To whom it may concern,
Our records indicate Ms. was charged on 11/22/18 for shipping costs in the amount of $4.95 and $4.99. At this time, we have no record of a charge for $89.95 that Ms. is inquiring about, as her account is cancelled. We want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

The products cost $5 a piece, and came with NO return information, No paperwork period. I didn't even have an 800# until after they stole $180 from my account. They never even sent me an email when I ordered the product, so I never even got to see their so-called 2 week trial information. I am returning the products today, and they claim they will return my money minus shipping 10 days after they receive it, but my bank will not consider it fraud since I provided my card number for the initial $10 charge!
Product_Or_Service: Forever Embrase eye and face cream
Account_Number: AXXXXXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like my money refunded and I would like this business to be handled like any other scammers in America. They should be required to email any info when their product is ordered.

To whom it may concern,
Because customer satisfaction is very important to us, our customer support department has fully refunded Ms. for the charge of $89.99 that occurred on 11/29. It will take 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on to Ms. account depending on her financial institution. In the process of attempting to refund the second charge of $89.95, we encountered a system error. Ms. will receive the remainder of her refund in the form of a check for the amount of $89.95. The check will arrive within 7-10 business days. We hope she is satisfied with the credits she has received and we want to apologize again for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

False advertisement on free eye cream offer - agreed to pay shipping and handling, but ultimately charged for phantom subscription.
The Forever Embrase Advertisement stated the eye cream product advertised was created by Robin Roberts and Ms. Roberts was leaving Good Morning America to start her own company.

In an effort to support Ms. Roberts, whom I admire, on 11/13, I placed an order for the free eye cream sample and agreed to pay the $4.95 for free shipping on the sample. When I received the email confirming the order, I noticed that a free eye serum product had also been added, but blew off the idea of calling and disputing the order, as the additional cost of $4.99 seemed minuscule. I received the free samples, and 2 weeks later from the date of my original order, I noticed a charge of $89.95 to my bank account (I used my debit card to make the purchase). I contacted my bank and explained there must be some mistake, as while the $4.95 charge from McManus Cream was accurate, and the $4.99 charge from McManus Health Eye Serum was questionable but okay, I did not authorize any $89.95 purchase from "McManus Cream." My bank opened a dispute on that charge and provided a provisional credit.

2 days later, I was charged another $89.99 from McManus Health Eye Serum, and thought it best to contact McManus directly. I called the toll-free number that accompanied the charges on my account and was told that when I ordered the sample, the terms of service stated that I had agreed to a subscription and the $89.95 and $89.99 were charges for those subscriptions. I explained that I did not see any fine print stating that I was agreeing to a subscription service, and that I would like the charges credited back to my account, and I would, additionally, be willing to return the free samples which I'd received but had not used (and actually, never intended to use, just wanted to support Ms. Roberts). The customer service rep told me I could not return the samples, I am responsible for the charges and that no credit will be issued.

While I was on the phone with the McManus rep, I Googled complaints against McManus / Forever Embrase and to my consternation learned that not only was the advertisement I'd originally seen false, as reported by ABC News, but it was the first step in an attempt by McManus / Forever Embrase to defraud unsuspecting consumers with a free sample/subscription scam.

I then advised the McManus rep that I intended to report the company's actions to the Revdex.com, at which time the rep shared some mumbo jumbo about going out on a limb to provide me with a "Manager's credit" of three quarters of what I was charged. When I explained to the rep that I was not accepting of only a three quarter credit, but wanted a full 100% refund, the rep hung up the phone.

At this time my bank is fully aware of the disputes against the charges and have provided provisional credits pending investigations.

It is my hopes that the Revdex.com will be able to look into this claim, as well as the claims of others submitted before me, and not only help me receive a full credit for the charges, but will be able to stop this company from continuing its practice of misleading and false advertising and financial fraud upon others.

I thank you for your attention to this matter in advance.

Desired Outcome

It is my hopes that the Revdex.com will be able to look into this claim, as well as the claims of others submitted before me, and not only help me receive a full credit for the charges, but will be able to stop this company from continuing its practice of misleading and false advertising and financial fraud upon others.

Unauthorized charges to credit card.
I recently received a free trial of eye and face creams. Guarantee see results within 60 days. After 14 days my credit card was charged $90 twice. I called company and they told me it was stated that if you didn't call and cancel the membership in 14 days you would automatically receive the next months products and be charged full price. It does not give you enough time to decide if you want it and I did not know about the 14 days limit. They offered me 60% off next product to stay with them but I was too mad. Kept cancellation email just in case I get charged again for anything. Sad thing is I liked one of the products but not their practices.

Desired Outcome

They really need to extend the time to try for free and make the 14 days noticeable. I didn't even know the price of the product.

Forever Embrace Response • Nov 28, 2018

To Whom it May Concern,
After reviewing Ms. complaint, we want to apologize for any confusion. We offer a trial period on our products, we allow our customers to try our full 30 day supply of product for only the cost of shipping and handling for a limited time of 14 days. Once the trial period expires, if not cancelled, you are billed the retail price of the product. We do not offer sample sizes. The reason we send a full 30 day supply to try is because of the overwhelming response and feedback from customers who love the product, and want to continue seeing their results.

Ms. contacted our customer service department on November 20, 2018 to inquire about the charges on her account. At this time, Ms. was offered a 60% discount on any future products. Ms. declined and her account was cancelled. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused Ms. by not having enough time to try her products. As a one time courtesy, we have received one of the charges for the products Ms. ordered and she is able to keep the products as a gift from us. The refund of $89.95 should reflect on Ms. account within the next 3-5 business days.
We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We hope this resolves Ms. complaint.

Sincerely,
Customer support

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
What they did in my opinion was wrong and I am ok with getting one of the two payments back. Unfortunately if I end up liking what I am using, I will not feel comfortable calling the company back and requesting the product.
