November 9, update I had written a negative review years ago and thought I had updated this review to state that the owner and I satisfactorily resolved my complaint and I have bought more wood from them both in and again today I have found them to be pro-active in “making the customer happy” and will continue to do business with them in the future

On 4/12/2015, customer called and requested an estimate on installation ofTifturfgrassHis contactInformation was then passed on to our contractor who provides the customers' estimatesThe customercalled again three days later and said he was never contactedAfter speaking with the
contractor, it wasdetermined that the customer had been contacted twice and given a price estimate for two pallets ofTifincluding installation and delivery, and was due to call to scheduleOn 4/24/2015, the customercalled again and requested an estimateAlthough confused by the circumstance, I again passed hiscontact information on to our contractorMonday, 5/4/customer called repeatedly throughout theday, a total of telephone callsHe was disoriented, slurring his speech and could not focus longenough to articulate his order for deliveryAt times, he had even forgotten that he had spoken with mejust five minutes priorHis behavior indicated that he was intoxicated or somehow impaired.Approximately 3:15pm, the customer called again and was finally able to place an order for grass to bedelivered and have it installed himselfDuring phone payment, he had difficulty providing his credit cardnumber and gave an incorrect security code, I had to call back twice before he was able to correctlyidentify and provide the three digit security codeThe customer was sent freshly cut sod that came inon the morning truck on 5/5/Tuesday, 5/5/2015, we received a call from the customer thanking usfor the grass and apologizing for his behavior the previous day, the customer stated, "The grass looksgreat " Wednesday, 5/6/2015, the customer called at 9:00am to tell me the grass we sent him was notfresh and stated he was going to send someone down here to "kick my as." On 5/6/at 10:am,the customer called again, the call was taken by the owner of the company, who informed him not tocall while "inebriated, or otherwise" and threaten employees or the proper authorities would benotifiedWe have not had any further contact With customer since.Regards,*** *** *** ***Fort Worth Grass & Stone*** ***

I reached out to Fort Worth Grass & Stone to see if I needed to pre-pay for a large order of sod to ensure availability on the day of the pick up Jeff, who is the owner, was taking my call As I was trying to explain the reason for my call, without any reason Jeff became irritated and started to raise his voice at me and saying things like "What do you want me to do? Give you my first born?" I asked Jeff if everything was ok, and that I was puzzled by his response because I was not asking him to do anything, other than calling to see what I needed to do to make sure I can secure my order before pickup Jeff pressed on with the attitude, and stated that he was trying to do his job Later I called and cancelled my order due to poor customer treatment I stated to Jeff that I hope my action was a learning experience for him to treat his customers with respect Jeff proceeded to argue with me by stating that I was just as much at fault for him to raise his voice with me Reading over other reviews, there is a trend of this owner disrespecting his customers My advise to Jeff would be to focus more on the business side, and hire someone to face customers Clearly, Jeff doesn't know what good customer service looks like Meanwhile, I will be taking my business elsewhere
