 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The work was completed at the end of last summer which if I can do the math properly is less than one year not two years.  The truth is that my father in law, [redacted], was the main care taker of the pool and did unfortunately and unexpectedly pass away at the end of April this year.  [redacted] did have the pool company out various times to look at the work they provided and was not happy with it.  Due to him being more sick then we knew he just covered the pool and said we will deal with it and forchetti pools when we open it.  Unfortunately he was not around to open the pool and the stress caused by this issue did not help him from a health stand point.  I asked the person on the phone to please provide me with a copy of the contract so I could see officially my father in laws signature  and he told me it was locked away in archives and could not be had.  I can provide a copy of a death certificate if need be.  The person on the phone did offer to have a technician out at a rate of $299 to fix the issue.  The hanging liner is the least of our worries.  The overall workmanship of the completed job is fair at best.  There are multiple wrinkles in the deep end and low end.  How they finished off the liner around the steps is unacceptable.  If they used our pool of an example of their workmanship nobody would use them.  Honestly I have not been able to look back at my in-laws bank account but the amount of money spent might be double of what other pool companies are charging.  I also believe they installed some screws around the steps which were expensive because they were stainless but now we have huge rust spots on the coping.  My request was for the gentleman on the phone to just come out and look at the pool and tell me the work was satisfactory.  The issue of a high water table has never been brought to my attention.  With the previous liner we never had issues with rippling or bubbles in the liner.
Regards,
[redacted]

This person called me and claimed to be a relative of the homeowner that we contracted 2 years ago . At that time the Liner was Installed satisfactorily and would have been signed (by the contracted owner) and signed off that they were satisfied and final payment given. When we...

installed the liner it was clipped in everywhere. The "contracted"customer never complained about any issue. It is common for the liner to Pop out of the track during sub zereo Winter months especially if this Pool is subject to High Water table, which is what this sounds like from the description given by unknown person.
This unknown person was not present at original installation and does not have a contract with us which indicates in the terms that the only warrantee was thru the Manufacturer against defects for the "original owner". This line pop out is not a defect liner nor a workmanship issue.
This story given to me sounded suspicious when this unknown person first stated that they were the "Caretaker" of the Pool and when I told them that the Homeowner that I cotracted with must call me, they changed the story to the Homeowner Passing away.
I told this unknown person that they did not have a contract with our company and that all work was Completed satisfactory and signed off by the Customer we  contracted with 2 years ago.Even thou we are booked 3 weeks I offered to come immediatly and inspect the problem for our standard rate of $295.00 and would let that amount apply towards the repair. Base on the description of the liner popping out only inches I assurred them that that inspection fee should probly cover this simple repair.
I ask that the Revdex.com  remove this complaint because we have no cotract with this unknown person and for all we know he could be the new homeowner that bought the home from our original Contracted Customer. In addition, Even thou this pesrson has no cotract with us, the terms of our cotract would not cover against this type of repair and a service call charge would be needed per our contract any way,
Please call me if I can be of further help. Craig

Review: Forchetti pools was hired to replace and repair my in laws vinyl pool liner. Unfortunately the person who took care of the pool and hired Forchetti pools has unexpectedely passed away. He expressed to us prior to his passing that there were some issues with installation of the pool liner that he was unhappy about. I then assumed the role of taking care of the pool and removed the cover to find an issue with the liner. It has released from the clip on the one side and the liner itself had wrinkles in it. Also where the liner meets the steps the workmanship is terrible at best. The liner looks like it was installed by amateurs, unfortunately the amount the was spent on the installation of the liner was at amateur prices. Unfortunately when I called to see if someone could come out and fix the issue I was told it would be $295 dollars. When I told the person on the phone I thought this was unacceptable and the workmanship was not up to par, they become frustrated and very defensive. I just wanted them to take a look at the pool and tell me if this is workmanship that they were proud of, he refused and hung up on me. He also stated that somebody had to sign off on the agreement stating the job was completed successfully. Unfortunately a copy of this contract is not in our possession and when I asked for a copy of it he stated that it was not possible. Their technician or so called pool expert who worked on the pool also cracked the top step of the pool during installation, but we have know way of proving that.Desired Settlement: I tried to offer them the opportunity to fix the problem, but he refused and said we would be responsible for a $295 service fee to come out and look at it. I fully believe the workmanship is so bad that we deserve a refund and for them to fix the current issue. I actually do not trust them to fix the problem based on their previous workmanship. In a perfect world I would take a refund and apply that to the bill I will have to pay the next company to fix it properly.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Forchetti's installation contractor installed a French drain when one

already existed. I was a new homeowner and they took advantage of

my ignorance. Contractor lied about needing a French drain while they

knew one already existed. They damaged the vermiculite in original pool

and damaged concrete surrounding the poolDesired Settlement: I was charged $1250 for the installation of the drain, which is useless.

They cut a hole in the bottom of pool and ran a hose to the bottom of

the surrounding concrete and punched a hole in surrounding concrete.

The liner was not installed properly and has wrinkles, however business

does not guarantee a wrinkle free installation. I am seeking $1250 in damages

for the installation of the useless French drain when it was not required.

I am also seeking damages of $250 for the repair of a 3'x3' section of concrete.

Review: I called Al Forcheti to find a leak in my pool. During my conversation with the owner Al, he quoted me a price of $495 to do the initial diagnostic testing. He also informed me that if any repairs were needed the $495 would be applied towards those repairs. The owner sent his technician George out to pressure test the lines and I don't know what else he did. He said he couldn't find the leak and that they would need to come back out with additional equipment to investigate further. That additional testing would cost me another $495 but the owner Al again reassured me that I could apply the total of $990 towards the repairs. When Al's technician George came back with the additional equipment they told my wife that they found the leak and fixed it but it would cost me an additional $300.00 aside from the $990.00 I had already paid. My wife paid him because I was at work. when I called Al and questioned him about the additional $300 upcharge, he told me that I misunderstood him and that the $990 would only be applied to any "plumbing" repairs. I insisted with al that is not what he told me. He told me that he would refund me my $300.00. In the meantime, the repairs that he performed did not fix the leak. I had to hire another company who came out and quickly found the leak and only charged me less than $300.00 for the repair.

Today on 8/7/14 I went on the all pools and spa website and found the following:

"Leak Detection Diagnoses

All diagnoses fees - all troubleshooting - all inspection fees - will apply toward any worked performed.

* $295 will go toward the leak repair"

You can clarly see that I was overcharged for both the test and the repair.

Since I had to go to another company because non of the work that he did resolved my leak, I feel that I am entitled to my entire $1290.00 backDesired Settlement: Refund me the money that you stole from me since you didn't perform the service and you up charged my wife taking advantage of her being pregnant.

Review: ** who claims he is the boss, told me when they came for the 18ft above ground pool inspection that was damaged during Sandy, that I would give them $422 and change and it would go towards the liner replacement. All the men did was take a few pictures, swish the pool pole around in the debris and leave. They were at my home for 12 minutes. Even though they now go by [redacted] and service or similar, ** had me make the check out to [redacted]. My insurance is now telling me that they can't see the hole or holes and therefore not covering it. I told ** today and he said he just had a recent customer put his own hole in the pool and the insurance covered it. I said no and told him that $3900 was ridiculous. He said it would be $1495. I said you told me you'll would apply the $422 to the repair and he said ok now it is $1995. Wow. He used personal attacks against me because I was not happy. ** was so sweet until I called him on his $422. For nothing. I told him I wanted to speak to the owner who I made the check to and he said that will never happen. He hung up on me several times and so did Pat the woman. I want my money back. He did nothing. If he wants to charge me a $75 service call that is all he can claim.Desired Settlement: Apology, and my money back. They are scam artists and unless he does the right thing, I will take him to small claims court and tell the world my story forever. I have a recording of what he said to me. He is shameless.
