*** *** has been contacted many times about the refund process, payment dates and delaysMost recently I sent out an email to all participants awaiting refunds, with details on the delay, sale of my company, and expected repayment datesEvery single participant from this retreat is scheduled
to be refunded, beginning the week of January 4th (see attachment)However, with this complaint and her intention to sue -- I have now removed her from the list and will wait to hear from her attorneyI myself am considering a lawsuit for the reasons below.
While I've kept participants in the loop through this entire process via email as a group (in addition to providing my phone number, which she never used), I stopped responding to *** direct emails which grew to be aggressive, and abusiveI have had several individuals report her as being incredibly slanderous when she speaks of my name (personally and professionally) and it was in my best interests to limit contact with herHowever, I have NEVER kept her off the main email list and she has been sent every single update.
I am completely fine with a Revdex.com report stating that she didn't receive a refund because this is still pending, but to state that she's had no communication is completely falseI have done everything in my power as a business owner to right this situation, and while it's taken more time than expected -- I've openly and honestly communicated through the entire process
Due to the reports of slander, I believe she is taking every action possible to hurt my company, and this is something that I will no longer acceptI consider the inaccuracy of her complaint to be libelous, and I don't take it lightly

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I will first slightly amend my first complaint.  I think it was misunderstood that when I said “with absolutely no communication” that I meant throughout this entire ordeal.  I apologize for that.  I meant that the promised repayment date of December 1st had passed with no communication as to why (see below that I did not receive any e-mail, including the promised Repayment Contract, from Jennifer between November 12th and December 2nd).I waited until December 1st to see if I would receive my refund as promised and contacted Revdex.com to file my complaint on December 2nd (BEFORE I received Jennifer’s e-mail about selling her company and setting the new repayment date for January 8th).  In past e-mails (attached and documented below) Jennifer had mentioned possible delayed repayments due to chargebacks as well as the possibility of needing to file for bankruptcy.  After not hearing from her on December 1st, I felt I had no choice but to contact someone like the Revdex.com in [redacted]s of finding someone to mediate a resolution.  I have included a complete summary of our communication below for complete transparency including complete text from e-mails I sent (I have all e-mails also in document form but could not attach that many documents. I have them if needed). My desire here is to get my money back and be done with this fiasco. I don’t feel that any of my communications have been slanderous or derisive towards Jenn or her business. I attached all of our communication regarding the matter for review including the summary below of all communication since I signed up for the retreat. I simply want a refund, as promised in the provided documentation, like any other consumer would when a promised product fails to be delivered. If this needs to become a legal matter, so be it but, I would much rather settle this matter without going that avenue.
Sincerely,[redacted]

October 2, 2015, 3:19 pm: Receive e-mail from Jennifer canceling retreat. Promises every person including those who canceled a full refund. Notes original drop outs (noted in July notation above) plus more drop outs over August, September and beginning of October as reason.  Promises e-mail by Friday, Oct 9 "with details on when/how refunds will be processes."  Notes that any hostile interactions will be sent to her lawyer. Oct 2, 2015: I sent a couple questions and received quick responses.  (Including for transparency.) *We can't keep our current reservation? Even just the one room for the 3 of us? *What was our per night rate with the group discount?October 9, 2015 6:00pm: I e-mail Jennifer: "Will there be an email update today?"October 9, 2015 6:17pm: Receive reply saying she's working on it and that we'll have it by midnight.October 9, 2015 10:35pm: Receive e-mail from Jennifer saying she's still negotiating vendor refunds and that "it's certain at this point that 40%+ will come from FTG revenue. If you can give me through Monday, I'll be re-launching my personal training and web design services and 12 hours of putting it out to the Universe should give me the perfect gauge on where I'm at. Refunds are happening!" Promises e-mail by Tuesday, 10/13.Oct 11, 2015: I reply: "Will be waiting for a more detailed/specific update on Tuesday.  -[redacted]"Oct 13, 2015: Receive e-mail from Jennifer with a link to fill out a refund request form.Oct 13, 2015: Sent "Done" in reply after I filled it out.Oct 15, 2015: I e-mail Jenn (and cc: [redacted] and Chelsea): "Can I get an ETA on the next update as well as when we can expect to have this resolved? This is something my husband and I (as well as [redacted] and *their* husbands) would like resolved ASAP."October 18, 2015: After no response I reply "bump" to bump the e-mail to the top of her inbox in case it had been overlooked or lost in the shuffle.October 19, 2015: Receive my first hostile e-mail from Jennifer in response to my request for an update: "I'm working on it as fast as I can, but I am absolutely unwilling to make a "guesstimate" and be wrong. Also, I don't know what "bump" means, but I'm working on everything as quickly as possible. When I have an update, I will send it. If something is incomplete there is a reason, and when it can be completed -- it will be. I have not forgotten, including your book. I'm starting to feel bullied by you, so anything that doesn't positively contribute to the end result, please stop. You have a right to be informed, but I have no new information (and receive complaints when email is in excess). You have a right to your feelings, including anger -- but don't forget that I have feelings too. This is a major event to organize, with several moving parts that even I have to wait for. I'm still waiting for participant feedback (which reminders were sent on Friday). There will be a priority list in terms of who receives refunds first, and those who were in position to attend are at the top of that list. That's all I can say at this point, until I have the final numbers and can sit down with an accountant." [I do not reply]October 21, 2015: Receive e-mail from Jennifer asking everyone to make sure they filled out the request form/refund survey by Friday, 10/23. Says she will work Mon-Wed (10/26-10/28) "getting your refund dates finalized. For those of you who are wondering, YES -- your refunds will be prioritized in a fair + appropriate manner. Those of you who had your bags packed, obviously you are at the top of my list. Thank you for your patience. The next step will require individual emails to each participant with a refund date notification. You will receive your personal email no later than next Friday [10/30] @ 7P PST."[I do not reply] October 28, 2015: E-mail from Jenn promising "refund initiation" e-mail by 10/29 or 10/30 with our refund date + when/where to expect our repayment contract. Notes: Over the last few weeks I've allowed anyone to vent, scream, call me names, trash me on social media and threaten me with legal action + the destruction of my company. I've allowed this because I felt that you deserved to work through your emotions, and while I don't feel I'm directly responsible for the retreat being cancelled (your anger is misplaced) -- I know that I am 100% responsible for the solution. I wanted you to have an outlet for your emotions, in the [redacted]s that it would help you to heal. For some, it did just that. We've established great relationships out of a not-so-great situation. For others, it only fueled the fire to be more disrespectful. News flash: That era is officially over. You're getting a refund. The only person not getting a refund on their retreat investment is ME, which is why I can't instantly produce thousands of dollars. Abusing me will not expedite the process, so take a breath and realize -- I'm on YOUR SIDE. Working for you, as quickly as possible, with everything I have to fix this.”[I do not reply]October 30, 2015: Receive e-mail from "[email protected]" promising:*Refund Date (at latest, earlier delivery if possible): DECEMBER 1, 2015*Refund Method: PAYPAL*Refund Contract: EMAILED on November 5thAsks for me to respond with subject line of ACCEPTED or DECLINED.  Notes that if more people apply for chargebacks from their credit cards that our refund dates may shift or that she will need to file for bankruptcy.  October 30, 2015: I respond, "ACCEPTED"November 4th, 2015: Receive e-mail from Jennifer noting that she is waiting on approval of repayment contracts by her lawyer and that "I am simply waiting on the approval of the repayment contracts, as I wanted to make sure everything was on the up and up. This will not push back your payment dates. As soon as they land in my inbox, I'll immediately customize + send to you. As we approach the weekend (and knowing that lawyers do NOT work on the weekends!) I worry that they might end up landing as late as Monday [11/9]. Again, as soon as I have them -- I'll stop any task in progress and get them out to you."November 9, 2015: I respond to above e-mail: "Hi, will I be getting a payback contract today?"November 9, 2015: Send again with "Adding your other e-mail just in case" (as she'd noted e-mail issues with the retreats@fortheglow e-mail.November 12, 2015: After no response, I write to Jenn with subject "Update Please" and write: I'm getting a little worried that I haven't heard anything from you since last week. Can I please get an update? Am I still on track to get my refund on December 1st?"November 12, 2015: Receive: "I'm sorry -- I'm working 80+ hours a week right now, so I am never at my desk. I just sent an email with an update -- nothing has changed in terms of repayment dates, only delayed on getting the contracts to you.   J"November 12, 2015: Receive: "Update: Your contract is coming. If you haven't received yours yet, it is on the way...as soon as humanly possible. I didn't receive them until Tuesday afternoon and recently accepted a full-time job + part-time graveyard job, so my office hours are basically nonexistent. I have part of today + tomorrow for desk time -- and I'm currently working on them. The only thing delayed is your contract. There is no delay or cancellation of your repayment date. I can't emphasize that enough.  Working fast as possible-  J"[I do not reply][Never receive repayment contract]November 30, 2015: I e-mailed a Seattle For The Glow member who I knew was also waiting for a refund trying to find a connection to Seattle who may have heard from Jennifer and knew what was going on as we had heard nothing since November 12th and my refund was meant to come the next day.“Hey [redacted] – I just remembered that I had your e-mail address.  I [redacted] you and the other girls were still able to have a great Maui trip despite Jenn canceling the retreat.  We still had a great time, albeit much more expensive than originally planned. My girlfriends and I were wondering if you all were, like us, still waiting on payback contracts and refunds of if you’d already gone the “chargeback” route.  My refund is supposed to come today but I’m not holding my breath...we’ll see though.Just wanted to reach out to you girls as the 3 of us are not in contact with any of the others in this position and we’re all down in SoCal and don’t receive hardly any communication from Jenn. I’m also at www.facebook.com/[redacted] if you’d like to connect that way.I [redacted] you had a great Thanksgiving.”December 1, 2015 (promised repayment date): I write to Jenn: “Will I be receiving my refund today?”[Do not receive any response/communication on December 1st]December 2nd 2:00pm after still not hearing from Jenn, I decide to file the complaint with Revdex.com which was as follows:I purchased a retreat to Maui through For The Glow in February 2015. The purchase price was $1200. Just a few days before the trip was meant to happen, Jennifer Jordan (CEO) canceled the retreat, promising us refunds. It is 2 months later and my promised refund date of December 1st has passed with absolutely no communication from Jennifer.Desired Settlement: RefundI would like my refund immediately. I will be contacting a lawyer to receive interest paid on this amount as well if I do not receive it.December 2nd, 2015 3:10pm:  I received an e-mail from Jennifer stating that she’d sold her business in order to be able to repay all of her clients back at the same time.  Promises refund by January 8th as well as new contracts.December 7, 2015: I receive:Hi [redacted], I just received your Revdex.com notice and intent to sue. I’m working as fast as I can, and sold my company – my heart and my soul – in order to rectify this situation. I’m surprised at your tone, aggression, and unwillingness to accept the extended offer that is less than a month away. A lawsuit will take longer and cost far more for everyone. The stress of this has taken a serious toll on my health, and to think of one more element and more source of pressure – it is almost too much to handle. I’m human, just like you. And if you could consider for one second what it must be like to be in my shoes, that would be appreciated. I emailed EVERYONE last week to express that I could not repay the refunds based on revenue alone, and that I needed to wait for the sale to be completed in order to repay in one sweep – which would’ve happened January 4th-8th. Since you have chosen to report to the Revdex.com and file a lawsuit, I will be removing you from this list (including from the emails going out tonight with a repayment notice) and waiting to hear from your lawyer. JJDecember 7, 2015: I respond:“Before even reading your email: I sent that complaint to Revdex.com before you sent me the email about selling and AFTER the December 1st deadline. How was I to know when I'd hear from you again? I should have heard from you before the 1st. I am not suing. Do not remove me from the payback list please. We are in a really tough spot and I planned on using that money on the 1st for Christmas for my kids. I'm not trying to guilt you I'm just explaining why I got so mad when I didn't hear from you on the first. Can we please just go ahead with payback on the 4th (or whatever the date was) and move on from this? After payback I will remove my post on Revdex.com - they said I can write in when it's resolved.”December 8, 2015: I receive her response on Revdex.com.
