I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would also like to state that I received the documents to the vehicle this morning. I am currently satisfied with the outcome.

Review: I purchased a used vehicle from Formula 1 Auto Imports on April 10, 2015 and used my Jeep Liberty limited Arctic edition VIN# [redacted] as Trade In at the time I owed $20,139.23 on this vehicle to US Bank (finance company) who the vehicle was financed through. To this date June 27, 2015 US Bank has not been paid, which is common practice when purchasing a vehicle using a trade in. I have spoken to different personnel at Formula 1 Auto Imports several times and each time that i've spoken to them they stated that the check was in the mail. This is totally unfair, US Bank is calling my home and cell two to four times a day and this will be effecting my credit. What could possibly take Formula 1 Auto Import close to three months to pay off a vehicle that's sitting in their lot if not sold by now.Desired Settlement: Please Pay US Bank the $20,139.23 that's owed to them!

Response:

Sorry for the delay, the truck was paid off by our floor plan in [redacted]. They denied us from flooring the vehicle at first and we were never advised. We spoke with next gear and the vehicle has been floored. There was a miscommunication between next gear and formula. Everything is resolved now sorry once again, thank you.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:As of 7/10/2015, US Bank has no record of receiving a payment. I was never informed by formla that a 3rd party was involved with the process. I was told the check continued to go to the wrong bank and was returned on several different occasions. After receiving this information I was sure to provide them with the accurate information for us bank. As a result of us bank not receiving a payment since 4/30/2015, it has effectived my credit report and completely demolished the credit ive been working so hard to maintain. I have also accrued late payments. I thinl formula should provide me with a detailed letter explaining this to us bank so they can remove the delinquent payments off of my credit report. I can't believe this has taken this long and has become such a disruptive budden on my life.

Review: I purchased a 2007 Ford Explorer from the above mentioned company on November 1st 2014 for $10300. I paid for the vehicle in cash. I was issued a temporary 20 day Newjersey Registration pending the receipt of my car title which the dealer did not have on hand at the time of purchase. I have till date made several attempts to get my car title to no avail. The 30 day temporary registration has expired rendering the car useless to me since it can't be driven, sold, shipped registered etc. Without a title.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my title in hand immediately or return the car for a full refund plus towing costs.. From [redacted]

Review: I sold my vehicle to this business. All paperwork to transfer the title was made once the dealer completed the payoff quote, a date that was set to July 2nd, 2013. No payment has been made. To keep my credit from being affected, I am still making payments for the vehicle to my bank - for a vehicle no longer in my possession.

This dealership already has "my" car on their lot, priced to sell - without having the proper title and documentation.

When I called, I was told paperwork stated the payoff quote was due by July 11th, despite what documentation states.

When I called a second time, I spoke with [redacted] in their finance "department" and was yelled at on the phone saying it was not his problem - that all paperwork was handed over to the accountant and they'd get to it whenever they get to it.

I'm continuing to make payments on this vehicle that is being sold on their lot, under their possession, without documentation permitting them to do so until the July 2nd payoff quote has been satisfied.Desired Settlement: The dealer needs to pay the original payoff quote determined at signing on June 22nd, 2013 and refund to me my last payment on the vehicle that I was forced to make in order to avoid a late penalty and issues with my credit.

After taking a good look at the complaint listed above. We have reviewed all the details and this is our response.

All the documents refer that a check had been mailed out on time and not received buy the 3rd party. As paying off the vehicale in full.

We have been in contact with the client and has made them aware of these findings.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The response is not correct, however I want to end the negative relationship I have with this company. A harassing phone call was made directly to myself once the email from Revdex.com was received by the company on July 10, in which they threatened to leave my vehicle on the side of the highway with no plates then having it towed in retaliation to my complaint with Revdex.com. I called the local police to deal with the matter, at which point the check was signed and shown to the officer (according to the officer who handled the case, as I refused to return to the dealership).

The check was NOT mailed on time from the dealership (due on July 2nd). It was instead received by my bank (3rd party) past the payoff quote date originally agreed upon signing, leaving me to pay the difference out of pocket.

I do not want anything to do with this dealership and am not looking to be reimbursed for this out-of-pocket payment. Please close the complaint with the company. I do not want to be contacted by them again.

Thank you,

Review: I bought a 2010 [redacted] S550 4Matic from Formula 1 Auto Import on August 15 2015, all payments and paperwork were completed that same day and the vehicle was picked up on Tuesday August 18, 2015 with a temporary registration that was to expire on September 16 2015.

Between the day I took delivery of the vehicle and now, I have called the dealer more than 6 times to inquire about when I would get my registration documents the dealer filed and I paid for, but I have still not got the document despite the fact that the temporary registration has now expired and I am unable to drive the car. Here are the details of some of my calls to the business for inquiry on this matter:

1. September 7th, 2015: I called and spoke to [redacted] to ask about my registration document and she said it would be mailed out the next day.

2. September 10th 2015: I called and spoke to [redacted] to inform the business that I had still not got the document and she said the DMV did not send the document to them yet and to wait till the following week.

3. September 16th 2015: I called and spoke to [redacted], she said a parcel containing the document had been sent out and I should receive it on September 18th 2015 or latest by September 21st 2015.

4. September 21st 2015: I called and spoke to [redacted] to complain that I had still not received the documents and she said Formula 1 Auto Exports would send out the documents as soon as they receive it from [redacted]. When reminded that she had informed me the previous week that it was already in the mail to me, she replied that [redacted] sent the package back to them because the mileage was missing in the application that Formula 1 Auto exports filed. My request to reconcile the information she gave me before - that it was in the mail - and this new information was met with a prompt transfer of the call to [redacted]. [redacted] then took my number and promised to call me back but he never did.

Thank you,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I am unable to drive the car without the registration, I need Formula 1 Auto Exports to step up and complete this transaction as soon as possible.

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] called on 9/23/2015 to inform me of her plan to go to the [redacted] to straighten everything out and mail the registration document to me as soon as possible. Then [redacted] called me around 4 PM today, 9/24/2015, to say he would not send my registration to me, apparently upset that I filed a case with Revdex.com.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this dealer on 08/2013. The dealer has offered optional insurance called GAP, initially I agreed to pay for the insurance coverage but then I submitted a written cancellation request on 09/03/2013 to National Safe Drivers/NIU The (GAP ADDENDUM# [redacted]). The cancellation request was sent within 30 days. Therefore, according to the GAP policy I am entitled to a full refund in the amount of $650. The NSD (GAP) processed my claim and my policy was cancelled effective 09/30/2013. The NSD informed me that the Dealership will be responsible for refunding the money and since I am financing the car, the money should go to the lien holder namely [redacted] Bank. The NSD refunded the money to an agent called Customer Retention Services ###-###-#### and the agent was supposed to refund the money to the dealer in a timely manner. I talked to the dealer and initially he denied that there was an agent involved, he was trying to blame the NSD so he can be off the radar. Then after I told him that I had personally contacted the agent, he was kinda surprised and he tried to contact his agent. My complain is about the finance manager being dishonest, he failed to cooperate and every time I need to talk to him I have to drive to the shop because when I call they say the finance manager inst available. He promises to follow up but he never calls. My other complain is the delay, as of today 1/15/2014, I still haven't received my refund although the claim was processed by the NSD on 09/30/2013.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the GAP insurance premium in the amount of $650 as soon as possible. The refund should go to my bank.

Business

Response:

After thorough investigation into the above claimed matter, it has come to our attention that the NSD, has clearly not done what they are supposed to do. After several phone calls to the NSD, it has come to our knowledge that the agent and the NSD do not speak to each other, therefore causing a delay in processing claims properly. We clearly understand your frustration in efforts to have a speedy reimbursement, but unfortunately there are too many people involved in handling one claim. After we has contacted you several times and you have spoken with the owner several times, we have gone out of our way to help this process be more speedy. In the interim, you have taken it upon yourself to visit the dealership to discuss matters in which we have already discussed. After speaking to [redacted] and speaking to the NSD at our finance office, your satisfaction was mentioned that you knew the NSD would take care of this claim, and we would contact you in 3 days based upon that discussion, you still filed a complain with the Revdex.com. It is my regret that this process has taken this turn and we are working dilligently with all parties involved to speed up the process and have an expedite completion.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

As you mentioned, there are too many people involved (NSD,Agent, dealer, bank ... and God knows who else!!) in one claim which makes it almost impossible for me to track the progress of my refund. I would really appreciate it if you keep me notified as where my money is so I know who to talk to in case there is a problem. Please let me know when you send the money to the bank, my satisfaction is upon receiving my refund. I would like to know when I should expect to receive my money.

Regards,

Business

Response:

Thank you for your reply to our previous response. As previously stated there is a process to any refund when multiple parties are involved. I am now going to request your patience in trying to expedite this process. As we have known since this process began that there are multiple parties involved. Your clear understanding of this process was acknowledged from the beginning, so as we wind down and get closer to closing this process, let us not resort to anger. Although I appreciate you sending letters to the Revdex.com, please allow time for the warranty company to send a check to the bank. As they have spoken to you and have spoken to me, they will process a check. I understand it may seem lenghty to you, but it is a part of the insurance claims process. Thank you once again and have a great day.

Review: 01/13/16 [redacted] and his wife gave $ 1,000.00 to Jr representative of Mr [redacted] to reserve the first option to buy a 2010 Nissan Sentra SR, VIN: [redacted]. This person provide us a fake payment receipt signing with a black marker and giving us a business card name to [redacted] ?. Test drive was not done in this day because the car run out of gas. Next day in the morning, I call this person requesting to provide us with the Auto Licensed Dealer Certificacion/ Warranty related to low mileage and year model of the car (Lemon Law NJ). He gave me only excuses and justifications that the car will pass NJ DMV inspection.

01/14/16, 04:21 pm [redacted] call again to Formula Auto Imports to cancel the appointment for the Test Drive, and declined the business to buy that car. Also I requested my $1000.00 cash refund, but they denied to give our money back with the allegation that as per their business policy the money is not refundable. Note: When they received our money, never inform us this policy.

01/14/16, 18:56:23 [redacted] present a complaint against this business with Elmwood Park Police (Incident # [redacted]) and they suggested to file a complain with Revdex.com and later on a [redacted]Desired Settlement: Immediate cash refund for the total of $ 1000.00, to prevent litigation at the Court with the application of penalties for the time they keep our money.

Review: I decided against purchasing a vehicle from them, yet they are still proceeding with loan applications. They have contacted another lending institution two weeks after I withdrew my purchase offer. I received written notice, with an application number and my full social security number printed on the letter offering financing. I called to insure there would be no monies issued on my behalf for the purchase of a vehicle and I was told no such application or file existed. I am concerned Formula 1 Auto Imports, LLC may be using my identity to secure loans without my knowledge. I did not purchase a vehicle from Formula 1 Auto Imports, LLC and therefore; no monies should be issued to them from any financial institution on my behalf.Desired Settlement: I want Formula 1 Auto Imports, LLC to destroy any and all personal information they obtained from me as I considered purchasing a vehicle. All loan information and financial information should be destroyed as well. I do not wish to do business with this company and they no longer need my information. They must stop applying for loans on my behalf.

After further review of your account, it has come to our attention that your credit has not been run since the day that you appeared at our dealership, nor were we looking to run your credit without your consent. Please be advised that our organization adheres and protects our customer's information. We will take all necessary steps to make sure your file is not opened without your consent.Thank you very much and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Review: Formula 1 Import dealership had advertised a vehicle online on their own website and also listed it on other auto sales websites for a price they refused to honor after getting my security deposit for the vehicle. Instead they increased the price adding $3506 to it. In addition, they tried to force me to buy an extended warranty plan ($2999) for promised 3 years (which turned out to be actually for 24 months/30000 miles), charged multiple fees of unclear nature, charged out of state tax and registration/title/plate fees (which was calculated incorrect again), threatening refuse financing otherwise. They lied about expired manufacturing warranty, that actually had 14 months/23500 miles of coverage left (it was their false pitch for the purchase an extended warranty through them. On top of everything, they threw all of it together in a pile and financed it. Not to mention being very rude and pushy, right after they had gotten my deposit.Desired Settlement: I would still like them to honor the advertised price and sell me the car. If not, then refund my security deposit ASAP.

Review: We purchased the vehicle over a month ago and we still have not received the registration to the vehicle. The temporary registration given to us experied 2 weeks ago and the auto dealership does not have any answer for us as to where the registration is or even when we can expect it! We have called the bank that issed is the auto loan and they have no record of this dealership even contacting the dmv with any registration request for this vehicle! We payed over $26,000 for this vehicle and it is sitting in my garage and cannot be driven because the dealer sold us a vehicle that mostly likely still has a Leon on it from the previous owner!!Desired Settlement: I want my registration for this vehicle!

Review: In the contract the dealership charge for documentation fees and Department of motor Vehicle fees. They told me in 10 days from purchasing the car I will receive the plates and registration for my state I live in New York. It is 20 days later I have not received anything and the temporary plates expired , they said they will pay for any tickets I will receive but I don't think that is true and I don't want to wait to find out.Desired Settlement: I want to have the registration and plates, before I receive a ticket. I paid the fees for the process to be completed by the dealership and I want them to hold up their end of the contract.

I am rejecting this response because: Today is day 28 from the being of this contracted agreement. I have not received the registration and plates. I also have not received a courtesy call from Formula 1 auto imports, I should not,and will not extend myself any more than I have. I request the company to kindly contact me "the paying customer" and give me an update as to when I will receive the registration and plates. The company fee's are paid, please complete the service.

Review: I live in [redacted] and I am in the marketing to buy a car. Formula 1 Imports had a 2010 Mercedes Benz E350 advertised on their website for $22991 which I was interested in. I called and so did my brother in law to inquire about the price which was confirmed and an employee at their establishment named Myra also offered to negotiate it down by a few hundred 4. I flew to Newark, took a cab for $60 only to show up and they add to the advertised price $1895 and call it "Shop fee" and $1295 and call it "delivery and cleaning fee". They refuse to sell it for the advertised price. A person at the establishment named "[redacted]" came and started coercing me to buy an extra warranty on the car for $2995 which is the only way he would consider giving me the car at $24000. He kept telling me "it is a few hundred dollars and you look like you can afford it" which made me feel unsafe at the establishment. Then he told me to go and look for a car in **. I picked up my papers and called an Uber cab to [redacted] station where I proceeded with a train to [redacted] station and an amtrak back home to RI. This caused me about $400 in expenses as well as an entire day of traveling due to their false advertisement which Multiple persons (Both my brother in law and me " called and confirmed by phone before I made the trip. It was a difference of $3190 between their advertised price and their asking priceDesired Settlement: My primary desire is to report their false advertisement, dishonesty and coercing demeanor. I would like them to refund me for my expenses which I have receipts for if possible as well.

Response:

I have spoken to the customers brother over the phone. I did in fact explain to him that the internet price is our mostcompetitive price which in fact does not include, taxes, tags, registration, and dealer fees.He asked if there was room for negotiations I explained to him that would be at the General Manager's discretionIt would be contingent on how much we own the vehicle for.The customer did not in fact mentioned that he wanted to purchase the vehicle less than the internet price leavingno room of profit. He failed to mentioned that we did not agree on any price before he came to the dealership. He failed to mentioned that when I asked him how was his flight in he already stated that he had been backfrom vacation, he was visiting family in Canada for the New Year. He had been home for a few days.Hence forth we sold the 2010 Mercedes Benz on Saturday it is no longer available at this time. There are 3 sides to every story what you say, I say and the truth! There are 3 sides to every story what you say, I say and the truth!!

Consumer

Response:

Regardless of the details, there are 3 pertinent facts for which this business was dishonest and misleading:1- the disputed car was advertised by the business for $22991 without any mentions of "additional fees" exceptfor taxes and title fees. 2- I offered to pay them the advertised price. 3- the business refused to sell the car for the advertised price and added $3190 under the title of "Shop and cleaning and delivery fees", none of which were mentioned on the price posted by them nor mentioned when big me and my brother in law called to inquire about the priceI am not interested in the car as I proceeded to buy another car. If they are not willing to compensate me for the expenses, that is fine as well. What I believe is not okay; is the misleading advertisement of the business aimed to lure the customer to their dealership only to add more money to the price. This is a dishonest practice.

Business

Response:

Again I have spoken to the customer who called in I did explain to him the internet price and dealer fees. I explained to him any negotiations would be at the managers discrection. We never agreed on a set price.I have no need to be dishonest I am only an employee that works for Formula 1 Auto Imports
