For Eyes refuses to give a $ cash refund to me for botching up the order on one pair of glasses, and breaking the frames on a second pair in their possession which they refused to fix The first pair of glasses arrived at their store with black lenses, which I never ordered They sent them back to their lab A few days later, the second pair of glasses arrived at their store with broken frame and these glasses are totally ruined by their negligence I never received the first pair, and I certainly can't use the broken pair Their manager, Matthew [redacted] , hangs up when you try to reach him by phone He first lied in saying that their corporate office would issue me a refund by mail, which it never did Now he lies about me receiving the first pair of glasses, I never had them, because they were sent back to the lab by their clerk, who quite conveniently, does not work at this store anymore These people are dishonest, and a bad business risk to any customer like

My husband and I fell in love with the property when we stumbled upon what was formally the StoneFort Inn in April of 2015, which happened to be the weekend we got engaged We decided we would love to share this special and meaningful space with the people that meant the most to us when celebrating our wedding in February of Little did we know what a nightmare this would turn into and how much we would regret holding any event, much less such a personal one, at this hotel (now known as the Dwell Hotel) It was the StoneFort Inn when we booked the entire room hotel and the TerraMae restaurant for our special night earlier this year Ownership had changed hands from the time we booked our event to the night it was held It was communicated with us that we would actually be holding our reception on the last night that the hotel and restaurant would be open prior to closing down for renovations Everything was being sold the following day which meant people were in and out of the hotel going through guest rooms and the restaurant the day of our reception It is hard to even begin to try and write all the problems we had, but they began from the moment we reserved the entire space Guests were overcharged for their rooms, whoever was responsible for keeping up with transactions wasn't doing their job and the hotel didn't even have record of some payments made that our guests did via receipts sent from the hotel! Depending on who we talked to you would get different answers We even had guests choose not to stay here because of the miscommunications After speaking with the owner we were hopeful things would change, as the majority of guest reservations were messed up That actually did not change anything, and made the scenario even more frustrating When guests arrived for our reception names were wrong, guests who thought they had a room (as they had already been charged for it) didn't, and guest who had already paid were being asked to pay again We will NEVER go to this hotel again, and would NEVER recommend anyone stay here much less try to plan an event here The TerraMae restaurant was much less of a hassle and the food and service were great the night of our receptionWe can only hope some things have changed, but would like to caution anyone who is interested in holding an event here or even trying to book more than one room Disgusted is putting it lightly

My husband and I fell in love with the property when we stumbled upon what was formally the StoneFort Inn in April of 2015, which happened to be the weekend we got engaged. We decided we would love to share this special and meaningful space with the people that meant the most to us when celebrating our wedding in February of 2016. Little did we know what a nightmare this would turn into and how much we would regret holding any event, much less such a personal one, at this hotel (now known as the Dwell Hotel). It was the StoneFort Inn when we booked the entire 16 room hotel and the TerraMae restaurant for our special night earlier this year. Ownership had changed hands from the time we booked our event to the night it was held. It was communicated with us that we would actually be holding our reception on the last night that the hotel and restaurant would be open prior to closing down for renovations. Everything was being sold the following day which meant people were in and out of the hotel going through guest rooms and the restaurant the day of our reception. It is hard to even begin to try and write all the problems we had, but they began from the moment we reserved the entire space. Guests were overcharged for their rooms, whoever was responsible for keeping up with transactions wasn't doing their job and the hotel didn't even have record of some payments made that our guests did via receipts sent from the hotel! Depending on who we talked to you would get different answers. We even had guests choose not to stay here because of the miscommunications. After speaking with the owner we were hopeful things would change, as the majority of guest reservations were messed up. That actually did not change anything, and made the scenario even more frustrating. When guests arrived for our reception names were wrong, guests who thought they had a room (as they had already been charged for it) didn't, and guest who had already paid were being asked to pay again. We will NEVER go to this hotel again, and would NEVER recommend anyone stay here much less try to plan an event here. The TerraMae restaurant was much less of a hassle and the food and service were great the night of our reception. We can only hope some things have changed, but would like to caution anyone who is interested in holding an event here or even trying to book more than one room. Disgusted is putting it lightly.

Review: I obtained a prescription for eye glasses from a private doctor on or about 8/8/13. I had the prescription filled at For Eyes on 10/6/13. I waited to ensure I had the funds in my account due to other expenses on my HSA account. The cost was $417.99. I received the glasses in about a week. The result was not good & I noticed it immediately. I gave it a little time because it was a new prescription. I went back to For Eyes in about a week & informed them the glasses were not made properly. Table tops & counter tops were not level and the peripheral vision was blurred on the right. They tried to adjust the glasses up & down on my face to explain away the problem. I told them it didn't help. They advised I would have to go back to my doctor for a prescription adjustment. I went back to my doctor. I was required to pay for a second eye exam & the doctor confirmed the original prescription was correct. She put it in writing & instructed For Eyes to remake my glasses. I took her instructions back to For Eyes. They sent the glasses to be remade. I received the new glasses & they are still bad. I gave it a week & went back to For Eyes. They age me the same treatment; moving the glasses up & down on my face. Again I informed them table tops are not level & plates are not round. The For Eyes employee asked me what I wanted corrected. I am not an expert & I don't know what is required to fix the problem. But the galsses are not made properly. The result is; I have paid for 2 eye exams, paid $417.99 for a pare of glasses that are distorting my vision, I have spent time running back trying to resolve the problem. I can't use them for cooking & baking because I can't level & measure properly. Everyday life is problematic because of the visual distortion with my glasses. Yet For Eyes claims the glasses are fine.Desired Settlement: For Eyes has failed to produce adaquate eye glasses based on my written prescription & has not been able to correct or acknowlege their mistate. They have cost me time & money trying to get the problem corrected. I have paid in good faith $417.99 for galsses that are not acceptable. I would like a full reund to my credit card for my HSA account.
