Dear Revdex.comI agree that sometimes hyrdo-seeding can and does leave bare spots, that is why it is cheaper than sodhowever I did contact add-a-lawn and told him to go back and rehydro-seed Mrs*** back yard (at our expense)Until you contacted me through e-mail I assumed this matter had been taken

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The owner states that she sent her repair man as his last stop, that is not the caseI was his very firstMy appointment time was from 7:30AM to 8:00AMThe fact that she does not know this shows that she hasn't kept very good records
When I spoke to the first repairman, he walked me through what he was going to doI had to go to work so I left him to do itHe called me a few times throughout the day to discuss what he was doing and the price it was going to beI agreed to everything he didHe had never said that it would take more repair work to finish the job
In July when I spoke to the owner, she said that she would send someone out to take a look - NOT to repair anythingI never authorized her to do ANY repair workAgain, I was unable to be home so I told her that my son would be there to show the guy aroundAll I wanted for them to do was to see what was wrong and why the first repairman didn't finish the job I thought I had paid forI NEVER received one call while they were at my houseI had no idea that they were fixing the sprinklers AND charging me to do soAgain, my son was told that they were going to fix itHe assumed that they were doing it for free since the job wasn't done right the first time...which businesses normally doThey gave him no clue that the fix was going to cost any money
When I got home and saw the bill, I was very upsetFor one, that I was charged at all and also that the fees were higher than the first timeI told her that I had never authorized any work that would be charged to me that daySo she tried to accommodate by lowering the fees by $a sprinkler head and a 10% discount; Which lowered my bill by $Again, I called to tell her that the repairs weren't done correctly since it was leakingShe said she would get back to me to have someone take a look, but I didn't want to be charged any more money so I never followed up and I never received a phone call
The Revdex.com is not to try to get out of paying bills, it is a tool to help customers and businesses to work out their issuesSince she is not willing to do any more other than take me to courtI will make the first move to negotiateAlthough, I truly believe that I should owe nothing, I would be willing to pay for the materials only (sprinkler heads)If she would let me know what the company cost is, then I will make that payment todayI would like proof of what their cost is though.Sincerely,*** ***

Case#[redacted]
To whom it may concern
Mrs. [redacted] first called in the spring and asked us to help start up sprinklers for the season.
I sent the repair man that lives in the Suncrest area as his last stop.
Mrs. [redacted] had explained she was recently divorced and her ex-husband normally took care of the outside stuff.  Spring turn on includes turn on water valve, set timer, check for leaks, and check all sprinklers for damage or improper function. At this time we fix breaks, leaks, and missing heads.
Our goal is to get the sprinkler system up and running. The repair man fixed all the areas that would allow the sprinklers to be used. However Mrs. [redacted]’s sprinkle system has not been maintained properly prior to our first visit.
Mrs. [redacted] called again several weeks later, middle of July to ask why we did not fix everything. I told her I would come out and check the system again and make all additional repairs. She agreed and informed me that her son would be there. When we got there we knocked at the door her son said there were many heads not rotating or popping up he pointed over the entire yard. As we starter to check the system it was easy to notice the system was installed by a do it yourselfer, and poorly designed. Heads spaced too far apart get adequate coverage. It was a good attempt but not professional installed. To fix everything would be to start over.
At this time we went through the sprinklers and fixed eight rotating sprinklers heads, the worst of the worst. We also repaired the drip system. We reset the timer to water more often and longer, to compensate for bad sprinkler design. The bill was left with her son. I did not charge her for another service call or system walk through. We spent almost 3hours making repairs to her system.
The next day she called to ask why I charged more per head than the first repair man. I told her he had charged to little, and I would lower my price to match. I also explained that there was more involved in replacing her sprinklers. They needed rised up to ground level and they were incased in tree roots, which made the job more difficult.  She stilled complained about the price I told her we had a 10% off coupon, for in town customers that I would also takeoff the bill to help.  I can’t do any more discounts as there is no more profit in this job. There is even less now after all my time in trying to explain.
This is a case of a person using the Revdex.com to get out of a debt.
Even with all my discounts and patients this bill has not yet been paid our next step is to let the court decide.

This is not a compromise, this is not a negotiation. This is nothing less than her  trying to get out of paying her bill, just like I stated in our first letter and she proved in her second letter. And trying to use the Revdex.com to strong arm us. Payment in full.
F.G.S.

Review: I received a sprinkler blowout from this business and was satisfied with the service. The employee took my credit card information at the time of service as payment. A couple days later I got a call saying that my card declined the payment. I gave them the number of another credit card to use. Looking at my online bank statements I realized both cards had been charged. The first card was charged on Nov. 5, 2013. The second card was charged Nov. 8, 2013. Therefore, I paid twice--once on each card. I called them back, and explained the situation. The woman on the phone was very nice and said she would ask her bank about it and get back to me. I never heard back. I called and left a message, which was never returned. I called again and the call went straight to voicemail, and the mailbox is full so I can't leave another message.Desired Settlement: Since I was billed twice, I would like to be refunded for one of them in the amount of $38.05.

Consumer

Response:

Consumer called Revdex.com to verify that the business has resolved the issue in April with a full refund.

Set up an appointment for an estimate over the phone, the secretary took my home and cell number for the estimator to contact me if needed, made the appointment to be there between 2 & 3. Waited at the spot for the estimate (which was not my home residence.) from 1:48 til 3:15 never got a call on my cell phone that was with me, that an appointment before was running long, they were running behind nothing until I got home there was a message stating they were running late from the secretary, not the estimator. Now why would you take both my contact numbers and not call both if we had an appointment? Come to find out Forever Green had came late did an estimate and left it in the door, but my question how did they know what I wanted done, cause at this site we are re-landscaping. Some things are going away, lawn and shrubs are being added so how could the estimator know what I want an estimate for. Not Happy with my first impression of Forever Green Sprinklers. I also understand this is the busy season, so all I wanted was a phone call.

Forever Green did a fantastic job on a sprinkler install in our front yard. We had an existing system in the backyard, and they were able to connect both of them so we could control both with one panel. The installers were very friendly and helpful when it came to explaining how to use the unit. They have been doing the sprinkler blow-outs in our yard for several years and they have always done a great job.

Review: I hired Forever Green Sprinklers to install sprinklers, add fill dirt and apply hydro seed to my backyard. The jobs were done over April 6th and 7th of 2015. Forever Green contracted with a company named Add A Lawn to apply the hydro seed. We had a very slow start to our hydro seed. Forever Green nor Add A Lawn has come by to view my back yard so I am not sure why the slow start but there were some issues.

The first issue was [redacted] from Forever Green set my sprinkler timer on April 7th. It was not discovered until about 6 days later (due to being out of town) that she had set the timer incorrectly and the sprinklers were not coming on between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. every 2 hours for 5 minutes per station as she said she did. [redacted] tried to word this as “we had a problem with our timer.” The timer is working correctly it just was not set correctly.

Second, I expressed a concern to [redacted] when scheduling my sprinklers and hydro seed if early April was too early in the year for hydro seed. She said she did not think so but she would check with her hydro seed man to be sure. I assumed [redacted] did this and the sprinklers and hydro seed stayed as scheduled for early April.

In mid-May I followed up with [redacted] as our lawn still was not ready to mow as I was told by [redacted] at Add a Lawn on April 7th that it would be ready after about 3 weeks. [redacted] never gave me written instructions on how to care for the hydro seed. He told me to fertilize the lawn at 3 weeks when it was ready to mow. During this conversation with [redacted] she said that perhaps my lawn needed some spot seeding. I said that was certainly one problem but the lawn was not looking right as not much grass growing. She said she could call Add A Lawn or I could. I told her I would call as I was thinking [redacted] was not quick to respond to our phone calls when our timer was not set correctly.

When I called [redacted] from Add a Lawn he was not very professional and accused me of “trying to get something for free.” He said he would come by and do some spot seeding and look at what the problem was but he said it was the week before Memorial Day and he was too busy to come by until after Memorial Day and he would call me and let me know when. [redacted] also said that he usually does not install hydro seed until May 1st “unless somebody makes him” and eluded that perhaps that was the problem or that perhaps it was because “we had a problem with our timer.” He also said the lawn should have been fertilized at 3 weeks. I told him I thought I was supposed to wait until it was ready to mow which it still was not. I did have the lawn fertilized 2 days later.

I waited for one week and did not hear from [redacted] at Add a Lawn. Since I contracted with Forever Green and paid Forever green for the hydro seed service I called [redacted] back and left a message asking her to take care of getting Add a Lawn back out to my house. She left me a message stating perhaps the hydro seed did not get enough water “because of the problem with our timer” and I should go buy some grass seed and put it on my lawn.

I did not get an itemized receipt to keep from [redacted] but when she asked for a check on April 7th she did present with me an itemization. My recollection is I paid $600 for the hydro seed. I did not find her suggestion to go get some grass seed and put it on my lawn after paying $600 to represent a very good work ethic or what I paid for.

I left [redacted] a message stating I assume she wants to make this right. The lawn was looking better after it was fertilized but that there still were many bare spots.

She left me a message back stating she had called [redacted] at Add a Lawn and she was waiting to hear back from him about coming by to do some spot seeding. That was May 26h and I have not heard from [redacted] or [redacted] since that date.
