Foremost Plumbing & HVAC Reviews (8)

A plumbing technician from Foremost Plumbing and Heating (Invoice # ***) was dispatched to my home on May to repair a broken quick connect under my kitchen sinkPrior to the technician's arrival, I researched the issue, and discovered the leak under my sink was likely due to a broken quick connect attached to the facet hoseUpon the technician's arrival, I told him what I believed to be the cause of my water leakThe technician quickly glanced under the sink at the quick connect, and immediately stated he needed to step outside to call *** *** *** (***), and his supervisor to determine whether or not the repair would be covered under my home warrantyAfter approximately five minutes, the technician came back on the inside of my home, and explained the quick connect could not be repaired, because the water line was unique to the sinkHe subsequently offered to replace my old facet with a new (basic) one for the cost of $I refused, and immediately called *

Good Day,What the customer is not informing you is that she is with [redacted] Warranty and under HER POLICY SHE SIGNED UP WITH THEM THEY DENIED HER CLAIM NOT US  . [redacted] ( DENIED AUTHO NUMBER) Before any work begins in any home technicians are to call into [redacted]...

[redacted] report what is broken and they tell technicians what to do .  Quick connects only break if someone has hit up against it  or it was damaged when installed by the  original installer. Her complaint is with [redacted] or the original company . Thank you

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:They did not have an appointment. It was not mutually agreed upon..This company doesn't have good business practices. I don't appreciate that they are lying about having an appointment. The plumber even came by and said I was in the neighborhood and thought I should stop by.
Regards,
[redacted]

Hello,We absolutely had an appointment with the customer. We do not just drive by customers homes to see if they are home that is not cost affective for any company. Thank you

[redacted] initiated an emergency dispatch thru [redacted] saying a leak is causing damages to there home on Friday 8/21/15. [redacted] called our office and asked if our company could service this emergency we said yes and it would be for Saturday. [redacted] put us on hold spoke with customer and then said that is...

fine and sent over the work order. Our office also did a follow up call Friday confirming when we would be out. On the voicemail we left for customer we stated if for any reason you are not able to make this appointment call us right back . No return calls. Saturday we called 20 min prior ( tech called and our main office called customer stated we are in route to your home. Again no call from customer stating they did not want us out. Tech arrived customer opened door said come back Monday we now have plans for the day? We called into [redacted] to document what just occurred. Do to customer missing there appointment there is a $75.00 return trip fee for missed appointment. Monday we received call from [redacted] to call customer to reschedule the missed appointment. We called customer and tried to reschedule and again told him he will owe the $75.00 return fee for missed appointment, that is when he started yelling saying no you will come at his convenience and he made plans for Saturday. Again customer opened a EMERGENCY WORK ORDER DO TO CAUSING DAMAGES IN HIS HOME. We did service the customer as requested and he is the one who told our tech to leave on Saturday to come back on Monday.

Good Morning,[redacted] was told by [redacted] what they were not paying for under his contract with them. [redacted] agreed to pay the non converted items ( [redacted] has a recording of this) he also called our office and confirmed what he owed and we ordered heater in. No heaters are...

ordered in until customer has agreed upon the fees. We installed heater & [redacted] paid techs with a check. Once heater passed county inspections [redacted] stopped payment. ( FRAUD IS WHAT HE DID) (Definition of fraud deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain) We called [redacted] about the bad check and his response was I will pay you what I think your techs are worth? We responded that will not work. We then sent a certified letter to [redacted] stating to make good on the bad check or we will be going to court.  We got a email from him now making accusations that one of the techs Chris possibly stole something ? We said if that was the case why did you not call the police . We also told him to contact Robert ( owner of Foremost)  on his personal cell on how he plans on moving forward. [redacted] contacted Robert and [redacted] made verbal threats about technician Chris. We DO NOT TOLERATE VERBAL THREATS PERIOD . At this point we will be moving forward and we will see [redacted] in court. Thank you.

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response. I documented my own repair, and have pictures to prove how simple it was for me to repair the plastic quick connect to the facet hose. There was NO negligence on my part as the Foremost Plumbing technician reported. The technician explained that my kitchen sink could not be repaired unless I replaced the entire sink, because the water line was unique to the sink. This statement was an untruth, because there was nothing wrong with the water line, or the facet hose. I repaired my sink by simply replacing the plastic quick connect. It is my belief the technician did not act in good faith, and purposely set out to sell me a new kitchen sink plus repair cost to earn additional money.  Regards, [redacted]

Review: Foremost Plumbing charged me $450.00 based on a scope of work that included fixing a flange for my basement toilet. They based their price from another plumbing company whose scope of work included tearing up the floor which might be a one to two-day job. Unbeknownst to me, this was a simple procedure that Foremost Plumbing completed in less than one hour.

When I complained to them, I was told that their estimate came out less than the other plumber's estimate (I realized later that I should not have shared their estimate with Foremost). Remember, the estimate was based on a scope of work that was not necessary and was not done.

After some initial research, I requested a $150.00 refund as it seemed that $300.00 was a high-end for the job that they did. They refused to honor my request.Desired Settlement: I would like at least a $150.00 refund for services that they did not do.

Response:

8/26/2014Dear [redacted],Attached you will find the signed copy of the proposal from the home owner. Our company works on a flat rate price format. We are not a time and material billing company. At no point did we base our price on another company’s estimate. We have been in business for 40 + years and don’t need to refer to any other estimates to provide a price for our work. We provided a quote. She agreed to the quote. [redacted] had every opportunity to have another vendor perform work. I also informed her of that when she sent an e-mail on 8/12/14 requesting a 150.00 refund.(attached) She informed me that if she had another company do the work she would be having the same conversation with them. We did a quality job at a fair price and will not refund any money to her.If you have further questions or concerns please call our office. ###-###-####Thank you,Chris BGeneral Manager
