Review: The spin cycle on my Maytag washing machine stopped working properly. I called the number listed on the Internet that advertised same day service. I asked the individual if they were a certified Maytag technician. He said yes. I asked if they were approved by the Revdex.com he said yes as well. They explained the fee was $49.00 and if I used them for the repair the fee would be applied to the repair costs. The technician promptly arrived and diagnosed the problem as the transmission being broken. He said it would be too costly to repair and I should just buy a new machine. He said cash or check no credit cards. I paid cash. I should have been suspicious. I found my warranty after he left and discovered that the transmission is covered for ten years so I was not out of warranty. I was surprised that he did not know this since the company represented that they were a Maytag authorized repair service. I called Maytag and they informed me that Formost was not one of their authorized providers. They also stated that the transmission is covered for ten years and the complete repair would cost me $129.00. I do not need a new machine.

I called Foremost back and before identifying myself I asked if they were Maytag certified and authorized repair service he said yes. I then identified myself and informed him that I had been told to buy a new machine. He responded by saying if I got the part from Maytag they would install it but they could not get the part from Maytag. He had previously represented that the $49.00 would be applied to the actual repair. It was clear to me that I had been deceived they are not an authorized Maytag repair place. I asked for a refund and the guy said that this was a service charge and refused to refund the money. He stated that he has to pay $25.00 for internet calls and for his gas. I responded that I had been deceived since the machine was repairable the $50.00 should be applied to the repair and since he can't repair it he should give me back my money. He refused.Desired Settlement: I would like an immediate refund of my $50.00
