10/11/2014Revdex.com,We understand [redacted]' feelings here; however we believe that after reviewing all the facts and evidence that the accusation is false for the following reasons. First we will agree that we did in fact perform an oil change on her [redacted].1 - [redacted]...

declined the visual courtesy inspection so any existing issues could not be known.2 - I have watched and offered for [redacted] to watch as well, the video evidence of the oil change where the oil is being drained, and new oil being installed in the car. [redacted] witnessed this being done.3 - Since the oil was installed using a pour container with a spout and not an oil gun there is no way that 9+ qts were installed in the car since the max the pour container will hold is ~7 qts. If 7 quarts were in the pour container the tech would have had to use a large funnel to fill the engine with oil as well as using both hands. Neither of which was done for the filling of the vehicles' engine.4 - Only one pour container of oil was poured into the car.5 - After the oil change the vehicle has over 1,400 miles on it since we changed the oil.My insurance adjuster said that it was not possible for the car to go 1,400+ miles on 9+qts of oil.[redacted] rep also stated that with over 9+ qts of oil that the car would not have made it 200 yards, let alone 1,400+ miles.A [redacted] technician also said the same thing as the GM contact.Even though I feel for [redacted] and do not believe that she is intentionally trying to scam for a new engine, I have no doubt that someone else did put oil in the car, We are 100% not guilty of the complaint issued by [redacted] and the evidence clearly proves that we are not guilty. Therefore, we will not be replacing her motor for free.Sincerely,Nicholas W

Owner [redacted],

As requested, I have provided statement and timelines below:

• I received an oil change from your establishment listed above on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 around 10AM from Mechanic Andre M[redacted]. The oil change took approximately 30 minutes.

• I drove approximately 10 miles away upon stopping at traffic light my vehicle shook and cut off. I restarted it and drove to work.

• On my way home from work around 12 Midnight, the vehicle stalled again. But did not cut off. For about a little over a week, my car would stall or cut off, I could restart with a jump. I thought it was the battery.

• On August 18, 2014 and I contacted [redacted] and let you know the issues I was having with my car which didn’t start until after I received oil change. I was told to bring car back when I got a chance.

• On Friday, August 22, 2014 when I attempted to bring car back to [redacted] it would not start at all. I left car in parking lot and received a ride to my second job. Still thinking it was the battery.

• On Monday, August 25, 2014 I received a ride back to my car and was able to jump start car it cut off again and would not start at all.

• On August 29, 2014, the lot owner had my car towed

• On Thursday, September 4, 2014 I was able to have car towed to my Mechanic. Once my mechanic Nick took a look at my car, he told me it was not my battery as I thought, he informed me the reason my car kept cutting off and ultimately stopped working is because it had too much oil “Having too much oil is more damaging to your car than not enough oil.” He advised me to contact [redacted] and let them know what they had done. (see mechanic statement attached)

[redacted] Owner Interaction:

I contacted [redacted] informed them what happened:

• I spoke with Manager Wilson Friday, September 5, 2014 and I proceeded to explain what my mechanic stated above. Manager Wilson stated he would have my car towed to [redacted]

• Manager Wilson from [redacted] had my car towed Saturday, September 6, 2014 at expense to [redacted]. Manager Wilson informed me that [redacted] would take full responsibility and he could not look at car until Monday, September 8, 2014.

• On Monday, September 8, 2014 I received a call from a different person Owner [redacted] he was apologetic and stated [redacted] would take full responsibility. I expressed to Owner [redacted] that I had two (2) jobs and this was an inconvenient. I also notified Owner [redacted] how much money I was spending catching cabs and asking for rides to two jobs. Owner [redacted] told me to keep my receipts and he would reimburse me.

• On Monday, September 8, 2014 (evening), I received a call from Owner [redacted] stating he wanted to put me in a rental car because the problem he found would take a while to fix.

• Owner [redacted] called me again later that day (Monday, 9/8/14) to ask if an insurance adjuster from [redacted] contacted me yet, I stated no.

• On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, I received a call from Owner [redacted] and he was no longer taking responsibility. He expressed he wanted to take a statement because the timelines didn’t add up. I told Owner [redacted] that I would provide him with a statement versus him typing one because he could interpret my statement unfairly.

• I received another call from Owner [redacted] on Tuesday, 9/9/14 stated he contacted [redacted] and they told him my timelines don’t add up.

• On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, Owner [redacted] informed me “ he watched the footage of his Mechanic Andre M[redacted] putting oil from the hose/spray gun, in my car and he didn’t see him putting in too much” and he asked me how long would it take for me to get statement to him because he would have to start charging me storage fees

I have attached the statement from my mechanic and statement from dealer that sold me the car.

This is my statement.

Sincerely,

[redacted] ###-###-####Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to fix what they have destroyed on my car and replace my car keys that they misses placed

Business
