Just bought a new Salem Cruise Lite RV made by Forest River on June 14, What made us purchase this camper was the outside kitchenJust the best We have not used the camper yet, only sitting on our property and had a camping trip planned for June for the weekend, really excited We noitice the slide out was catching the floor when going in and out Called the dealership to come an look at itThey came to our house, looked at it thinking the slide had to be readjusted Guess what, the floor is uneven where the slide out goes in and out The camper was taken back by the dealership to get permissions from Forest River to repair or to take back to the factory in Indiana Noit just a happy camper Did not get to use it and already a defect Read many complaints and wish I would have read these complaints before I purchased the camper Waiting for a reposne from the dealership on what they are going to do Dealership said they will work with us Will wait to give more feedback when I get a response from them My thought, really do not want it fixed, once broken, always broken

We purchased a new Sierra 385FKBH Destination Camper and on day one, it leaked through the wall and soaked the bunkhouse carpet and walls The water heater was NOT SEALED at all and the rain poured in The underseal filled with water and was sagging toward the ground The awning has pin holes in it where the lights are installedThe eaves troughs were not installed properly and water did not run off the roof A slide out window leaks at the bottom inside the camper wall
With much pressure the factory took it back and supposedly fixed itWe pressured them to get an extra year of warrantyNow, in the last year, the back door won't close, the slide out needs repair, the toilet needs replacing, the window needs replacing, the awning leaks, and other issues still remain The dealer is repairing them but we cannot believe the poor workmanship of these campers Never again will be purchase another Forest River product Expensive JUNK!

Wr have owned our rv years now and have only used it times and every time we have had problemsAll drains has to be changed because they fractured and broke, both toilets had to be replaced because they were leaking, kitchen sink had everything changed out, shower had to have everything changed out all from leaksJust when we thought all was fixed the inverter caught on fire didn't burn the rv down but caused a lot of damage and now after a year and no use of rv I am finding hot wires in the garage area and all we have is a battery saver plugged into the outlet for our HarleyI will be moving our bike out of the rv so if it does catch on fire again it will not damage itThis is the biggest piles of junk you could ever spend on

We are VERY DISAPPOINTED in our RV that we purchased brand new We have had so many problems with it and we bought the better package for upgrades We have not been able to get anything done One problem after another and have been paying for everything ourselves toilet leaking, bathroom sink leaking underneath, bathroom faucets leaking, awning leaks, refrigerator quit, fan above stove quit, fireplace only works part of time....shuts off and won't come back on at times, now a major leak all way around the vent air fan above recliners....pours water all the way around it and holds water between roof and fan when it rains...even around the wiring.....was told last weekend to not use the fan, had it resealed and still leaks badly, air conditioning temp is not correct....ordered a new thermostat Just one thing after another everyday We bought a new RV due to we did not want to have to worry about any problems while we moved and are waiting to get our new home That way we would also have it for traveling It has been a nightmare

WE PURCHASED A SALEM BY FOREST RIVER, SAVED AND SAVED TO PUCHASE A BRAND NEW TRAILER, WORST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES, EVERYTHING FROM SMALL TO LARGE IS WRONG WITH IT....MY ADVICE,,,DON'T BY IT!!!!!

Well where to start we bought a 2013 291 FBXL in Oct 2013 from are local dealership and the problems started went camping hooked the water leaking from the bathtub faucet turned water off and did with out over the weekend the front bunk door wouldn't shut rear step bent so we take it back to the dealer they fix the faucet and repair the step for , so we get it out in April of this year after setting all winter go camping yay not open the outside kitchen and the shock is ready to fall off add that to the list get to looking around the cook top knobs are crooked the veneer is coming off of the cabinet the counter top in the bathroom is separating and to top it all of my son is laying in on the table and I hear this crash and he falls threw to the floor as I'm helping him up I noticed the floor has a weak spot in it so it earns another trip back to the dealership they fix the table and the veneer tell me that forest river will not let them replace the counter top in the bathroom because it is water damage and they also inform me that there is nothing that can be done about the floor either that I'm just going to have to deal with well it's Oct and we take it out again get to the camp site and the door for the rear bedroom is broke and then I smell plastic burning can't seem to find until I see a flash come out of the bunk room where both lights has got so hot that they have melted and blew the bulbs out of it and now the shower faucet is leaking again this is only a glimpse of the problems that I am having out of this camper I could keep going but I have to take it back to get the above items fixed and listen to them tell me half this stuff is my fault which they did on the table and counter top in the bathroom.

I purchased a Forest River camper June 6, 2015. In the evening of June 10 I turned the refrigerator/freezer on so it would be cold the next day to carry food items on a camping/fishing trip June 11-14. The refrigerator/freezer was not working the next morning. I made the trip without the use of the refrigerator/freezer. I contacted [redacted] Walcott, IA and they referred me to the customer service for the refrigerator/freezer manufacturer. I told them I thought it was unreasonable to expect me to trouble shoot a new unit and that I wanted a dealer to repair the refrigerator/freezer. They arranged for me to take the camper to [redacted] in Cedar Falls, IA. I took the camper to [redacted] June 19th. They have been in contact with Forest River to approve a warranty claim. It has been six days and Forest River has not even approved the claim! I find this lack of customer focus infuriating.

Buyers beware!! Poor quality product and even worst service. I have a Cardinal, almost every appliance, air conditioners have been replaced, workmanship on interior and exterior flawed, bad glue. Appears no product quality being done. Factory has been useless in any help asked. Warren Buffet should be ashamed that his company is producing this type of product and service. Contacting company was worthless. Slideout won't work properly and they won't help. Stuck in Oregon, could be worse.

We ordered a brand new Sierra select 357trip from a dealer here locally we special ordered this trailer to have all the options we wanted included. We received the trailer on or around April 22nd 2016 we were so excited to have our dream trailer actually wondering if we had bought too nice of a fifth wheel. We took delivery of the trailer and all was great towed the trailer to our home and shower family and friends. The trailer then sat on the side of our home for around a week, but the trailer was to long for our rv pad and so to accommodate our trailer we decided to move it next door to my inlaws rv pad. We hooked the trailer back up to the same truck we towed the trailer home with towed it around the block as to get it facing the correct direction to back it onto the rv pad. We started to back the trailer up with the help of my father in law when he noticed smoke coming from the front of the trailer he stopped me right away to check the source. As I approached the pin box on the trailer I noticed smoke coming from inside the box and found wiring to be burning and starting to ignite we then at that point lifted the front baggage door to check the battery at this point we were instantly emerssed in a cloud of dense smoke this is the point we found the inside of the baggage compartment to be on fire as well. Instantly wanting to put the flame out I went to grab the fire extinguisher out of the trailer, and when I depressed the plunger the extinguisher would not work. I then started for the hose and my father in law continued to mess with the extinguisher eventually getting it to work enough to put out the flame. At this point we entered the inside of the trailer to find the entire interior full of smoke as well. I put the slide out and entered the upper bedroom to find major amounts of smoke Determined through my inspection there was no fire inside the trailer just dense smoke. At this point as the situation became less high alert and we both realized the smoke detectors in the trailer never went off during all of this. This discovery is one of the most disturbing parts cause if my wife and our two small children would have been asleep in the trailer we may have never got out alive. At this point I called the dealer and they assured me that everything was going to be ok and that forest river stands behind the quality of their product. The next morning the trailer was taken back to the dealer to get instructions from forest river on what to do to remedy the situation. At this point in my complaint I would like to remind that this $40000 + fifth wheel was maybe 2-3 weeks old and never even been slept in. Forest river then instructed the dealer to replace all the burnt wiring and have smoke treatment if needed. Not do whatever is needed to get this brand new trailer to brand new condition or if unable to accomplish that offer a replacement or compensation for the loss. I then called scott in the warranty dept at forest river and was told by him that they would be unable to do anything more then they were going to, and there was no way to replace or make right. I then recived a number for a Curtis and called and left 4 messages with no return call of any kind. I fully expect a replacement trailer so that I can have the brand new trailer I paid $43000 for and not some fire damaged smoke filled trailer that we don't feel safe using.

MY NAME IS DALLAS W
I HAVE A 1015 FOREST RIVER VILLA CLASSIC THE A/C WENT OUT 4 MONTHS AGO IT'S UNDER WARRANTY AND IS NOT FIXED ... I GET THE RUN AROUND BY a guy named micah k....
Forest rover park models are poorly built
They are not holding up there end of this..
I have babies who are on the road with me while I'm traveling

My wife and I purchased a Sabre Silouhette from Forrest River in Dec 2014. This has been the worst purchase we have ever made. Since purchasing this trailer it has been in the shop more than in my storage facility. We have had repeat problems(major) problems. Shower leak addressed 4 times , water pump and city connection addressed 5 times, A/C improperly connected the list can go on and on. 6 warranty reps in 2 years I've had to deal with and explain my issues over and over. Their warranty process takes several weeks if not months to approved. I am still waiting for an awning to be replaced that was ordered in October 2016.No one in management will return calls. I would never recommend a purchase from this company

I discovered major delamination on the rear of my 2014 camper on 6 October 2016. I immediately contacted Shasta to report the problem. Mr. Alan W instructed me to take the unit to the dealership for inspection and to take pictures of the unit to send to Shasta, which I did. Camping world inspected the unit and sent pictures to Mr. W[redacted]. Mr. W[redacted] stated initially the unit was not warrantied and Shasta could not assist as the roof seals were the cause of the delamination. It was determined by the Camping Word factory authorized and certified paint and body technician that the delamination was caused by internal structural failure of the filon, not roof seals or any other external factors. Mr. W[redacted] stated then stated he had "gone to management" and Shasta would not be able to assist in the repair due to "lack of maintenance and the unit is 2 years past the warranty". I then reminded Mr. W[redacted] that the inspection of the roof seals (aka maintenance) would not have detected the internal structural failure of the filon. I feel Shasta does not care about their customers or the quality of their product.

We purchased a 2015 Cedar Creek Hathaway 5th wheel and now have severe paint fading on the front and rear cap and below rear window. Contacted Forrest River over the New Year with Pictures and was emailed a form with an amount that is well below what it will take to repaint the unit. I sent email to the customer care rep to discuss further and send an estimate to show that this would not cover a third of the cost here in Texas, I was told (by email only) it was only a good will jester and my unit had to have "Special Care" unbeknownst to me regular hand washing, waxing and maintenance is not enough. I left two messages by phone on 1-20-17 for Kelly Ware and have not heard back still. There is only a recording to leave messages when you call the number listed. It is amazing to me that we have an $85,000 unit that they will not stand behind their product and own up to faulty materials. They have since changed the materials and the rep for the company said they had that right to do so as a company. Glad they have since my model which is under two years old looks like it is 10yrs old. I just want what I feel is the right thing to be done. We purchased this RV in good faith and I expect the produce to last longer than an 14 months.

Buyer beware. Forest river cwill not stand behind their product. We purchased a 2013 cedar creek new.warranty expired in 2014. January 2016 we noticed that the frame image was showing through the walls and ceiling. The seams are popping out with nails showing. We took it back to our dealer where they took multiple pictures and sent them to Forest River. The dealer said they had never seen anything like it before. We waited for the reply from Forest River. Now mind you we are NOT full timers in our RV. We use it 3 to 4 months per year. The answer we got from Forest River was ridiculous. They denied the claim as warranty had expired and said our problem was environmental. Moisture caused it as well as smoking or cooking or both. First how did moisture get in it? Secondly neither I nor my wife smoke. Thirdly, we cook outside as often as possible. But why have a kitchen if we cant use it. We expected Forest River request us bring the rig to them for an actual visual and inspection. This did not happen. It appears that Forest River only stands behind their product as long as warranty is in effect. After that the consumer is stuck. We feel this problem was created at the factory. Obviously Forest River does not care about their customers. We literally feel that the rig is falling in on us and Forest River doesnt give a damn. We paid lots of money for this rig and are so very disappointed in the quality and response we received from the factory. So again I state: BUYER BEWARE. if a company wont stand behind their product after warranty expires DONT BUY IT!

We had a terrible experience buying a 2017 Forest River Shasta Revere 30th travel trailer from Mentor RV in Madison ohio. On our first trip we discovered the air conditioning unit wasn't big enough to handle the size of the trailer. We were told by Mike and Eileen at Mentor RV that the AC unit was fine and we would have to live with it. Or Mike suggested buying another AC unit and running an extension cord out of the window. Neither response was acceptable. After a month of rude unprofessional treatment from these 2 representatives we were told we could spend $548 for a larger AC unit. We had no choice but to pay the money as the unit was unusable the way it was. If they would have had conflict resolution skills to begin with, we could have avoided all the unpleasant interactions. As a result we will never deal with again or recommend Mentor RV to anyone.

regards to Coachman Catalina Camper [redacted] number [redacted]. We purchased this 2015 Catalina in April 2014 from Country RV in Chippewa Falls WI. We normally start our camping in early May but due to the weather the first time we were able to go out was Memorial Day weekend. This was a very disappointing weekend. It all started out when we put the slide out we could see right outside as there was a big gap between the slide and the wall. We did not know what to do with this as we could not find the issue so I had to stuff a sock in the gap so we had no bugs in the camper. In the morning when I took my first shower was so dissearting. Needless to say when the shower was done there was water running out into the hall in the dining/living room area. My husband had to take the panel off that held the faucet on as the water would not stop running even after the faucet was off. Finding that the connections for the faucet to the water lines were not tightened on the faucet and water was running out down the back of the shower across the floor. Then later in the day we were going to use the outside faucet and come to find out there was water running out of that before we even used it. That would not shut off as the water was leaking from the top spout on the hose. That just leaked all weekend as we could not get it to shut off. The more that we went in and out the doors they became harder and harder to close as we could see that they needed adjusting as the door was hitting the side of the frame. Which took the finish off the door frame. Also as the day went on and we had to get food from the frig (I always keep a thermometer in the frig) it was not cooling down it stayed at 45-50 degrees this was very concerning as I did not want my food to spoil. I ended up putting some of the food in a cooler as to make sure it would keep. The second day of the camp out I thought I should check were we were at with the tanks as I had taken a shower and did a couple batches of dishes and the gray water still read empty . It was not. Well then the second morning we had to cook inside so I turned on the stove turned the clicker to light the stove and the knob came right off in my hand. Broke. Had to use a lighter to light the stove. Well after this disappointing weekend we had to take the camper back to the dealer to be repaired. Which is a 2 hour drive. Before we took it back we thought we should make sure that the other components of the camper worked so we tried everything and found that when you put water in the tank and used the pump all it did was spit and sputter so that also needed to be addressed. They were very gracious and indicated that they would take care of everything. We told them that we need the camper for a trip the last weekend in June. That was not a problem. When we came and picked up the camper it was a very disappointing experience at the dealership. But that is an issue with the dealer ship. But they indicated that all the issues were fixed. They explained that the faucet was not properly attached which we knew so they repaired that and caulked that back up which looks terrible. They indicated that the pump was put in backwards that is why it would not pump. They indicated that the grey tank light was not connected properly. They indicated that they put in a new temperature sensor for the frig. They adjusted the doors so they fit properly. And they took care of the water leak on the outside it needed washers in the connection. They also indicated that the gap on the slide was taken care of. They put on a new clicker button on the stove. So as per the dealer ship all issues were repaired.

When we got to the campsite we set up and put out the slide and low and behold the gap was bigger than it was before. How stupid they took three screws and screwed up the plate that was to slide in and out with the slide. Needless to say we still had to put a sock in it. We called the dealership and they just indicated that we would need to bring the camper back to them. Another trip. Our next camp out was to LaCrosse about 3 hours away. We still have the gap in the slide and we were told by fellow campers that we had no running lights. So we discovered that the fuse was blown in our truck so we put a new fuse in hooked up the camper and bang the fuse blew right out. Well another trip back to the dealership to find out we had to sit there and wait 2 hours for them to take all the lights out at the top of the camper and check each one of them. He eventually pulled on the wires and must have janked the wire out of a staple that had caused the short. So they had to caulk all the lights back up. Also at that same time had to replace the molding around the doors as it was bulging and coming off. Finally home again.

Then we went camping with our son for his birthday and we used the shower again and I realized that there was water on the floor coming from under the shower. So we took the bottom panel off and water was dripping from where the screws hold the shower frame to the bottom of the shower. Well needless to say we caulked that up ourselves as we did not want to run to the dealer ship again.

When we return from camping we always park our camper by the garage and plug it in so we do not need to take the food out and we are ready to go. As I put the linens back in from being washed and put other things out in the camper I always check to make sure the frig is working. Why I do not know. Well I Had checked the frig on Sunday as I needed to use an item from there and it was fine. But then when I came to put the items in the frig on Thursday to go camping on Friday it was 60 degrees in the frig and everything was thawed out in the freezer. Spoiled. This was very upsetting . I cleaned out the frig and we tried to trouble shoot but found when it tried to light it would switch to the gas mode and would not ignite just a strong gas smell. We just turned it off. Called the dealer and they stated you will have to bring it back to the dealer ship to have this looked at. Another 100 mile trip. After the last trip to the dealership called the warranty rep left a message in regards to the additional needed repair on the slide that now had smears of caulk on. That was September 23. no response. sent an email October 22. Still no response. finally called again today and had to leave a voice mail again. I would say this is a company that stands behind their quality product. NOT. Hope to resolve the issues and seriously looking at trading it in and going with a different company. We had planned on retiring with this camper as it does have a wonderful floor plan. Please be ware when you purchase a coachman catalina.
