Improperly diagnosed septic issue. They said french drains were needed ($2,000). 5 days later, the original problem still existed. Called, no responseWe were under contract to buy the home/property for which Forever Clean was contacted in order to ascertain why there was standing water in and around the septic field, a strong smell of sewage coming from the distribution box, and to further inspect the tank. (As the potential homebuyers, we had had another company come out on Nov. 4, 2015 to inspect the system. They indicated repairs were needed). Consequently, the then current homeowner contacted [redacted] to come out and "fix" some issues. Then, on Nov. 18th, we came out to inspect the property once again, and the homeowner noted that [redacted] had detected other issues that needed attention. They said that rain water was running into the distribution box, that french drains were needed to divert it, and it would then take a few months for the field to dry out. Still wanting to purchase the home, (and with only 12 days until closing) we opted to pay the biggest part of the bill to install the french drains. On 11/20/15, we paid Forever Clean $1500.00, and the current homeowner paid them $500.00, to install the french drains, and pump 1,000 gallons from the septic tank which according to them, would fix our septic "issues". We closed on the house on Nov. 30, 2015. Five days later, Dec. 5th, our yard had standing water, and an awful smell of sewage coming from the distribution box. We had trusted Forever Clean to correctly assess our septic issue, we were out $1,500, and we had the original problem. We called them that evening, and they said they'd get back with us on Monday. We felt a bit uneasy about having them come back out, considering they had not "fixed" the problem to begin with, so my wife contacted another company. The other company came out Sunday morning (for free) and diagnosed our issues: the distribution box was deteriorated, had tree roots growing in it. The D box was also not level, and was above grade - which is not to code. We did not know that, but Forever Clean SHOULD have known, and should have fixed that immediately. My wife called Forever Clean and left a message stating what the new company stated about our septic, told them not to come out on Monday, and that she would be contacting the Revdex.com if they did not refund a large portion of our $ for doing unnecessary work. Someone from Forever Clean called when they got the message - said they would talk to whoever did the job and see what the deal was, and get back to us. I told them I had been involved from the beginning of the problem and I knew what had occurred. They never got back to us. They not only misdiagnosed our problem, they did a job that was not necessary (costing us $1,500 and the previous owner $500). We were told by the new company that is only going to take $800 to fix our "original" problem. I think Forever Clean should pay for that./////Desired SettlementRefund $800 - pay to fix the problem /////
