We worked on the clients case for over monthsThe only reason that we stopped working on the case was because the client requested us to do soThe client paid the attorney for foreclosure defense work which entails getting some type of resolution with their caseTheir contract
reflects that there are no guarantees as to the outcome of the caseThe client was months behind on their mortgage when they came to us for helpWe feel that they are trying to blame us for something that was already an issue prior to joining our firmIn addition *** *** referred the client to the law firm he did not work for our law firmThe clients decided to short sale their house which we would have helped them at no cost but decided to hire another attorney to do so.Sincerely,

June 19, This letter is in response to the complaint by the above mentioned customer ID.We received this customers request for help with this matter on 11/08/as indicated by the CustomerAt the time he was months delinquent with an outstanding delinquency of $
His monthly mortgage payment was $This included Principle, Interest, Taxes and InsuranceHe had an interest rate of 6.250%.Customer is claiming he paid our firm and sent in requested documents and never heard back from usThis is incorrect information supplied to you by the CustomerI have several documented emails between our Case manager and the Customer as well as emails between myself and the Customer discussing his fileI have included these documented conversations with this letter for your reviewIn addition to supplying incorrect information regarding the above paragraph, he also gave information stating he contacted *** ** *** and was informed they had never heard of us and were unaware he was being represented by our firmI have included numerous documented discussions with *** ** *** proving this to not be the caseCustomer is well aware we had contact with his ServicerCustomer was approved for a Trial Modification on Feb 19, Customer was called on Feb 28, by his case manager to inquire if he had received his documents and customer responded he had notHis Case Manager then informed him his trial monthly payments would be $with his first payment due on April 1, He was also informed this would probably change once he had satisfied the requirements of making these payments on time for consecutive months but that would not be determined until the end of his trial phaseCase manager also called Servicer to request a new package be sent to the customer as he still had not received the one mailed on Feb 19, Several emails were sent between Customer and Case manager regarding the terms of his MHA Trial Modification.
Customer contacted me on 03/19/that he was not satisfied with his payment and his interest rateHe wanted his interest rate lowered to at least 3%I explained to him the programs are not interest driven but rather per Government Guidelines, are determined to be 31% of your Gross incomeAs well as that, he was severely delinquent on his taxes and insurance that his servicer had been paying for him for the past months and his delinquency is factored into determining his new payment amounts, I advise client that after reviewing his income and expenses information, MHA determined he could afford those pay those payments and it would be in his best interest to accept this modificationI also explained to him after making consecutive payments each month, he could apply for another Government Program called HARPMaking Homes Affordable Refinance ProgramI told him to let us know what his intentions wereThat was the last time Customer had contact with our firmHowever, we have had contact with his Servicer to verify client has made all of his trail payments on time each month and as a result of those payments being made on time,he was provided a permanent loan modificationHis interest rate is be reduced to 2% and his payments are $a monthThis will include his taxes and insurance as well as Principle and InterestCustomer has agreed to this and signed the necessary documents on June 1, I believe we provided all that was agreed upon to this clientHe was given all he asked for which was a lower interestrate, affordable payments and the ability to keep and maintain his propertyIf his escrow arrearage had not been so extreme, his monthly mortage payments would not have been as highCustomer is providing and inaccurate information to the Revdex.com in an attempt to receive funds from our companyPlease see enclosed documentation providing contact with his Servicer as well as emails between this Customer and our firm to prove the deficiency of his allegations, No refund will be grantedSincerely,

Dear Sir/Madam:Fortress Law Group represented **. and [redacted]'s from July 18th 2013, until June 30" 2014. The file was closed after Supervisor Pam T[redacted] spoke with [redacted] and informed us that the house was being sold through Short Sale, and the private buyer was closing on the house...

within the week. During the time we had [redacted]’s file, we made frequent calls to their [redacted] Finance receiving information to better assist them with trying to keep their home... We applied for a loan modification and the file was denied Sept 2013, Meanwhile, the borrower, [redacted], lost his job and they were not able to apply for another modification. So they decided to short sale the home... by May 2014, [redacted] Finance put a Sheriff Sale Date on their home for July 17th 2014. Tyler L** the client Case Manager at Fortress Law Group kept up with his weekly calls to the client with updates, and asking for any documents that were ever needed... as the Auction dates get closer, Supervisors monitor these accounts to insure the clients have extra attention... So Pam T[redacted] called the clients in June and that was when [redacted] confirmed the home was being sold to a Private Buyer. File closed due to home being a Shot Sale. In conclusion because of the amount of work that we did on the file the [redacted]’s were able to live in their house an extra year. They were not scammed and we did exactly what the contract stated. Unfortunately there are no guarantees and that is what the contract states. The [redacted]'s were very far behind when they contracted our firm. It was no fault of ours that they lost their house.Sincerely,
Roger ROperations Manager

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: After numerous calls and being passed to several different people and taking my money upfront, I did much of the work on my own.  It was months before they even tried to obtain authorization to speak to my mortgage company.  I was contacted by John S[redacted] who told me that he worked with them.  I have also asked for an accounting of their time spent on my case which was never provided to me.  They did nothing to assist me in my loan modification and I am going to pursue this with the bar council.
Regards,
[redacted]
