Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The business is totally misrepresenting the facts Their subcontractor did not use sealant We were there and we saw no sealant Regardless, the person who poured the leveling materials should have noticed the loss of the materials How could he not have noticed the loss of materials enough to spill down and cover the railings of floors? The spillage was not solely from the drain, but from about a three to four feet of crack The business admits that they attempted to clean the runoff materials This is exactly what caused the majority of the damages If they thought they were not liable, they should have left the cleaning alone The business sent two unskilled employees, who had no experience in this field, with a bucket of water and razor blades to remove the runoff materials Please have the business provide support for what qualifications their two employees in question, [redacted] & ***, had in this field We have recorded conversations from three different employees of the Footprint Floors who agreed to take care of the damages by cleaning the runoff materials At no time did any one them advise us that they were not liable, or that they were doing the clean up as a gesture of "Good Faith", as the business claims Because of the business' incompetency and "Bad Faith" in taking care of the damages they caused, we spent many days dealing with different people to resolve this issue The costs to take care of the damages are in excess of $5,so far We do not owe the business any money Sincerely, [redacted]

I have called and left two messages with Ashleigh at the Revdex.com, but have not yet heard backWe have researched the name *** ***, and have never done work for anyone by that name
We also are not installers for Lowe's, nor have we ever
beenLowe's is a store that some of our customers may occasionally buy product from, then the customer may call us directly to get a bid on install only, and we certainly will work with them that way, but Lowe's does not have a realationship or contract with us for us to install any product that they sellWe are actually competitors
We are a medium size hardwood flooring company, we typically order wood for our customers, then install it for them onsightI believe that *** has our name confused with some other installation company, or maybe a subcontractor that has a name similarbut it's not Footprints Floors
Please let me know what you find out about this, as we certainly don't want to have this impact our reputation, we value what people say about the work and character of Footprints Floors
Thank You

Dear K ***
We are very sorry to hear about your concerns with the delivery of our flyer to your homeWe do not distribute our own flyers, but rather pay a delivery company, Oroz and Coto deliver them for usIn case you did not already
know this, in the State of Colorado a "No Solicitation" sign only refers to the ringing of a doorbell, the delivery of flyers is not connected to "No Soliciting" in this state, and some of the mis-communication stems from thisWe do submit addresses when we're given them to Oroz and Co, and ask them to skip those houses on future flyer delivery dates, and would be happy to do that for you! All you need to do to be added to this list is either call us, or submit a inquiry through our website, giving us your address, and we'll be happy to forward that on

We talked to the *** the day the complaint came through - *** set up an appointment to go back out and fix the issue
Thank you!

In response to your recent complaint, we would like to remind you that we are working closely with all the involved insurance companies to resolve this unfortunate circumstance.  We believe that we did not act negligently in our practice. We also recognize that the cause of this event was the...

undisclosed (hidden), and improperly sealed drain you have on your converted patio, where our crew was working. This undisclosed hole is what caused the leak of the leveling cement.  We understand that you are frustrated with this unforeseen accident. We sincerely hope to have this resolved quickly.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11415974, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear [redacted] - We would like to respond to your recent rejection of our complaint response.  Your Comment: "The business failed to use proper sealant around all the corners, as it is the industry's standard, before pouring the leveling materials. Had they done that, there would not have been any leakage damaging 14 floors."Our Response: Our skilled installers did in fact use sealant on the edges. We only employ licensed and insured installers and are continuously reviewing industry standards and attending training sessions, to stay the most current on all processes.Your Comment: "The business should have detected the leak right away instead of keep pouring more leveling materials. They used 50% more leveling materials that what we were quoted. They used unskilled labor, which is why the leak was not detected right away! Our Response: We did use more leveler than quoted, which is not that unusual. We needed more leveler in the living room as well as the patio area. We do only hired skilled and trained professionals. Since the drain had been covered up prior to our work, we were not aware that there would be any dripping issues until the incident occurred. Your  Comment: "The business feels that they are not responsible for leak, then why did they attempt to clean up the overrun? Most of the damages were caused by the business attempting to clean the run off materials from the railing by using unqualified people and wrong tools."Our Response: We did try to clean up the materials that dripped to the lower patios as a good faith effort. This does not mean that we claim complete responsibility for the incident. The rails need to be cleaned professionally and painted due to the materials that spilled on them. This is deemed by the insurance company to be necessary irregardless of the few scratches our installers caused by attempting to clean the spilled materials. We did turn the entire incident over to the insurance company that explained to us that since the damage caused to the rails was caused by the materials spilling through the undisclosed drain - that the party responsible for the spill should cover the repair costs. Therefore, since the drain was undisclosed and covered with another leveling type material prior to our work beginning that we are not in fact responsible nor acting negligibly for the unknown cause to the incident. Our insurance offered the responsible party, [redacted], the sum of $2400.00 which he has chosen to decline.  [redacted] has also yet to pay for the balance of the work completed of $2700.00.We hope that you find these responses to your comments sufficient in answering your questions and addressing the issue at hand. Thank you,Footprints Floors

We are very sorry to hear about your concerns with the delivery of our flyer to your home. We do not distribute our own flyers, but rather pay a delivery company, [redacted] and [redacted] to deliver them for us. In the State of Colorado a "No Solicitation"...

sign only refers to the ringing of a doorbell, the delivery of flyers is not connected to "No Soliciting", and we do continue to confirm that with local authorities to be sure. We do submit addresses when we're given them to [redacted] and [redacted] and that is the way the police/sherrifs offices ask us to follow up on the "no soliciting" questions we receive. We then ask them to skip those houses on future flyer delivery dates, and would be happy to do that for you! (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have called your business twice and gave my address the first time I called. To no avail. Now I have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com with my address as well. Please, as if it wasn't obvious, add my address to your "no flyer" "no advertising" "no door hangers" " no business cards" lists! I will continue to file new complaints with each new violation. So please, for my peace of mind, and your business' reputation, STOP!

[redacted],
I have contacted [redacted] and company again this morning, discussing with them the map we submit, and the necessity for them to skip those houses that we've requested they skip while delivering flyers. The manager was very receptive, and I believe that there will be more diligence on their part in honoring your request to no longer receive flyers from Footprints Floors on your property.
Please accept our sincere apology, our intent is certainly not to offend. I can see your address listed above, and have again added it to the list we send on, so it should be very apparent to them what your wishes are.
Again, we are sorry, and have every reason to believe that you will no longer see our flyers at your home.
Thank you.
