Foresight Home Improvement Reviews (1)

Review: My name is [redacted] I am writing in reference to the foresight home Improvement Company that have treated me unfairly in the way they conducted Business. They are deceptive and falsely advertising discounts in printed form. I entered a contract that was falsely presented and deceived into signing. I Wanted to have my basement refinished but had a set budget. I was offered a loan at 0% interest for 18 months and its $1500 discount if the pricing was over $10,000. I agreed andsigned an application for the loan with Wells Fargo Bank. I was approved for $23,000 with no intention to spending that entire amount. The Salesman went over a proposal at our first visit and agreed to get back to me With itemized bill of what would be purchased. The agreement was to finished my basement with a ductless air conditioner. The salesman agreed to install the Air conditioner after it was purchased. After the proposal was presented I was told that he would go over the numbers and present me with the contract at a later date. I never did you see that copy of the itemized contract. The proposal stated that the ceiling would not be finished on be installed and that it would cost an extra $1500 to finish the ceiling. I offered to upgrade the hand rail Going up the. They pushed some piece of paper in front of me and told me he Decided to complete that the job was complete stairs in place of the one they was going to provide. I purchased one at the Home Depot store for $150 and it was installed. I was charged $300 for the rail that I purchased. Installation should be a normal part of the completion of a rail for safety. At the end of the job I expressed that I was not satisfied with the quality of work that was Provided and that there was some parts that needed to be looked at and they Refused stating that my suggestion would not look right. I am the paying customer and should get anything that I want. I did not go forward with this complaint because I was feeling vulnerable and advertised job that was not completed in the way that I wanted to be. They gave me a completion order that I signed in order for them to get out of my house. A weekly letter I received an invoice stating that the bill was paid in full by the bank. I contacted Wells Fargo bank to inform them that I did not approve of the company being paid. I did not approve of payment. A dispute was opened in two weeks later. I received a letter stating that the charges a your help will be greatly appreciated thank your charges was valid, I disagreed and reopen the case. I received another letter stating that the charges were valid . When I brought to the attention of the bank that I put like in independent arbitrator to inspect this job and to determine whether it is complete to the standards of the industry. I received yet another letter stating that I was being refunded in total and my balance was zero. They said they would contact the company and take up reimbursement with them. I made a formal complaint to the consumer affairs and did not receive an incident in reference to my complaint. I am writing to your office as then you're appeal to help in this situation. I would like my bill adjusted by $6000 that I have overpaid for this job which was 20,500 plus $3700 for an air conditioner and installation. I was not granted the $1500 discount that was advertised. Also there were charges for services I did not receive, they are itemized on the invoice that I received two after of the job was completed. Furthermore it is my understanding that a job of this sort should have been done with a permit. There was no permit obtained and an electrical project was done placing my house in danger of a fire. I paid $1200 for the ceiling to be completed and $300 for molding that that was not installed as contract. I would like to clear this bill minus the funds that I am entitled to. I would like my home inspected for safety since there was no permit and no inspection after the job was done.Desired Settlement: I would like all charges recalculated and a refund of all money out of my pocket that was paid.
