Took my vehicle to the shop on 2/25/2020. The check engine light was on, the car would not pass emissions. They looked at the car and said it was the Air Injection Valve. They replaced the valve called me to pick up my car on 2/27/2020. I paid $697.03 The light came back on in 20 minutes. I called the shop they said bring it back which I did on the 28th. They reset the light and said drive it the weekend to see if computer resets if not bring it back the next week. I drove the weekend the light did not reset brought the car back on Tuesday 3/3/2020. They kept the car for a week picked it up on 3/10/2020. Light was still on, I took the car trough emissions it failed again so they gave me a waiver. I told the shop they said bring the car back again for the forth time. I asked about refund, they said no because of time and labor. I told them but my car is not fixed, the car still have the same problem with code ***(secondary Air Injection Valve). Which is the reason I took the car to the shop. I only dealt with their manager Jeremy, he keeps saying bring the car back. I have already been inconvenienced because I only have one vehicle. I want to take my car to the dealership to have it repaired and get a loaner, but I can't because I am already out of $697.00. Jeremy told me if they can't repair the vehicle it may be something else. If that is the case why would they say it was a valve and charge me $697.00 for the vehicle not being repaired. My car is the same as when I took it to the repair shop with the light on, only difference is that I'm out of $697.00.

Monday June 24th: Vehicle stopped running at 11am. Reached out to Fort Washington Tires Pros before I arranged the tow to ensure my vehicle will be serviced. When I called I was informed they were slightly backed up but promised to diagnose the vehicle first thing Tuesday morning. I towed the vehicle by 1pm and I informed them about my key fob’s dead battery. Told them to replace it right away.

Tuesday June 25th: I called at 8am to ensure my vehicle will be serviced. I was told it is next up for a diagnosis and should receive an update shortly. Called after noon and received the same spill. Called at 4pm-ish and was told they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it.

Wednesday June 26: I called at 8am and was told the vehicle only has battery issues. They will ensure that is all that is wrong with it. Called back at noon and was told I could pick the vehicle up because the only issue was the battery. Asked why it took so long and received more excuses. Bottom line, other customers received same day service but I had to wait 3 days.

I am not a mechanic by trade but it is absolutely unacceptable to have a vehicle for 3 days due to a dead battery. I am in the working class. The inability to use my vehicle to go to work is an immediate loss of money from my household. I was well prepared for and patient for the Tuesday service...but going into the third day was an hardship. I would have take my vehicle elsewhere. They had my vehicle for three days for a dead battery and charged me $218. The worst part was the lack of customer care when I addressed my concerns. I have taken all of the vehicles in my household since 2012 to this business. I have recommended friends and personally dropped a friend’s car off for service. Not only was I a loyal customer but I always provided them extended time to service the vehicles. This is not the first time I received prolonged service. There are literally two other shops on the same street of this facility. Do not accept vehicles if you cannot have a reasonable turn around. Get a better manager or provide the manager the ability to resolve grave issues. Jeremy just listened to my gripe and told me to have a nice day. At some point, customer treatment should be the priority especially when the customer has spent over $7k in the business over the years. The main reason I purchase newer model cars is to avoid the constant mechanical breakdowns. Somethings are unpreventable but going back to Fort Washington Tire Pros is. Do better. Be better.
