See attached documentRevdex.com spoke with business and business states they will be contacting the consumer.Patient mother complaint revolves around Customer Service IssuesDescription of the office issues:To The Staff of the Revdex.com,This letter is in response to case ID ***The mother of one of our
patient's filed a complaint with your office alleging poor customer serviceDescription of:Patient's mother has been rude to our staff on multiple occasionsThe incidents include A medical assistant was attempting to perform a finger stick to check a hemoglobin on her childThis is a routine procedureIt is necessary to hold the patients hand to obtain blood from her fingerWhen the medical assistant took and held the child's hand, the mother became irate, grabbed the child away and accused the medical assistant of “forcing” the child to have his blood drawnShe screamed and yelled at the medical assistant saying that she should "never force her child.” This was an employee of over twenty years without any customer service complaintsI was sitting several feet away and could hear the Commotion from behind a closed doorThe mother then Stormed out of the officeOn another occasion, a medical assistant was trying to schedule an appointment for the motherMother stated that she wanted a well check up the same day but then began to list the symptoms of illness that the child was displayingThe medical assistant said that we didn't have any well appointments for that day but that it sounded like the patient needed an ill appointment and that she would be happy to schedule that appointmentUpon hearing this, the mother began screaming at our medical assistantShe told her that she was being rude, that she shouldn't tell her what type of appointment she needed and to "shut” upOn two other occasions when one of the children was here for an appointment, the mother was rude to staff membersEach time she refused to let the medical assistant perform a height, weight and temperature on the patient to get them ready for the doctor's examThese are standard things, not complicated and not invasiveHer rationale was that these were new staff members, and she only wanted people who knew her children to get them readyShe was not pleasant with her request. The incident in question unfolded as followsThe mother called after hours to the emergency line and stated that she thought her child had bug bites as did another child in the familyminutes later, she left another message saying that the foot was much more swollen and "weepy"She wasn't sure if she had left her phone number and repeated the numberDuring this time period, I had received another call from the emergency department regarding a different childI was discussing that patient with the emergency departmentBy the time I concluded that phone call, mom had left a third messageShe said that the foot was hugely swollen, she was worried that it was cellulitis, and she was taking him to the emergency roomShe sounded franticI called back, and the call went to mom's voice mailI left a message saying that if she needed to go to the emergency room that was fineA few minutes later, mom called me back directly to my cellphone rather than paging me again through the after hour linestarted to discuss the child's condition with momI thought that it was likely that it was insect bites due to mom's descriptionI started to reassure her that cellulitis infections don't evolve that quickly since based on mom's messages it sounded like his foot had gotten significantly worse in a short period of time and she sounded distraughtThe duration of time from the 1" to the 3" call was minutesAt that point in the conversation, mom started screaming at meShe accused me of being rudeShe said that she wasn't stupid and that she was a nurse and knew what cellulitis looked like and then hung up on meAfter she hung up on me, I tried to call mom back to say that I wasn't implying that she was stupidShe did not pick up the callI left a message on mom's voicemailThe emergency room discharge diagnosis was multiple bug bitesThe emergency room report states early cellulitis is possibleSo, they started the child on antibiotics. This mother has been repeatedly rude to our staff at every level of our practice in the office and on the phonePatient's parents in the waiting room were appalled by her behaviorI do not want to expose myself nor the members of our staff nor patients to such treatment any longerI am concerned that we cannot meet the children's medical needs because mom has been repeatedly unhappy with our staffShe cannot have much confidence in our medical opinions when she has treated us with such littlerespect and with such discourtesyThis is the only patient's family in a practice of thirty five years that we have felt unable to meet medical needs
