Not sure who wrote this compliant I wasn't not the Roofing Contractor that caused the Smoke Damage I was the general contractor on the site doing some work while the Landlord who was also doing a lot of work, to help the Landlord I took this minor problem onFor Clarification there was no property
damage with the acceptation of what the Fire Dept didThe Smoke Damage was so minor that the Fire Dept didn't issue a red tag or stop work order on the building or any further inspectionsI never approached any one, I was contacted by *** (I think one of the owners) from *** *** we talked and made a time to meet on siteThe smoke Damage occurred in the front of the space and their plumber and Electrician were working in the back (not causing any delay for them) and they wouldn't not at first allow us to clean the spaceThey requested a third party to inspect the Smoke Damage, not sure why when I stated I will have the City inspector inspect the space they got all upset and stated I was threatening them??? I did state that it seemed odd that they always lock the door (Windows Covered) while they are in working and trying to get space opened (Typically this is what tenants will do when they don't have all permits or Lic Contractors) That is the only reason why I felt they didn't want the City to inspectCan't get a better non-bias party to inspect then the city?? I have never verbally or by way of email threaten them, and have ask for proof of supposed threatsTiger Bites did allow us to go back in and clean up smoke damage on 9-18-which took us days to clean upSee attached letter from *** *** on closing this caseThe Landlord did state that they were way behind on their build out and trying to get free rentAs of Today they are still not open.Real
