Review: Purchased a prom dress for my daughter at Footlights paid $279.00 after a 10% discount because I paid cash. Dress needed alterations was too long, was told it would cost between $40 & $50 cash. Left dress in store for alterations when picked up I noticed right away that it didn't look good. Mention to [redacted] & was told once she steamed it would be fine. Nope not really steaming can not fix the mess they did. After complaining again was told by [redacted] to call the seamstress myself which I did. This was [redacted], she told me to bring dress back to store but because I told her the work was sloppy she was very insulted since she never heard that before & told me to bring it to her house & she would fix it. I did go to her house & she told me " It must of been a day that I was tired" "they brought me too many dresses". Not my problem I told her I paid for the service & expected to have it done properly. [redacted] attempted to fix it but its a mess. Bottom of dress has double stitch in some areas of seam, the stitch skips every so often & material bubbles up pieces of thread are just hanging. I have since been trying to contact [redacted] & can not get a hold of her either shes very busy at the time or never returns my calls. She must know my number by now & no longer answers her phone the last few times I have called. I am very upset!!! I left the dress in her care she said it was her seamstress & I believe she is responsible for the work. I did pay her another $49cash for the "alteration". She has never apologized or try to resolve the issue, instead told me to contact the lady & I have been inconvenienced driving around trying to do her work. Very unprofessional.

she has destroyed the dress without even attempting to make it work for me. I don't expect to get the full amount back but I don't think its fair that she has made all of that money from me & does not suffer any consequences. How many people is she going to do this to? I am not rich & I paid her cash $328.00 for a dress. I now have contacted another seamstress & will see if anything can be done. However prom is in 3 days not much time to try to fix her mess. And ag
