The HOA where I live contracts with this roofing company for repairs to the townhomesRepresentatives from Bob Piva Roofing were scheduled to arrive at my home at 4pm on Friday January 6th to check out a roof leakI had intentionally scheduled this when I would be homeThe owner of the company (and his son) arrived nearly hours early without informing me they would be earlyMy daughter and granddaughter arrived home to find these two men sitting on the curb near our house (nowhere near their company truck)She was concerned about their presence because she didn't know who they were and they wore no identifying uniform or clothingRight after she got into the house, they rang the doorbell and announced that they were there to look at the leak in the front bedroomBecause they knew where the leak was, she let them into the house but she was still uneasy I followed up this visit with an email to the HOA management company, voicing my concerns that they had 1)not called me to say they would be early, and 2) had nothing identifying themselvesIn the email, I expressed that my daughter was uneasy with their presence since they were sitting on the curb when she arrived home The HOA management company forwarded my email (minus my personal information) to the companyI received a phone call from Bob Piva (owner of the company)Rather than the apology I would have expected - he was irate! He yelled at me repeatedly, did not understand why I thought he should have called to say they would be early, and thought my concerns and my daughter's uneasiness was ridiculous and "sensitive" He made disparaging remarks that were completely unrelated to anything such as "you don't even own the property, you own the air space"I don't even know what that means, but he is clearly unbalanced At the end of the conversation, when I told him he would never be in my house again, he said "I know where you live and I'm coming back to your house"I took that as a threat and have filed a police report against himThis guy is scary and should not be interacting with the public

On the roof in question, we painted a reflective coating on the roof in This came with a year maintenance guarantee after the roof was coated, the owner began a major remodel on the houseDuring the remodel, we were never contacted to assist in sealing up the new holes they cut through the coating Only after the holes were cut in the roof, did he call us to do leak repairs.We have documented the many numerous holes they cut into the roof, relocating plumbing vent pipes etc Clearly this voided any guarantee we had on our coating Still, we have tried on numerous occasions to assist the owner by making emergency repairs, however any scheduling of repairs is met with a very difficult coordination of attorneys, consultants and owner all needing to be present, along with requiring us to sign legal documents, just to get on the roofIn our years in business we have well over 20,satisfied customers Unfortunately we are unable to satisfy this one

My daughter and granddaughter arrived home to find these two men sitting on the curb near our house (nowhere near their company truck).
