards you've been dealt due to no choice of your own.

I'd go back, but I can't handle the judgemental behavior of the physical therapist. Even though I could probably afford it today.

Guess her being a triathlete gives her special judgemental abilities.

Review: I filed a complaint with this conpany and they are still billing my insurance even though they gave me back my co payment .I believe they are billing my insurance around 400 dollors.and they preformed a botched therapy session that resulted in me being out of work longer...so if this matter is not dealt with I will get a lawyer involved.thanksDesired Settlement: Would like this matter resolved with my insurance company..or I will pursue legal matter

Review: It was the foothill sports medicine on 4550 east bell rd.ste.270 my doctor recomended them for my right shoulder that I hurt...I called for a appt and set one up for this past thur.they told me to come in 15 minates before appt to fill out paperwork cause I was a new patient.I came in and went to front dest and sighed in and sat down I was the last name on the paper and there was a couple of people ahead of me.im with a friend and we are sitting talking and im not really paying attention to time so I look at my phone and notice it past my appt time so I go up to front desk and ask them if they want me to fill in paperwork and the girl says oh are u waiting for theapy and I am just dumbfounded cause they saw me sigh in.so I fill in paperwork and the pysical theapy comes over to me and we go in a exam room and he asked me what is wrong I tell him I pulled something in my shoulder and it brings on my migraine..he says he can help me and he does something to the back of my neck and some preasure is gone and he takes me though a couple of different things with my shouder and he says it is because I have bad posture and I slouch cause im a cashier and he says I just need to do some exercises to streathin it.so he has a young teck guy take care of me and the pysical theapict sits vehind a computer the whole time.the teck guys shows me a exercize and says hes gonna put a 4 minate timer on me to do the exersize and he doesnt see if im doing it right he put the timer on and walks away.when timer goes off he shows me once anouther exercize puts the timer on and doesnt even stay there long enough to see if im doing it right and he walks away.by now im really irritated cause I could have stayed home and done this..at one point he shows me a wall exercize and I perposly do it wronge to see if this guy is even paying attention to me and he walked away..ive never ben to pysical theapy but I know you dont treat a first time person that pays a copay and I have medical insurance like this...this is the first and last time I will ever follow my doctors order and go to this facilaty ever again.I do exercizes at home and im gettting better.should have done that to began with.im surprized this business is still in businessfrom a 1 to 10 its a negitive....Desired Settlement: Never want to see these people ever again
