Review: On Friday, June 20, 2014, I dropped off my 1989 [redacted], to the auto repair shop (Forest Auto on [redacted], in [redacted], Maryland because the radiator light on the dash illuminated and the temperature gage would move above the normal level. I spoke with the owner, known to me to be Abdul. He instructed me to fill out a repair form with my name and number and give him the key. I told him where the car was parked on the lot (limited parking) and he told me he would move it. While still in the area with my ride that picked me up after leaving the car, I noticed the car had been moved when we drove by. The next morning Abdul called around 11AM informing me that the car needed a thermostat. Approximately 1:40PM, Abdul called me to infom me that the car was ready. He said he fixed the thermostat and made some adjustments. I asked him how much was the repair he said $101.50. Knowing that the shop closes on Saturdays at 2:00PM, I asked him when could I pick the car up. I was told until 2:30PM. I arrived approximately 2:20PM to pay and pick up the car. After completing the transaction and receiving the key (from Abdul) I entered and started the car. At that time I noticed the radiator light was illuminated. I turned the car off and went back into the office and informed Abdul that the radiator light was still on. He instructed one of the guys to go with me to "check it out." The "guy" entered and started the vehicle and looked to see that the radiator light was on and then he pulled the hood release to open the hood. While under the hood he said that the sensor connected to the container/resevoir that holds the coolant fluid was not connected properly. He then looked back in the car and he stated the light "went off." At the time Abdul came out to look at a truck parked beside my vehicle and stated that the sensor may be going bad.

Since having a "major tune-up" earlier in the month, completed by Forest Auto (Abdul), the "guy"/mechanic and I began discussing that the car didn't sound right while in park and running. He (the guy) listened while the hood was still up and he said its didn't sound like the spark plugs or some other named part. He stated because if it was one of the two mentioned it would be constant. I sat in the car while he went back in the office to get Abdul and the guy/mechanic came back after approximately 7 minutes and said Abdul said I needed a fuel injection system. He stated that Abdul said he didn't know how my money was. I responed, "Abdul never mentioned that to me. Which he (Abdul) did not. The issue with the tune-up was bought to Abdul's attention the very same day I picked the car up from having the tune-up done.

After having the conversation with the guy and realizing that Abdul was not coming out to talk to me and address the situation I proceeded to leave. As I began to drive I felt and noticed the car was not shiftng properly. I immediately turned around and pulled directly in front. After a few minutes Abdul came out and I opened the door to talk to him and tell him or tried to explain what I experienced or what it felt and sounded like to me. He told me we just changed the thermostat and I made some adjustments because of the idleling. He said the car may just be cold. (It's June) I said, my car has never done this since I have owned it (going on 12 years.) I said maybe I'm not explaining it right. I could only describe what I noticed. He did not look under the hood or even attempt to get in the car with me or try to drive the car himself. He just kept saying all that was done. My car had not been there 24 hours and none of the shifting or lack of shifting had ever occurred before. On Friday, June 20, 2014, I drove the car to work. The car was fine as far as the shifting. After arriving at work at approximately 9AM, I did not drive the car again until after 3PM when I left work. I drove the car directly to Abdul after leaving work. I'm sure its no more than 10 or 15 miles distance. My car was driving/riding fine other than the temperature gauge rising and the radiator light being on.Desired Settlement: I would like my car to be in the same driving condition . I have NEVER had a problem with the gear shifting or lack of.
