Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The statements made by [redacted] are simply not true He never suggested the drain, nor did we ever state we did not want one I asked [redacted] about installing a drain in case of water back-up; and he told me that we did not need one based on the angle of the driveway, to which the slope would go away and to the right side - to follow the natural landscape This idea sounded do-able because the height was there, but he simply did not pay attention to the angle as they finished off the concrete, and failed to properly pitch the slopeRegarding his comment that we shorted him $ [redacted] is not trueWe shorted him $ [redacted] less than the contract price due to the first complaint of poor quality finish and the fact that the driveway edge was not straight or wide enoughThis first complaint letter we gave [redacted] is attachedAlso a copy of the contract is attached; showing total price of $ [redacted] We paid $ [redacted] up front to begin project At the completion we paid him $4,600, which he agreed to - and signed off Paid In Full(See the contract) He initially offered to take $ [redacted] to $ [redacted] off for the poor finish and not straight edge; we decided to take $ [redacted] off, and he acceptedThis all before we realized the slope or pitch of the driveway was wrongWhen it rained, we contacted him by phone and he did not replyTherefore we have filed this complaintSee pictures also attached to show the original width of old driveway, edge of new driveway, water pooling and coming into garage. At this time, no resolution has been made, therefore we will have to take this matter to court Regards, [redacted]

Per owner ***, business said that he told him that he's going to need a drain near the garage, the customer and his wife stated that they did not want a drain added if they could get away with it, also the business stated that he shortened the money that was supposed to be $*** more than what
he was supposed to be paid by the contract, business is prepared to go to court if the rest of the balance for the job is not paid as well

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The statements made by [redacted] are simply not true.  He never suggested the drain, nor did we ever state we did not want one.  I asked [redacted] about installing a drain in case of water back-up; and he told me that we did not need one based on the angle of the driveway, to which the slope would go away and to the right side - to follow the natural landscape.  This idea sounded do-able because the height was there, but he simply did not pay attention to the angle as they finished off the concrete, and failed to properly pitch the slope. Regarding his comment that we shorted him $[redacted] is not true. We shorted him $[redacted] less than the contract price due to the first complaint of poor quality finish and the fact that the driveway edge was not straight or wide enough. This first complaint letter we gave [redacted] is attached. Also a copy of the contract is attached; showing total price of $[redacted]. We paid $[redacted] up front to begin project.  At the completion we paid him $4,600, which he agreed to - and signed off Paid In Full. (See the contract) He initially offered to take $[redacted] to $[redacted] off for the poor finish and not straight edge; we decided to take $[redacted] off, and he accepted. This all before we realized the slope or pitch of the driveway was wrong. When it rained, we contacted him by phone and he did not reply. Therefore we have filed this complaint. See pictures also attached to show the original width of old driveway, edge of new driveway, water pooling and coming into garage. At this time, no resolution has been made, therefore we will have to take this matter to court.
Regards,
