Fraud was done to my elderly mother by E.E.E. Energy Efficient Equity company.
My elderly mother ***, who lives alone and has congestive heart failure and dementia was swindled by this company called E.E.E. (Energy Efficient Equity). They are associated with the P.A.C.E program of Los Angeles and do loans for low to moderate income households or make improvements that are alleged "Green Loans" that are predatory. These companies go through these low income neighborhoods door to door and solicit business from mostly seniors. I have contacted the police and they said there was nothing that they could do so I am contacting you PLEASE HELP.

My mother lives alone, her house is paid for *** XXXXX) and is on a modest income to support herself. They approached her about installing a green tankless water heater that would be green and affordable under this company E.E.E. the application date was November 09, 2018 they told her that she would receive a phone call and a contract to sign. During the phone call they asked her if she was interested in the program and she said yes and then they asked her to record her voice saying "yes"

My Mom thought that she was agreeing to being interested not signing up for them to install the tankless water heater. She has demential and was confused that she was actually consenting to them installing the tankless water heater. She thought they would be sending her the contract tin the mail so she could give to me her daughter *** who has Power Of Attorney for my mother but that was not the case.

They emailed her the contract and left the spaces for her to sign empty, but they had already gone ahead and used an electronic signature from her phone call with them. The next day the contractor came out with his company and installed the tankless water heater. My Mom tried tp stop them but they wouldn't listen and were already installing outside her house.
The Contractor's name is *** - California State License Board Contractors #XXXXXXX
I have called them numerous times and spoken with his assistant (Deanna) but he would not speak to me.

I have also been in contact with E.E.E. the financing company and I have been given the run around. After calling numerous times and sending emails I was given the head if the grievance department and spoke to her Alisha Anderson (Head of the department). (XXX) XXX-XXXX ext. XXXXX email - *** She finally called me and asked for a copy of the Power Of Attorney that I have that they would need to come and pick up this tankless water heater, so I sent it to her. Nothing at all came of this and the time was approaching when my Mother's first payment was due.

We have not heard from anyone and now my Mother is on the hook for 15 years paying for this tankless water heater. They have attached her payments to her Property Tax Bill... which I know is not legal. This tankless water heater will be costing her...

Amount financed *** Financing term 15 years Interest rates 5.99% Payment amount ***
With the interest and annual administrative fee of $95.00 she will be paying *** a year for 15 years which totals ***

I am extremely ANGRY and want this company to come and get this tankless water heater and give my Mother her money back. They need to be exposed for the evil predators that they are so that no one else's family has to fall prey to this type of fraud. They need to be shut down immediately.

***
(XXX) XXX-XXXX
XXXXX *** Road Rolling Hills Estates
*** XXXXX

Desired Outcome

Give my Mother her money back and come and pick up this tankless water heater that was illegally installed.

hello I am passing for the same situation and not sure what to do can you please sent me the information where to go for help I am in desperate situation now, please and thank you.

E3 was represented by a contractor went to my home promised work to be done and was not fraud loan.
A contractor representing E3 went to my home where work was to be performed at my home the work was not completed. I requested in writing to have the loan docs provided to me. In there I found information I never provided as far as income, phone numbers and email address this was fraud and the contractor never completed the work. E3 violated many consumer laws by not verifying that this work was done also not signed by me. I have contacted the City Attorney as well as Senators and house elected officials to help in this matter I am a single parent on a low income and now loosing my home.

Desired Outcome

E3 has placed a lean on my property and my property taxes have gone up to *** making impossible for me to stay in my home with my children as these loans are added to your property taxes and my property taxes are impounded into my mortgage.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your financing with E3. We are sorry to hear about your hardship and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We pride ourselves on providing very clear and detailed financing terms and repayment options. During your application process we contacted you via telephone to welcome you and walk you through the financing process. After the completion of your energy efficient product installation, we again contacted you to do a completion call and confirm the project work was completed to your satisfaction and that you understood the financing terms and repayment process. Both of these calls were recorded for quality and training purposes. You confirmed verbally on these calls that you understood the financing terms, repayment process and were satisfied with the work completed by your contractor. Our investigation has commenced; however, if you would like to discuss further offline, please contact us.
Thank you!

Energy Efficient Equity is responsible for conspiring and fraudulently financing a PACE loan in the amount of *** owed on my property taxes.
On May 3rd 2019 a sales contractor and *** a representative of E3 financing. Conspired to take out a loan in the amount of *** with a lien attached to my mother's property, and to be owed on her annual property tax bill. The sales contract produced by *** was forged and was never signed by my mother nor was the sales contract ever presented to her. Had my mom ever been presented a *** she would have never agreed to finance a loan that high.

E3 financing works with a program called Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE). But misrepresented the program because my mother was never spoke to E3 or *** which was the person handling the financing at E3. The financing was done behind my mother and I's back. Never were we in the know how that we were financing using E3 because we never spoke nor consented to taking out a loan with E3. The sales contract from E3 has forged signatures and initials that are not my mother's signature. I don't know how E3 managed to finance over $*** in debt without the presence of my mother and her identification.

I have attached the sales contract for your review.

Desired Outcome

I need E3 financing to dismiss/cease the fraudulent sales contract that is currently placed on my mother's property taxes which a total amount of *** We did not agree or consent to this outrageous amount.

E3 has standard practices in place to confirm financing approval and product installation completion before funding any contractor. The consumer not only provided their personal identification, income verification documents, but also completed a recorded welcome call and settlement call. The consumer was made aware of the financing terms on numerous occasions (i.e. the recorded welcome call stated the financing terms and consumer confirmed they understood and the recorded settlement call also reiterated the financing terms, confirmed the work was completed to their satisfaction and was informed how the financing was repaid). On October 11, 2019, the consumer and her son spoke to our CSR (Customer Service Representative) and again E3 confirmed on the call the terms of the financing and consumer confirmed she did complete the welcome and settlement calls. The consumer also confirmed she signed the contract. An E3 CSR received another call from consumer on October 14, 2019, and on that call consumer confirmed that all work was completed and working, but then stated they did not complete a welcome or settlement call. It is unfortunate that six months post funding the consumer has remorse for obtaining financing with our company; however E3 did follow the standard practices for approving and funding the financing. We never describe our financing as free to any extent.

Sincerely,

***-***

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not agree with E3's statement regarding that they explained to us the terms and conditions, If they did it was to someone other than us. My mother never sat with representative from E3 nor spoke to them over the phone nor presented her identification or documents to E3. My mother did not sign, nor did she allow E3 to verify our documents nor personal identification. We did not speak to E3 prior to financing the loan. I'm not sure who E3 got confirmation, or our documents from but my mother nor I consented to financing. We did not get a "welcome call" nor a "settlement call" as they representative from E3 made in her statement.

The signatures and initials on E3's contract are forged and not my mother's signature, and the email address on the contract is made up. Additionally, the terms and conditions were not explained to my mother. She never agree to financing nor was ever explained that that a loan was going to be taken under her name and property.

The reason it has taken us so long to report this finance fraud is because we never received a finance contract that E3 claims to have given to us. How were we supposed to know about this when we did not agree to financing nor did we have any contact with E3? We did not know who E3 financing was at all!! Until we found out by the way of our property tax bill given to us in October. The way my mother and I found out about this loan was when we received our property tax bill and I noticed an unusual high dollar amount charged. I did some research on E3 because we did not know who they were, and this was the company on my property tax bill. I found their customer service number and got ahold of a customer service representative for the first time on 10/11/19, and to our dismay we received for the first time a finance contract from E3. They provided me the contract via email with the terms and conditions for the very first time. At this this point I also found out that this loan is over a 15 year term and was to be charged on our property taxes. E3 is lying about having "confirmed" terms and financing on 10/11/19. All I did on that date was find out what this loan was all about because this was the very first time my mother and I knew about this loan.

This is ridiculous! There is no remorse on our behalf because we never consented to a finance loan with E3. It is unfortunate that E3 is not understanding what they have done and the severity of the fraud that was committed with my my mother's property.

Furthermore, I spoke to *** on 12/27/19 who finance representative who financed this fraudulent loan under my mother's property. On 12/27/2019 I explained to *** what happened in my case, and he told me that he is well aware that the contractor "***" who came to our house and is no longer doing business with E3 because of known fraudulent activity. *** then advised me to call *** who handles "these" matters according to ***. So I called *** on 12/27/19 and left her a voicemail because she did not answer. Another week went by and I called *** again on 1/2/2020 and left *** another voicemail because she did not answer. I then called *** again on 1/2/2020 and he gave me her email address, so I emailed *** on 1/2/2020. On 1/3/2020 *** called me back and told me that *** would be contacting me soon but until this date, I have not heard back from *** who is E3's representative and who *** says I need to talk to over my fraudulent loan. My point is that *** is very aware of other financial loans taken out from E3 as being fraudulent because he told me, and I want to make my case and voice be heard that we did not agree to this loan nor were we EVER presented the terms and conditions of E3's loan. Had we been presented the contract, we would have never agreed.

Please contact me and I would like to talk to *** or anyone at E3 other than *** because she does not understand that we did not agree to this loan nor did we ever presented with a contract/terms & conditions the contract prior to getting our property tax bill!

I would also suggest that E3 do their homework and research regarding the Contractor (***) who is also apart of my fraudulent loan.

Respectfully

I do apologize that our previous response to the consumers complaint went unaccepted. I assure that we do not pride ourselves on portraying our financing as any type of free program and take extra steps with our consumers to ensure they are in complete understanding of the financing terms, pricing, scope of work etc. We are currently investigating ***'s complaint regarding the recent improvements and the financing for his mothers property. I am happy to speak to him as well and work together to resolve this issue. I appreciate your patience and look forward to speaking to you soon.
Sincerely,

I brought to the finance company attention a fraudulent solicitation sale that was carried out by their company.
A man from American home comfort came to my home on May 13th soliciting a free program to eligible homeowners that met the criteria to receive a no cost energy efficient water heater. Used my digital signature to complete finance documents and this finance company completed the transaction. I first spoke to them on June 21st when I received a letter for the first time. I had no knowledge of the finance documents and they confirmed they had a wrong number and email on file under my name. They also have a recorded phone call that was made to the wrong number with two different genders claiming to be me accepting finance terms. The CEO of American Home Comfort has done what he can to resolve the situation but the finance company has not taken any accountability for their negligence in this matter.

Desired Outcome

I request that under the fraudulent circumstances the finance company modify the interest that was originally assessed. I would ask that the interest be applied to the remaining balance only After a lump sum has been applied to the principle portion of the original amount of the loan ***.

I have agreed to a settlement regarding this complaint. As a condition of the agreement I must provide proof of my withdraw. Therefore I would like to withdraw my complaint. Please send proof that this request has been received and closed.

Thank You

Requesting proof that my signature was authorized electronically to enter into an agreement in February 2018.
I received a document from my daughter showing a document was signed by me and my wife electronically on February 5, 2018 and February 6, 2018. No time stamp was listed. I do not recall signing or receiving this document electronically. I requested proof from a representative named Leah and she said to check my e-mail. I do not have access to laptop, it is broken. If they sent the document to be signed electronically, they should be able to proof it was sent to me and a date, time, when me and my signed and they received it in their office. My daughter has also called three times and has not received a return phone call from Leah 858-353-8215.

Desired Outcome

I want proof e-mailed that me and my wife authorized the financing of the solar panels by Energy Efficient Equity.

Complaint can be closed. The rep called and spoke with me. Thanks.

I'm making this complaint on behalf of my mother she is 80yrs old and she was solicited by this company and their contractors my mother does not have a good understanding of what contract she signed contractor came to install windows there was 5 windows that were put in very poorly no sealant used old materials were re-used and for $*** that this job was is very poor quality of work done we tried contacting and we constantly get another phone number never directly reaching who we need to to have it re done the loan is for 15yrs and payment is added to her taxes she is not allowed to pay more than 2 payments a year which are $621.90 and is a loan that with interest will reach $*** also they have a lien on her home we contacted loan company if we can pay in full they will add a process fee of $795.00 and she has to send in a cashier check and will take 2months before we get confirmation of payment accepted very questionable considering $*** and having to wait that amount of time and if it gets lost she will still have $*** to pay and a lien on her home.We want to know if this is correct on what there telling us is correct even though these people came together to solicit my mother there moving very slow on getting contractor back out here to complete repair hopefully we can get answers or results to get these issues resolved and maybe this can help someone before getting a loan like this seems to be more like a predatory loan and they preyed on my mother 80yrs old and they gave her a 15yr loan not very honest taking advantage of her
Product_Or_Service: Windows
Account_Number: EX-XXXXXXXX-XX-ap

Desired Outcome

Finish the job My mother has money to pay in full she wants windows that were not installed correctly to be corrected and she wants a confirmation when she sends in payment not just send out$*** and it gets misplaced or lost the way she has been treated by these people is wrong she is worried and they assured her everything would be fine

Contract signed for $*** for PACE energy efficient work. After almost one year, only about 25% of work done but company requuires full payment
We were lured into this contract for PACE program and signed up to get work done in order to improve the efficiency of our home. The contractors hired did not perform the job even 25%. Energy Efficient Equity has a lien recorded on our title and wants us to pay the full amount back. We contacted them several times via e-mail and several voicemails. We were told that they understand that there were fraudulent contracts submitted and they will help us resolve it. However, nothing has been done and we keep leaving voicemails and sending e-mails with no response. The company is ignoring all our requests.

Desired Outcome

We want to have the title clear as we have been trying to refinance the house for over 45 days now. The refinince is at a halt because of lack of response from Energy Efficient Equity. We want to pay what is actually due for the work performed (about $***) and have the title clear so we can proceed with our refinance.

has been in litigation on this assessment. The litigation is complete and E3 has reduced their assessment amount. The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice on 8/12/2018, as a settlement has been reached. E3 is unable to comment further, but we have requested, through *** attorney, to have *** close the Revdex.com case. I am hopeful you will receive confirmation from*** to close this case shortly.

They didn't respond to my emails asking about how to get tax credits that I paid off in Dec/2017 for PACE program through E3 but no one replied to me.
I had a loan through Energy Efficiency Equity,AKA E3, for PACE which was assigned to this company by SaveCal, & I was told I could get tax credits for this expensive program which was the main reason I did this expensive loan. & I paid off the loan in Dec/2017 after selling my home, so I had this loan less than
7 months.
Even before paying off the loan, I asked how I could get tax credits for the loan that was provided through E3. But they kept saying to ask my CPA & would not give me any further information except payment schedules. So I asked my tax preparer, but he didn't know anything about this except getting $300 on Energy Efficiency for 2017 tax. So I emailed E3 again 2 more times asking to reply how I could get the tax credits or refer someone who knows about this, but no one replied to me. I had to pay $*** for the loan that I had $*** that I had about 6 months, & I'm not getting any sources how to get the tax credits that I had to pay almost $*** just for AC & heating installation I had for this program. I need to get the answer I could get the tax credits at least more than $300 for $*** loan that was paid off in less than 7 months. & I don't even know if they overcharged me or not since this is a government program that no one explains how this works. Thanks.

Desired Outcome

I want to get the tax credits for this program that I was told I would get. So, they can either give me the instruction how to or the contact person who knows how to since my tax preparer does not know. They are so clumsy & irresponsible not to reply to a simple question but kept sending me a payment schedule for 30 years that I don't need.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes, they sent me the lien document for the items, but that's not what I requested. They just sent me an email & then mail for that. & that's why I was more upset that they never listened or communicated.
What I asked was the interest fee they charged me for the entire loan I took with them which I ended up purchasing to sell the home since NO home buyer would want the monthly installments for that AC & heating system on top of the mortgage with raised home value. & that's what I was told at the beginning by the program seller *** at SaveCal thst I could get tax credit for the interest that I pay for the loan as well as monthly payment per *** at that time. But when I asked for help to get tax credit for report, SaveCal didn't help but delegated it to E3 since E3 is the financing company who did the loan. But no one knew anything about this from E3 & no one followed up with this after endless calls & emails. So they did not send me the actual interest charges that they charged me out of almost $*** program loan. So there must be something going on that they could not tell or give me the interest charges they charged me in writing.

Fortifi Financial Response • Sep 26, 2019

E3 has released this lien. *** insists she needs tax credit information. E3 is not and does not have CPA certification and we are unable, legally, to provide tax information. The "tax credit" she appears to be requesting is something that her CPA must advise if she is able to utilize. We do not guarantee any type or amount of tax credit as each consumer's individual income tax is based solely on their scenarios. Please also note the address provided on the complaint is incorrect. The E3 project was completed at

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Everyone else said its should give the tax information, & that's what I was told by SaveCal. & E4 did not say they don't give tax information at the beginning, but they kept circling me around with different representatives. Besides, you should get tax information for anything I pay for like sales receipts or even mortgage payment or pay off. I don't understand why they're saying they can't provide tax information that should be in any sales.
