I was informed by our billing manager that she had spoken to this patient on 2/6/14 at which time the patient stated that his insurance company had made a payment; however, we did not show the payment in our system at that time.  I explained to him that it may take a few days for it to...

post to his account. The patient was very nice the entire time we spoke.  [redacted] explained our process and let him know that his account had not gone to collections yet. What we billed him was what he owed per the first EOB we received from his insurance company and our process is a statement, an automated phone call, and another bill. If we get no response then we send to collections, not once did our billing
company receive a call from the carrier nor have they received an email. Our billing manager did receive a call from the patient and his phone call was returned, he did in fact have the correct numbers to get in contact with [redacted] who is the billing manager. The payment from insurance was cashed on 2/4/14 and then it did post to his account on 2/11/14 so when [redacted] had spoken to him on 2/6/14 she was unable to verify the payment. He now has a zero balance and the account is updated. The patient stated he wanted a phone call from [redacted] to explain what happen and she has called the patient and let him know what happened with his account.  Forest Country Anesthesia apologizes for any confusion about this account. The patient stated he call ###-###-#### Ext. [redacted] and email of [redacted]@[redacted].com both of which are the correct the number and email for our billing company.  I am not sure why his emails were returned or his phone calls disconnected.
