Before I paid for my purchase, I was promised a Saturday delivery by the salesperson.It was a nightmare to keep requesting a Saturday because the delivery company only schedules them once a month and makes no guarantees. The "white glove" delivery promise is a joke - I have dents and scratches on newly painted walls. My dresser was left almost 2 feet from the wall, without the mirror attached and no hardware to install it... the mirror was left on the floor! Four phone, and over a month later, the nighmare continues because every person who answers the phone at the delivery service is a "supervisor", but can never schedule someone to come fix their mistakes on a Saturday. I would not recommend purchasing from this place if you work a full time M-F job.
I ordered a table from Furnitureland South to be delivered white glove. I paid them for delivery when I paid for the table. When the table finally showed up (weeks after they said it would), not only was it not white glove service, the freight company made me pay $71.80 extra for delivery. I had to put the table together myself, move it where it needed to be, and dispose of the considerable packaging. I contacted Furnitureland South and they have not responded. Buyer beware.
we made a purchase in feb, 2015 of a bed from furniture land south and were told 8-10 weeks before our furniture would arrive and that delivery would be able to be delivered based on convenience with multiple times being offered. After working to get updates on the furniture, I spoke with a delivery rep that would make requests for the time of delivery and that they would avoid the 1 time we were unavailable. We received an email a few days later telling us the time we were unavailable( a 5 hour window) would be the only time for delivery and if it didn't work we would be pulled off the truck with another attempt to reschedule a couple of weeks later. I spoke with a manager who said that they choose the time in a convenient way for them and the customer had no control of delivery. They misrepresent the delivery schedule in order to secure a sale and then hold the customer hostage with no control over delivery schedule. This is poor business practice taking advantage of the customer.
