We are regretful that we could not reach a resolution with this clientUnfortunately this client is wrong in his statementWe had a complete price of $to trim maples, and remove large elm treesWe were unable to trim the 4th maple due to this clients renters not being able to move their
vehicles, repairing a vehicle right under the tree, and keep children away from under that 4th treeWe confirmed with client that we would come back if he had the cars moved and properly gave advance notice to his renters to move vehicles and not have children playing under treeNo where in the contract does it say anything about a new treeAlso, client did not want to pay extra for stump grindingWe gave a percentage off the price, a total of $550, that would be due once we had a chance to finish the last mapleUnfortunately wewasted more days of our precious busy season trying to come out to do the last maple for $but cars still weren't moved and children still unattended playing under the treeWe don't charge for anything we didn't finishWe charged just $per maple trim, yet we gave this client $off his total price until we had a chance to trim the 4th mapleClient agreed to pay $for the work that we did indeed complete, we have it outlined with his signature on the invoiceWe would love to have made this client happy, yet it seems that this is a person that constantly has complaints and likes to get things for free even though the co tract is clearly written and signedHe paid the $because he saw we did the work, and our contract states that you don't pay a dime until client is satisfied and project is finishedWe got paid for what we did at a $additional discount, client paid because he was happyBut at this point we refuse to try to come back a third time to no avail while in the meantime this client is making a complaint instead of just getting the cars moved and children indoors like he promised us times alreadyAs a small business, we need to bring in $every day just to stay alive as a business, yet this client had us come out w additional times when we weren't able to workWe never get paid for anything we don't doI have original co tract as well as a detailed invoice to prove these claims

We are a tree removal serviceNever, ever in our history have we ever charged any one for a stump grinding along with the removalThis clients cost was $to remove a tree and dispose of everythingIt clearly states in our co tract that we are only cutting the tree down flush to the groundWe
make this very clear because many clients believe that a stump removal is part of the tree removal, so I write on the contract that we are cutting it flush to the ground onlyA stump grinding is always a separate cost, separate bill, done on a separate dateOur contract also states that we do not take any payment u til the job is finished and the customer is satisfied, we got paid after co plating the agreed upon workI told this to customer several times, and we spoke in detail about this on October 1st, 6th, and 13thSome people want things for free, and think that threatening my business here on Revdex.com will make me just jump up and give them services for freeI am here to say that I run a business, and I make my contracts very clearOut of over 5,clients over the last years, a few like this will always come along, they usually vote democrat thus typically wanting something for free then complaining when they don't get itI'm not Obama, so I'm not doing a free stump grinding, the client can practice capitalism and pay another co pant to get it donePlease read contract with the client on this project if my reply offends you or hurts your feelings, and you will clearly see who is telling the truth

I am rejecting this response because: Offering 2-for-deals (in this case 4-for-3), or some other type of special is a way of offering a more competitive bid for services rendered If you went to the grovery store and bought a candy bar advertised as buy-one-get-one-free for $1, you would expect to receive two candy bars This tree services company clearly outlined these additional services in their proposal/bid, and then proceeded with a simple bait and switch scam The outlined services were never executed in a reasonable amount of time (over weeks), despite repeated attempts to reach the business, ergo the complaint. The rest of the comments are sadly, more made up statements regarding the business conducted This company and its owner also operate under the name of "*** *** ***", and I'd encourage everyone to thoroughly read through reviews before engaging in business ***
Sincerely,
*** ***

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2015/11/11) */
[redacted] reached out to me on 11/10/15 and stated that the job is now scheduled to be completed on 11/24/15. Assuming the job is completed on 11/24/15, I am happy to remove/rescind my complaint.

If all these claims were to be true according to clients rejection, then apparently we lowered the price by $150 for the last maple tree that hasn't been finished yet. His rejection clearly states that we did everything he paid for, and that we didn't take any money for the maple that wasn't completed. As far as a free stump grinding, we refuse to work for this client any longer, so we can easily reimburse the amount of $0. Same goes for a free tree, on that we will also reimburse $0. We offered these 2 free things because we wanted to make the client happy and help save him money since he was unable to gather more funds for the complete project. But after several complaints followed by his inability to have cars and people moved, we will not be returning for the free items. The free items were also not on the original proposal, they were added at the end in fear of nonpayment, and since client is still not happy we refuse to build a further relationship with him. This client is a young kid who uses his parents money to try to run his parents real estate business, yet he obviously has a lot to learn. His other contractors, which we met, also said that this was the last time they will ever work with him. He often doesn't pay his contractors, and failed to have cars moved so we could do our job. As his rejection letter states, we left out $150 for the tree we didn't do, basically proving we didn't take any money for anything we didn't complete. Period.
