March 31, 2015
Dear [redacted].In response to your letter dated March 19, 2015, I had email [redacted] on March 24 to supply the name of her deceased daughter and/or her ex-husband in order to correct any problems with the grave site. To date, I have had no response.
We will...

gladly check the site and fix any problems with the memorial that exist. Cemeteries however cannot carry on their business without equipment driving into areas. When the ground is soft our staff lay boards to minimize the damage; but despite our best efforts problems sometimes happen. We apologize for these instances, as we always strive to make sure that families visiting our cemetery have a serene experience.
Thank you,Nancy S
Director of Administration Fort Lincoln Cemetery

I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] regarding the companion memorial on her...

parent’s burial site and immediately re-ordered a corrected memorial. At her request I also had the memorial with the misspelling removed and a new temporary marker placed until such time that the new memorial arrives from the manufacturer.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Review: I purchased a memorial for my deceased mom on December 14, 2012. I'm not sure of the delivery date of the memorial because I was not notified. However; in May 2013 I returned to my mom's gravesite to see her memorial was engraved incorrectly. I've contacted **. [redacted] on several occasions trying to get this resolved. I've sent emails, several phone calls and even a visit to the office. As of today, June 30,2013 this has not been corrected. Please note; I PAID $3519.00 on December 14,2012.Desired Settlement: I want for my mother's memorial to be replaced NOW!

Review: My Sons Headstone was place on the wrong grave site. He was buried in plot [redacted] and his marker is still there. But his headstone was placed in Row *. I brought my sons with me today (6/24/13) and the youngest one noticed his marker and headstone were in seperate places. After looking around more I realized the Cemetery made an unacceptable mistake. I've been coming to visit my son and my children. We've been placing flowers on his grave and talking to him. Words cant explain the hurt I feel knowing all of of this was being done on someone else grave. It is an unbearable pain.Desired Settlement: I would like the issue corrected, an apology, and a reasonable settlement offer.

Review: when I called this cemetery in 2011 after my mom died. she was in charge of my Aunt [redacted] cemetery plot at Lincoln. I called she died and there was no record of this church owing it. [redacted] church. I have a letter showing where the church was suppose to send her funds for 2195.00. I have no record of payment. So I have asked for copy of payment. between the two of these people there should be a copy of payment to my mom. as of this week it has been two weeks and the church has not sent a copy of the payment. so the cemetery should have a copy too. it don't matter it seems someone should have a copy of payment of this matter. I see the cemetery has a F rating which is not good. I can tell by the way they handle their business why they have this grade.Desired Settlement: if there is no proof of payment I should become owner of this plot to give or sell to whom ever I want to. If the church has no proof and the cemetery only have proof of signature signing it over to them with no payment they don't owe it. if I have to go court I plan to sue for way more than is owed for being deceiving on ownership of this plot. You guy took advantage of a women with cancer, she was not in her right mind. I plan to sue both cemetery and church. Its the principe of the matter.

When families sell their sites to another party, the cemetery is not involved in the transfer of funds. We only facilitate the paperwork needed to transfer. We would have no records of what transacted between the two parties, other than they both agreed to put the property in another name, and signatures to that effect were completed. Our records show the site purchased by [redacted] was transferred to [redacted] in 2003. **. [redacted] did not give her aunts full name, but seeing as this site now owned by [redacted] was originally purchased by [redacted] I am assuming this is the site in question. Most transfers that I have seen that involve a church receiving the interment rights, are donations given to the church and the original owner using the gift as a tax write off.
