Online and telephone customer service are horrible I placed an order on a Sunday and received notification on Monday that the item was on back order with an anticipated in stock date of over a month out I called to check on the item several times during the week Since it was still on back order at the end of the week, I went to my LBS and got what I needed I called that same afternoon to cancel the original order The representative said she cancelled the other Four hours later, I received an email notification that the item had shipped I called to inquire and they told me that it had already shipped when I called to cancel the order I got the run-around from clueless representatives and finally ended up with a supervisor who told me that they will have to wait for UPS to re-route the package back to them before they can refund me All of their customer service is in West Virginia, which is probably why everything is about half-*** backwards and nobody knows anything

My experience with Ford Motor Credit has been absolutely dismal. I've had better customer service experiences dealing with the IRS and government agencies over the years.

After multiple phone calls, a certified return receipt letter, email, website contact form submission, a fax, and a mailed USPS letter - I have yet to resolve my outstanding issue over a period of 5 months.

Ford Motor Credit's Credit Dispute Department refuses to talk to me on the phone despite my repeated requests, but rather hides behind mailed letters that do not satisfactorily address my specific questions.

My questions arise from a loan that was originated in May 2014 and a problem with my ACH Auto Debit Enrollment via the website in July 2014. I was hit with a 30-day late payment on my credit report and FMC will not accept any responsibility, but rather continues to dismiss my question and place the blame fully with me. As a result, my credit scores have suffered unnecessarily. And my request to have the 30-day-late status removed has not been honored.

Their lack of willingness to talk with a paying customer and come to an amicable resolution is extremely frustrating.

I'm a father of with seven children coming of driving age and will be financing more than my fair share of vehicles in the next 10-15 years, but at this rate - I will expressly avoid FMC in any future auto financing.
