Forever Grand Vacations, LLC Reviews (1)

Recently my husband and I in the company of two good friends attended a meeting about Forever Grand Vacations The presenter, a retired teacher married to a retired military man, claimed to be a member of FGV and, in her power point presentation showed us several travel deals that we knew were amazing Our friend's dream trip is to take an Alaskan Cruise and the deal presented to us that day was amazing- approximately $ for room with a balconyAfter the presentation our salesperson, Honest Abe told us all the benefits of joining the FGV "family" We agreed the deals looked good but we weren't prepared to lay down $for membership Thus began the "price drop shuffle" Abe called over his buddy and between them managed to drop our fee to $per couple because we were Canadians and, as thus, would get a special deal! We started to ask specifics i.ehow much of a deal on hotels, cruses and flights would we get? We were told that all kind of deals came up each day because their inventory was huge and no "middle man" was getting any money so the prices were cheap $100.00-$per hotel room We were also told that we could go home right after the meeting, go to FGV website, and see all the amazing deals being offered We were warned there might be a little delay while our account was being processed but very quickly we could check out the great deals
I asked about deals on flights and Honest Abe's boss, who was now with us too, said there weren't great deals on flights but usually we could count on about a $savings per flight I wanted to test this out so I asked him to check out the cost of the flight we had used to come to Branson I gave him all the details and he wrote $on a piece of paper and showed it to me We had paid $360.00!! This was looking pretty good to us He also really played up the fact that we were Canadians He said they didn't get many Canadians down here but we were going to love being FGV members
Both my husband and I and our friends signed up When we got back to our condo we tried to access the website and couldn't I called Dorothy Smith our contact, and she said it would take a few days and to be patient She also told me that once the site was open to us we should phone the Concierge to book hotels, cruises and flight as we'd get better deals than if we navigated the FGV site on line ourselves
We weren't able to access the site until we got home and once we did we were very upsetWe had been deceived and lied to FGV was misrepresented We discovered that :
Fights were more expensive than if we booked them ourselves ( a flight from Toronto to Vancouver return for Sept17-is $Canadian with FBV If we book the identical flight ourselves on the internet it is $Canadian On May I also tried to book flights to Cancun for January and Melinda, the FGV concierge quoted me a price that was $more than the same flight (with West Jet) on line at the same time I booked the flight myself on line with West Jet!
Hotel rooms are more expensive than if we book them on line I want to go to Hawaii in and on June 1st I called and spoke with Chris, another conciergeHe told me I could only book one year in advance and when we tried to find hotel room in Maui and Kiwai we only found two and they cost over $ Amfor the week No deal I asked Christ why he couldn't find deals for me and he said he was merely a Concierge His job was not to find me deals!!! I was stunned
Cruses are definitely not cheaperOur friend phoned FGV and requested an Alaska Cruise with Holland with no upgrade that would leave Vancouver Sept and arrive back in Vancouver Sept24/ The Concierge told Tom he would pay $to Reservation Services who would pay Holland $and then pocket the difference ($646.00)!!! Tom checked on line and discovered that he could book the same cruise with Holland for $and extras would be thrown in
This package should NOT be sold to CanadiansFGV does not service CanadiansTheir deals discriminate against Canadians!!! I phoned Nathan, another Concierge on May and asked about the getaways and specials and we discovered that none of the specials on restaurants, performances, and retail stores work for Canadians because none of the businesses are located in CanadaAlso, there are very few Canadian condos available There are NONE in out of the provinces FGV does not work for Canadians!!!
We would like our money back because FGV was misrepresented to us and we were lied to FGV does not work for Canadians I have tired to resolve this problem by calling Danny Price , the manager, ( long distance calls in weeks) but he won't give out his phone number and his representative continues to stonewall usWe are at our wits end
