Forever Young Landscaping was contracted to widen the customer's driveway, remove and replace some plants, and hardscape some of the yardThe township required a detailed drawing and a $permit fee for a few steps and accent bouldersWe have never dealt with a township who has required such an enormous fee to install such a small change to a propertyWe submitted a preliminary drawing that wasn't accepted because they wanted a more detailed drawingThis was at the point when we were told the permit fee was outrageousWe spoke to the customer and they requested a refund and we agreed to the refundWe have given the customer a full refund as she has requestedOur contractor license registration is active and has been renewed but that had nothing to do with the permit delay or the cost of the permitTo our knowledge, the customer is happy with the outcome because we gave her the full refund she asked for

I am rejecting this response because:I was never contacted regarding any deposit and there was no mention of business needing deposit before they would schedule my job If they had simply contacted me that would not have been a problem but I received no correspondence or calls from them after attempting to contact them for over weeksI have already contracted other company to do the work at this time so I am still requesting a refund for the money spend on permits for Forever Young to do work that they never completelyPlease advise the status of this request

There is nothing confusing, deceptive or suspect about our accounting practicesBefore our new office manager was hired, the previous person wasn’t very knowledgeable in ***Instead of revising or adjusting a current invoice, she would delete it from the system and rebill it under a new
Invoice numberPerhaps the change in invoice number isn’t a common practice, but it hardly falls under the label of deceptive or suspect accountingThe *** implementation has been fixed and the customer’s account is up-to-date and 100% correct in our system In terms of a refund due to the customer, Forever Young Landscaping owed her a refund in the total amount of $6,On June 4th, we returned $5,via cashier’s checkOn June 23rd, we returned the remaining $1,We have documentation of all the invoices, payment receipts, credit memos and refunds issued We will not accept not being paid for services renderedThe customer cancelled our relationship and we refunded to her the money owedA refund does not mean a customer can choose to not pay us for work that we completedWe stand by our work and have always performed quality work no matter the serviceHowever, if we were still the customer’s landscaper and contractor, and she believed our work did not live up to her standards, we could have reviewed our work and discussed it with herHowever, the customer terminated our relationship and she is required to pay us for services rendered In terms of the HICPA home improvement fraud action, the customer should re-read 517.8(a) of the HICPA again517.8(a) states that “a person commits the offense of home improvement fraud IF, WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD OR INJURE ANYONE” (emphasis added)Forever Young Landscaping has never, and will never, intend to defraud her or any past customer or future customerA combination of the customer going on several out-of-the-country vacations and asking us not to perform work during those weeks and the constant wet weather this spring was at fault for the delay in the customer’s project, which needed at minimum 5-consecutive days of no rain to insure the safety of our workers and that her project could be correctly completedWhen it rains, it cancels the entire day for usThis means every project we are working on must get pushed backSince we could not start her project until there was an entire week’s worth of no rain, we were required to wait Since we have refunded the customer the entire amount of money that was owed to her, we consider this matter to be closedWe have attached documentation of all invoices, payment receipts, credit memos, refunds, along with customer balance summaries by dateWe are very sorry we could not complete her project and we refunded the money in a prompt manner

enormous fee to install such a small change to a property. We submitted a preliminary drawing that wasn't accepted because they wanted a more detailed drawing. This was at the point when we were told the permit fee was outrageous. We spoke to the customer and they requested a refund and we agreed to the refund. We have given the customer a full refund as she has requested. Our contractor license registration is active and has been renewed but that had nothing to do with the permit delay or the cost of the permit. To our knowledge, the customer is happy with the outcome because we gave her the full refund she asked for.
